My computer crashed and I lost everything. I got a new one and downloaded itunes all over again. When I plug my ipad in even after authorising my computer it will still not let me edit anything on the ipad. The screen is grey like on the ipad section and i cant select an app or anything. I have transfered purchase apps but all it does is take movies and tv shows accross. It wont transfer the apps into itunes. Please help
As far as I know, iTunes will still not change anything until you click on Apply in the lower right corner. I fiddle with my settings all the time - just so I can get a sense if what to expect should I make any changes - and I have never seen anything happen to my configuration unless I click on Apply in the lower right corner of iTunes. Not only that - you have turned off auto sync so as far as I know you still have to click on sync or apply in order for the iPad to sync with iTunes.
That doesn't mean it will not happen, I've never seen it happen - is all that I'm saying. I'm sorry but I'm not sure what will happen, but the only reason that I can of why the apps will not transfer is because of the manual manage setting. I could be wrong about that as well.
Look at this discussion - which I have referred quite a few users to read. I know this process has worked for a number of people that have read it and used the instructions in it. Maybe we are missing something - what that would be - I'm not quite sure, but take a look.

I rented a movie directly from Apple TV. I finished downloading successfully, however, I didn't start watching it right away. Now, a day after, I want to watch it, but ATV tells me I have to start the downloading process all over again. WHY? I thought after sucessfully downloading the movie to ATV, it would be available for 30 days in my ATV, without having to download again. To my surprise, it tells me I have to download all over again. It took me 3 hours to download the movie, now I have to repeat the process? Can someone tell me why? Thanks.
Welcome to the Apple Community.
The Apple TV will delete content if it is used to plat something else or is turned off. It only has a limited amount of volatile memory.
If you want to download something for watching at a later time, it would be best doing it from iTunes on your mac/PC and streaming it to the Apple TV when you are ready to watch it. -
My Iphone was sync with Itunes on a computer then this computer broke down and i purchased another one. I was able to extract all the data from the old one. now how can i sync my phone with the new tunes without loosing any data?

Quick answer if you use iTunes' default preferences settings: Copy the entire iTunes folder (and in doing so all its subfolders and files) intact to the other drive. Open iTunes and immediately hold down the Option (alt) key (shift on Windows), then guide it to the new location of the library.

With a new modem do I have to set it up all over again?
I just moved home from college. I set the AirPort Express up while I was down there using a modem down there. I plugged in my AirPort Express at home and plugged in the ethernet cable from my home modem to my AirPort Express and it is not working. My question is, do I have to set up the AirPort Express all over again on my MacBook? It is the same MacBook by the way. Also, if this is the case, and I have to re-install the set up software, what do I do if I have lost the software? I hope I'm not screwed. Thanks.
Are the two modems of the same type, e.g. cable modem or DSL? What was connected to that home modem before you tried to connect the AirPort Express to it? Did you reset the home modem, perhaps by unplugging it for a few minutes, when you switched devices?
The AirPort Utility program that you used to configure the AirPort Express should still be installed on your Mac unless you deleted it. If you did that (why?), you can download it from Apple's Web site. -
how can i sync my iPod with new iTunes on new computer without losing my old library? There is no backup iTunes/iPod files available.
If you connect your ipod to your computer then look in the hidden folder labeled "iPod_Control" . (This is on a Mac version, but i think it's the same for Windows) and in "Music" is all your music mixed up in different folders. Just drag the MUSIC folder onto itunes then BAM! It's done ;D

Duplicate the book first. Then change the theme on the Duplicate. If the text is lost - it shouldn't be - then you can go back.

Please help. My daughter forgot her passcode and her apple id so we reset the ipod as per instructed I got her a new apple id. and now she can not redownload any of her apps. It says that she needs a 4.3 and she only has a 4.2.1. We are trying to download the same apps she had before and it won't allow it. I can not seem to get the 4.3. We are unable to download anything. Any help would be appreciated.
I was told it was a 3rd generation at purchase but when checking online it sometimes shows 3 and sometimes 2. I am totally confused and just want her to be able to use the device. App Store: Install the latest compatible version of an app
You first have to download the non-compatible version on your computer. Then when you try to purchase the version on your iPod you will be offered a compatible version if one exists. -
My iPad shows an old Apple ID and won't let me sign in, what do I have to do?
My old Apple ID was an email no longer available. Now I can't change my new Apple ID in my iPad or in my iPhone I don't know what to do since I changed my password as well. Please help.
To change the iCloud ID you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password for the old ID when prompted to turn off Find My iDevice, then sign back in with the ID you wish to use. If you don't know the password for your old ID, or if it isn't accepted, and if your old ID is an earlier version of your current ID, go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iDevice on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll. When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was. Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

I have tried several times to convert an old Adobe PDF, that I created several years ago, using Export PDF to no avail. I have tried several times to contact Adobe to no avail. I need to convert this file to Word, so I can update it. How do I do it? Please send answer to [email protected], I don't have time nor the patientce anymore to wait around on some one to answer on a forum.I have sent you several e mails through your system and never heard a word from anyone. I am very frustrated, because you always had good products. But, now when I have a problem, it is nearly impossible to get help.
I can't tell you what the problem is, when I load the file, it thinks for a minute, and then tells me Conversion Failure. Here's a link to the file.

Itunes 11.0.2.26 update done, now I can't sync my iPad 3 or iPhone 5 over Wifi
I just updated to iTunes 11.0.2.26. I have an iPad 3 (iOS 6.1 (10B141)) and it displays "To enable Wi-Fi syncing with iTunes, connect to iTunes on your computer using a cable and click "Sync with this iPad over Wi-Fi". But the box to "sync over Wi-Fi" is already selected.
I also have an iPhone 5 (iOS 6.1 (10B143)) and it shows the "Sync Now" tab, but I am not able to tap on it because it's not active (the text is grey and not activated).
I can still sync both devices with their cable, but not over Wi-Fi.You will need to purchase the upgrade CD for 10.6 from the Apple Online store, OR you can likely get one at an Apple Retail Store. It is the last version that was available on CD. After 10.6, the upgrades are available in the Mac App Store.

The backup that iTunes makes does not include synced media like apps and music.
As others have said
Your only way is if you have the version that was compatible on your computer such as in the recycle bin/trash or in a computer file backup. In that case delete the current version that is in your iTunes App library and replace it with the older version. Then sync.

Sounds like you have the Restrictions set that prevents changing accounts. You need to unset it. Go to Settings>General>Restrictions.
