You're welcome. Have you tried the new request desktop site feature in Safari ? If you hadn't type iCloud.com in the URL field, tap go. When the icloud page is on the screen tap the URL field, pull Favorites down, tap request desktop site. Now you're able to do things on your iPad which you used to have a computer to be able to do.

Lost all contacts etc after downloading the new software please help
i downloaded the new softward today and have now lost all contacts pictures messages etc iphone was backed up but when i started the download the iphone went into restore mode. im completely at a loss. need all data back especially pictures
Did you fail to import your pics before updating?
You can try restoring from backup
You should be syncing contacts with your computer regularly. Have you failed to do this? -
It literally happened while i was at work and every time i connect to wifi or connect to itunes it still work activate even though i've already activated it.. what's going on.
If you are/were running a beta version of iOS6 it expired today and you will have to update the device to a more current version of the software.

My i-phone wont activate after a software update
I was given a phone in the UK and brought it to Egypt. In order to get it working with an Egyptian sim card it had to be unlocked. I wanted to add some apps but a number would not load saying the os was out of date. So I decided to update it as recommended. Now it has completely restored it back to factor settings which I wasn't expecting and didn't want. It does not recognise the sim card ITunes says there is no sim card in the phone and the phone itself keeps saying it could not be activated because the activation server is temporarily unavailable. So now the phone is completely stuck and useless. What can I do
If it was not unlocked by the carrier it was originally locked to, it was 'hacked' to unlock it.
ONLY the carrier it is lockd to can authorize unlocking it.
If it was hacked to unlock it, then upgraded to 5.1.1, it may very well be a brick now. -

Try restarting your router by removing power for 30 seconds and then restarting.
On your ipod Touch go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network settings.
Now attempt to connect.
If you still have problems please give the make/model/version of your router. -

You contact the carrier it's locked to and see if they will unlock it for you. Activation problems are almost always due to the fact that the phone was hacked to unlock it instead of being legitimately unlocked.
Of course, this can also happen if you're trying to activate it without a SIM in it. You can not activate the phone without a SIM. -
3gs wont activate after latest update
My Iphone wont activate after the latest update was installed, even when connected to Itunes it just say disconnect and install sim card, even though there is a working sim in the phone, any help would be gratfull.

99.9% of the time, the cause of this issue is the fact the phone was jailbroken/hacked to unlock it for use on networks other than the network the phone was originally locked to. Apple maintains a database of officially unlocked iPhones, and when Apple's servers detect phones such as yours, activation stops & you get the message you got.
So, you need to get a sim card from the carrier the phone was originally locked to, or get it officially unlocked, if you want to activate it. Because it appears that it was not officially unlocked. -

If it says your billing info is wrong that means that your credit card issuer is refusing to approve your account. You will have to solve the problem with your bank or credit card company.

Hi, I'm having the same problem as crystalfromsaline.
The handset advised me to upgrade 5.0.1 so I did and now it wont sync to my mac?? It's detected in iPhoto but not as all in iTunes. The handset still works fine.
I'm currently using Snow Leopard 10.6.3 and have the latest version of itunes.
Hope this is enough info, any help you could offer would be much appreciated. -
After installing the new software to my iPhone 4S , my dream zoo either will not start or when it does it has a blank screen that has a few icons on it that wont work. How can I fix this is it possible to go back and reinstall the older software ?
Unfortunately I tried that and it didn't work. Thanks for the help though. I tried to uninstall and it said I couldn't because the file is corrupt or something, but I think I finally got it uninstalled and/or deleted or whatever, but now I try to reinstall/download it again from the beginning and I can't. No matter what I do I can not get Firefox working again. No matter how many times I try to redownload it. Any other suggestions?
