HT1454 iPhone to TV connection
I am having trouble hooking my iphone 4 to my HD TV. Got the Apple Digital AV Adapter to hook iPhone to TV's HDMI port but am only get sound and no picture. Am trying to stream PBS's "Sherlock" from PBS app.
I also tried to stream YouTube and get no sound and no picture. Any ideas?
We have watched many movies on our 31" tv from our phones with good results. The quality isn't the best, but if your looking for HD you wouldn't be watching it from a phone.
Oh, and the phone didn't act any different from when we watch videos without the tv connected.

Is there any way to get a log of the bluetooth devices my Iphone has been connected to? I recenly had my Bluetooth Jabra stolen from my car and now a simliar one is on Craigslist. Your contacts should still be on whatever program you sync your iphone to (i.e. Outlook, address book).
The iphone is not a stand alone device. It is designed to be synced with a computer. If you have not been syncing with a compatible program, then you are out of luck. Your contacts are not included in the back-up because it is meant to be synced with your computer.

I have had this problem multiple times. My iphone cord is connected into my usb cord and is charging but will not show up in my itunes. So i am unable to do anything with it concerning music and such. How do i fix this?

Try closing the Mail app completely and see if it works properly when you re-open it : from the home screen (i.e. not with the Mail app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Mail app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
If that doesn't work then try a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot. -

I recently put on a PowerPoint presentation at DU, in Denver Colorado; signed on as DU guest to access Internet link. SInce then I haven't been able to get e-mail on my Iphone - Cannot Get Mail, Server Stopped Responding. I tried all previous suggestions, such as rebooting phone, updating software etc. I went to MacBook Pro and tried logging on to yahoo e-mail. Apparently there was a security risk to my e-mail account so Yahoo locked up my account. I reset my password, it was verified through text message, and Voila it worked. Don't forget you also have to change this on your Iphone: go into settings; Mail, Contacts, Calendars; click on your e-mail browser, then account and enter your new password, click done and it will verify on you phone as well. How do I find all the purchased items on my iPhone? When I try to update the iPhone iOS while connected to my MacBook it says there are purchased items on the phone that have not been transferred to my iTunes library and that I should transfer them before updating.

Jabber for iPhone force auto-connect
Hello,
Does anybody know if it is possible to force Jabber for iPhone/iPad to connect to a wireless SSID network as soon as it is available?
We recently implemented Jabber and we are noticing that some times, users arrive to the office, where corporate SSID is available, but even if jabber is running on the background, it won't automatically reconnect to the network.
User will have to manually open the application and wait for Jabber to reconnect.
Is it possible to make this process automatic for the user?

The issue is that if Jabber is running on iPhone's background, even if wireless connection is activated, it seems to disconnect. In order to reconnect, user has to manually open Jabber and wait for the connection to establish, especially to make calls.
The same applies when a user is running Jabber, he arrives from outside to the company and wireless reconnects to corporate SSID. Jabber won't automatically reconnect until user opens the app.

i have an iphone 4, i connect it to my laptop using the usb and then when connecting to itunes it says my phone is not up to date with itunes yet i cannot find an update 11.1 for my phones itunes? someone please help me.. kind regards
Itunes 11.1 is for your computer, not your iphone

trying to activate my iphone 5. when connected to itunes its says i need version 10.7. but when i try to update, it says that im current at 10.6.3.
iTunes version 10.7 requires at least Mac OS X version 10.6.8 if you're running a Mac, or Windows XP Service Pack 2 or later if you're running Windows.
Is your computer up-to-date enough for iTunes 10.7? -
Why can't I update my iPhone 4 to iOS 5.1? Every time I try it gets all the way done downloading it; however when it's processing the file the page tells me "There is a problem downloading the software for the iPhone. Network connection timed out. Make sure your network settings are correct and your network connection is active. or try again later." and next to the file it has err = -3259. I have tried this 17 times and it won't work. My iTunes is completely up to date. I have made sure that my connection is fine and I have tried turning my firewall off with no avail. This has happened to me before but usually the update will go through after 2-3 tries, never to this extent. I don't know what to do. Help!

My ipod (version 6.1.3) was connectiong to my home wi-fi just fine until I uploaded new music from my itunes via my laptop. Now my ipod and my iphone will not connect to my wireless network. I've uplugged my wireless network and reset my network settings etc... nothing seems to work. Please help!

Did the iOS device connect before?
Try the following to rule out a software problem:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Power off and then back on the router
- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
- iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
- Wi-Fi: Unable to connect to an 802.11n Wi-Fi network
- iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points
- Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

Hi everyone! I tried to install the new iOs 7 on my iphone 4, but it wasn't completed (showing error 4005). Now, my iphone is stuck on the itunes' logo with the usb cord, and I can't use my phone. And itunes doesn't detect my iphone when I connect it on my computer, so I can't put it in recovery mode or someting like that... What can I do?? I tried everything they tell me to do in the apple support but nothing seems to work. Thank you!

Update: my PC USB hub was connected to a USB 3 port, I connected the 30 pin cable directly to my PC, And the restore worked just fine. Restored phone from iCloud backup and seems to be working fine. -

my problem is my iphone 4s is connected to wi-fi with full signal(3 bars) strength but freezes when browsing and says
"Cannot Open Page"
"Safari could not open page because the server stopped responding"
I already reset the iphone to its factory settings and erase all contents but still the browsing speed freezes or not searching at all. Sometimes it will work and fast but then the problem uccors every now and then. Iv'e been using iphone 4 for two years and I still have it and works fine compared to this IPHONE 4S.Settings → scroll down to Safari → in Safari settings, I selected both Clear History and Clear Cookies and Data.

Restart or reset your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
Finally - if problem still present -
Go to Settings>General>Reset
Reset the network settings - you will need to add the password of your home WiFi in your phone once more
The device should turn itself off & back on then go into Settings>Wifi and join your network -
Well, I guess my heading says it all. I am trying to delete multiple (like A LOT) of photos from my camera roll on my iphone 5 without connecting to my computer. All other instructions I've read on here do not work. (I'm not saying I read ALL instructions though) But the ones I've read, do not work.
I DO NOT want to connect to my computer to do this, so please read what I am asking! It HAS to be possible, it's just downright silly if it isn't and I'll be ****** about the 3 grand I've given to Apple in the last few months for various reasons...
