HT1535 i cannot get to a screen that says library and my IPOD only shows 1 song when there are many more. My IPOD does not show upas a adevisw under my, or any other name really ready to toss it out the door.
I can't get my IPOD NANO to update my libreary onthe new itunes webset. It will no recognize my older musis, it shows noting to selece onthe right side of sreen to select musid, shows nolibrary, mostly shows nothing. Really frustrating. any help would be appreciated
You can only sync to one computer/iTunes library. To make this your syncing computer:

I keep getting a black screen that says hold down the restart button
I keep getting a black screen that says to restart my Mac G4 1.4 Ghz. I'm using OSX 10.4.2 The black screen tells me to hold down the restart button. Anyway pressing the start button doesn't do anything. No response using the button on the front of the Mac either. This just started today. I end up having to unplug the Mac. If I start it with the option key held down and choose my OSX disk, the one I normally use it real let me log in as usual. I've repaired disk permissions. Came back to it again a few hours later started the system up it did the same thing.

when i use signature option i try to use rectangle, it gives option of certificate signature, does not give me webcam or digital signature or any other option to sign, have downgraded to Adobe X, no options show. Have upgraded back to XI no change. Free software I am using currently.
There are two types of signatures in PDF: electronic signatures, which are just images (stamps, text, image) and digital signatures.
If you want to use electronic signatures in Acrobat XI go to Fill&Sign->Place Signature. If a drag rectangle for the digital signature dialog comes up, you have selected digital signatures and Acrobat/Reader remembered it. Cancel it, go back to Fill&Sign->Place Signature and click a triangle to the left of "Place Signature". Then click on "Changed Saved Signature" and select the electronic signature type you want to use.
If you want to use digital signatures you can create custom digital signature appearance. Go to Edit->Preferences->Signatures->Creation&Appearance->More. In the "Appearances" section click "New". You will be presented with the dialog that allows you to create a custom appearance. If you want to put there your picture or image of your ink signature, you need to prepare this image as a file beforehand, select "Image" radio button, browse to the location of your image file. In Reader you can use only PDF as your image file. In Acrobat you can use many more file formats: JPEG, PNG, etc. -

Anyone have any idea how to fix this problem. I have reloaded the software from the original disk and have downloaded the latest update and still get the same error.Did you delete all receipts with iDVD in the file name with either a .PKG or .BOM extension that reside in the HD/Library/Receipts folder and from the /var/db/receipts/ folder before installing the new copy? If not then do so and delete the new application also.

I keep getting a screen that says "Unable to Download" [song] with two choices - "done" or "try again". I have tried both and can't get rid of the screen ( and don't want the song which I never ordered to begin with. Ideas on getting rid of the screen??

In a word, yes. In a little more detail.... When you restore from an iCloud backup, you must erase the device and start all over again. There is no other way to access the backup in iCloud without erasing the device. Consequently, you are starting all over again. Therefore, it would also be my assumption that Pages and Numbers will work again and that the deleting apps issues would be fixed as well.
If the documents are not in the backup, and you do not have a backup elsewhere, the documents could be gone forever. -
I've never had this problem before. Always when I click on Mozilla Firefox I get the Aol screen asking for my password to get my aol free e-mail. Why am I all of a sudden getting this Google screen which I can see no way to exit from it?

You should take a look at the Knowledge Base article [[How to set the home page]]. Your homepage might have been changed to the default Firefox home page. It sounds like you just want to make webmail.aol.com/ your home page. Just enter that into the address bar and hit enter. Then follow the steps to make that your home page.
If that doesn't work you should look at the article [[Preferences are not saved]].
If you don't see the navigation bar to enter an address or any of the other navigation buttons, take a look at [[Back and forward or other toolbar items are missing]]. That article will show you how to turn on the navigation bar again.

I get an error message that says date and time can't be set
I am ready to send this thing back as it appears to be the first apple product that does not perform as advertised. I have been through the menus and set the time and date the best I can and I still cannot log into itunes.
You have it set to automatically set the time and date. To do that it has to be able to reach out to iCloud to get the time and date and something is blocking it from being able to do so. So either need to fix the network/Internet connection or set it to not automatically set the time.

I bought a used ipod touch that had 2200 bad songs. Unfortunately I decided to delete them before I started purchasing music. EVERYTHING was deleted. The screen is blank except for the itunes emblem. Help!
First, try a system reset. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until the screen blacks out or you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. -
Why is that only 2039 songs are copying when there are clearly more songs to be copied
i tried copying songs from my MUSIC Folder
in my USB to my itunes
and there are more then 4000 songs in it
but when i try copying the songs to Itunes
only 2037 songs are bieng copyed
i dont know why is this happpening

What type are these songs?
Where did they come from?
Do they play in the Finder? (select one and press the space bar). -
Besides the word Firefox is a reddish square. Clicking on either the word or the box makes it disappear down to the bottom try. I am at a loss. I've always used Firefox without any problems, now I can't access it. I deleted and reinstalled 4 times this morning. Help

I click on Mozilla Firefox, which I've used for a several months. It opens as expected and then. within a few seconds, an "iGoogle" page opens. It has no apparent exit. I've tried to right click and Esc. I've tried a power cycle a few times and thhe same thing occurs. I don't recall doing anything to initiate the display of the page.
Check the Home page setting.

It is possible that there is a problem with the files sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.
Delete the sessionstore.js [2] file and possible sessionstore-##.js [3] files with a number and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.

Deleting sessionstore.js will cause App Tabs and Tab Groups and open and closed (undo) tabs to get lost, so you will have to create them again (make a note or bookmark them).

When I go to the local paper's from Elmira,NY and some other sites I get a drop down banner at the top of the page that tell me Firefox has prevented this page from reloading,but when I go to the allow button that you put on the right side of the banner and click on it the banner goes away and then it comes right back. It will come back every time you click allow until I click on the x box. So I want to know why is the allow button there if it does nothing?
Click the Firefox button, go to Options | Options | Advanced and in the General tab, remove the checkmark from "'''Warn me when websites try to redirect or reload the page'''".
You won't get that dropdown banner anymore afterwards. -

Some sites will get ads that hijack your browser redirecting you to the App Store or give malware popups trying to scare you into downloading and paying for junk.
Contact the site and advise them you will not be coming back to their site if they continue this behavior.
