Having resent my iPad using the Settings route, the Apple logo appeared onscreen and a line below it filled from left to right. When full, the device did nothing. I was able to switch it off and back on, only to see the same Apple logo and filled line. Even pressing the ON botton for a few seconds did nothing. The device is now inert, and I cannot access it. Please help!!!

Reset iPad and continue with Restore.
Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears
Note: Data will not be affected.

If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

Welcome to the Apple Community.
I have seen previous versions mentioned in a pop up message before on iCloud.com, but I'm not really sure at all how it would help, as I couldn't get it to do anything.
The best advice I have at this time is to back up your work on your iOS device by regularly saving it to iTunes, if anything goes wrong you can then either load it into the numbers app again on the device or recover it via iTunes on your computer.
My syncs are immediate, I never get chance to see if it works in the background, sorry.

A reset may help. Tap and hold the Home button and the On/Off buttons for approximately 15-20 seconds, until the Apple logo reappears. When the logo appears, release both buttons.
No content is affected by this procedure.

Updated iTunes, movies, tv sow up, but when I click podcasts, only the 'What's New' window shows up. Next to the Podcast title in the sidebar, the number of podcasts appears, but they do not appear in the window.

I updated iTunes and now my podcasts will not show. On the sidebar, it states I have 35 unplayed, but when I click on the podcast option, a "What's New" window opens up. Tv, movies and music - no problem. But I cannot manage my podcasts.

Hello Ugmasters, did you find the solution to this problem as I have it as well, spent nearly four hours on phone to apple yesterday, they were very thorough and very patient but still couldn't resolve issue, think it has something to do with zoom button but couldn't zoom out xx

We had to intall a new hard drive and upgraded to Windows 8.1. We can see all our music on I-tunes but when we try to sync the gen 5 nano our new music (since upgrade to 8.1) does not end up on the i-pod. Any ideas.

We recently installed Window 8.1 and now our new music does not sync to our i-pod nano. Any ideas?
We have tried both a generation 5 Nano and new Nano.

Thanks for the question. I understand you are experiencing issues with the iTunes library on your PC. To begin, I see that you recently installed a new hard drive. Did you happen to copy over files from the previous hard drive? If not, I suspect that the iTunes library is no longer locally stored, and what you are seeing is your iTunes in the Cloud purchases.
Do the tracks have a download icon that looks like this?:
If so, you’ll want to download these purchases as they are not locally stored on your computer:

After doing so, go ahead and attempt to sync your iPod once more.

TA44469 i have a video that plays on my iphone, but when downloaded to windows, only the audio plays and the video is black. help,

i have an iphone 4s. I can take a video and play it on the 4s just fine, i have always been able to down'load to my pc and view videos with no trouble. But since mid-october 2012, when i download the video to my pc, and try to play it, same as always, I am getting only audio and the video part is black. I can hear everything happening, but no picture. any thoughts?

Try updating to QuickTime 7.7.3. (That has helped a few people who were getting that when trying to play the videos with version 7.7.2.)

I'm editing a wedding that I shot for a family member but when I play it in the viewing window the top of it is cropped off but I can see the whole image in the project strip. will the whole image transfer when I make a dvd or will it crop the top ?

I'm editing a wedding that I shot for a family member, But when I play it the top of the image is cropped off in the veiwing window but it shows the whole image in the project strip. When I make a DVD with it transfer the whole image or will it be the chopped off image and how do I make sure it is the whole image ?

What version of iMovie are you using?
For 9.09..
If the image is not 720p, you might have to crop it to have freehand control over which bit gets cut off.
How to crop it...
In the project window hover your cursor over a section of the clip in the bottom right corner as seen below:
Click on the cog and open up Cropping,Ken Burns and Rotation.
Click on Crop and drag and set to where you want it to be cropped, then click Done. (Because mine isn't 720p, iMovie automatically makes it so I cannot include the black border. If you do not mind this click Allow Black.)
