HT1923 HI...trying to uninstall iTunes components, but get the error that another program is trying to install..wait until it's finished then try to install. Install? I clicked UNinstall! Nothing is installing!?!?!?! HELP!

Getting Runtime Error 6034. When I attepmt ot follow the suggetions to rectify this issue, I get the erroe message that anothe program is tryin to install. Wait until it's finish and try install again. 'Install'????? I clicked UNinstall!!! How can I find if something is trying to install? I am not installing anything. HELP!!!! PLEASE!!!!

Restart the PC. Can you complete the uninstalls now, or do you still get the message?

I went to the troubleshooting page and did all of the steps they listed: uninstalled iTunes, deleted by Temp files, even disabled AVG while I downloaded again and tried to install. I have been trying to install the new iTunes, and i get an error that a program could not be run.
I have an old version of iTunes and require the new version to connect my IPod. A program can not be run and the installation stops. I have no idea what program or what is required to run it. Please Help.
That would be my first guess. You might be trying to install the 32 bit version of the program.
Update the thread with more info on your apple software etc if its a 64 bit install you're trying to perform. -
I am trying to install xcode on a macpro running OSX 10.6.8 . It installs, but with the error that there is no unix support. Do I have to upgrade to Lion 10.7 to do this? And if so, is this a free upgrade if I have the extended 3 yr support?

PandabigXcode 4.x cannot be installed on Snow Leopard. You need a 3.x. So if that is what you used then yes, you need to install lion. If connect.apple.com still alows registration or logins using an existing appleid then you could download the last xcode 3.2.6 for free.

Trying to update iTunes and I get the error - "errors occured while installing the updates. If the problem persists, choose Tools > Download only and try installing manually". Currently on version 10.5.3.3 trying to update to 11.0.2 on a Windows 7 64-bit.
Try updating your iTunes using an iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64Setup.exe) installer file downloaded from the Apple website:

when trying to sync my iphone in itunes i keep getting the error message "itunes cannot sync apps because the apps installed on the iphone could not be determined." can anyone explain what this means?
I received the same error message after I had recently updated iTunes to 10.5.1 and I had wirelessly updated 13 apps. I had to go into iTunes and select Apps, on the bottom right it said I needed to update 13 apps. I updated the apps via iTunes and then synced again without an issue.

I'm trying to use "Sync My Itunes" to use my Ipod Touch in my 2011 Ford Escape. I keep getting an index is full and all songs may not play message. When I use the "Sync My Itunes" I always get the message that Itunes is busy and to try again later. How do I get this to work? I can't reset my Ipod without losing all my 4,000+ tunes. Help!
The "Show iTunes in the Cloud Purchases" solution did not work for me, but this did:
In your iTunes library, make sure the "iCloud Download" column is showing (looks like a little cloud icon). Check for any songs that have a light gray cloud icon. Do whatever you need to do to make this icon disappear for that song (get iTunes to make sure it's downloaded onto your machine, or delete the song). Run Sync My iTunes again and it should finish.
Notes:
- Plugging in your iPhone/iPod might cause these songs to get copied back into your library, and you'll have to do this again.
- I didn't start having this problem until I bought Match
How I discovered this:
I noticed that it stopped every time at song #1242 in my library, so I ran "Sync My iTunes (Debug)" to see which song it stopped on. Then I went back to my library, found the song, and noticed it had the light gray cloud icon. It also had a local copy of the song already. I think iTunes gets confused sometimes and forgets that it downloaded a song from your cloud library, then tries to download it again even though it's already on your computer. Then it realizes the file's already there, and doesn't download it. However, it leaves it in your library flagged as an incomplete download. Sync My iTunes triggers iTunes to attempt download, which then makes it look like iTunes is busy. My theory at least... -
Like it says: Reader doesn't install on my Win 7 64 bit system. HD and install are both fresh but get an error that there is previous information?? concerning an install.

Hi, I hope some one can help as I updated my version of iTunes and now get the error "The program can't start because MSVCR80.dll is missing from your computer". I understand that I need to delete and reinstall iTunes but all of my music has been uploaded from CD's and I'd like to know if these are safe if I delete iTunes of if they too will be deleted. I have over 1300 songs so this is a big question for me. Many thanks.
Under normal circumstances, an uninstall/reinstall doesn't touch your content. (That being said, it's still always a good idea to maintain a current backup at all times in case of disasters of any sort.)
First try updating to iTunes 11.1.5.5, using an installer downloaded from the Apple website:

If you end up having to remove and reinstall iTunes and AMDS, make sure to follow the steps closely, including the order in which you uninstall.

System requirements for XCode is 10.8.4 and above. Since you have 10.7.5 it can't be installed. -
