HT201269 I backed my old iphone 5 up to the cloud but my apps/music/photos are not on my new phone?
I have backed up my iphone 5 on the cloud and all my apps/music/mail is not on my new iphone 5s?
Email is not included with the backup, and the same for the actual apps and music. A record of the apps and music is included which must be re-downloaded again which takes time depending on how many apps and music and the type of internet connection at the time.
Are all apps and music in your iTunes library on your computer? If so, transferring the content from there via the iTunes sync process will be faster.

my iPod touch needs to be restored. however, all of my movies/apps/songs/photos are not backed up on my computer because the shop on my computer does not work. can i still get the memory on my iPod touch 32gb back?
If you weren't able to sync the purchases to a computer previously and now your iPod needs to be restored so you can't sync it now, then you may be out of luck and will need to purchase your content again. Officially Apple does not allow redownloads of purchased items other than iPhone/iPod touch applications and iBooks. The official statement of their policy can be found here, among other places.
You can try contacting iTunes Store Customer Service (select the "Music Purchases" or "Video Purchases" category, as appropriate, then "Lost or Missing Items". You'll find either an "Express Lane" button - just follow the instructions to get to the contact form - or an "Email Us" button) ") and explaining what happened. Reportedly in some cases Apple has allowed redownloading on a one-time basis. But don't count on it.
Good luck. -
My iPhone has 34%of the power, but when I take photoes it will power off by itself!
First, update iTunes, then connect the phone to the computer and do a restore. This will also get your iOS up to date. Your phone should operate correctly after doing this, if not, you will most likely need to have the phone serviced or replaced.

Can I have my iPhone upload pictures to the cloud but disable downloading from it?
Like the question states:
Is there any way of enabling uploading of pictures from my iphone to the cloud but disable downloading of pictures?
I just transferred over 2500 pictures from my SLR and would really like to not have these download to my phone. I just disabled icloud on my phone as its been downloading these pictures for the last hour or so...
Thanks,
Raf.Welcome to the Apple community.
If you are referring to photo stream, then no, you cannot just have it upload photos but not download them.
In reference to your last point, photo stream cannot hold 2,500 photos, it is limited to 1,000 photos, and then only for 30 days. -
Old version of iTunes on laptop won't transfer music to my new iPhone.
Your profile shows you are running Lion (10.7.5). If this is the case, you certainly can sync with a new iPhone. If you are not running Lion, you will need to upgrade to at least Snow Leopard (10.6.8). See below to purchase.

HT201317 my photo stream photos are not on my new iphone
I have just been given a new iPhone 5 as my old one had some issues... I ensured that all of my pictures were in my photo stream so that I could automatically bring them onto my new replacement iPhone. I have attempted to look for these however and I can see that none of them have been brought forwards... I am very upset at this as there are alot of photographs which will not be able to be replaced and are of some very personal things. I would genuinely like a way to abtain them from the photostream without having to purchase the new version of iPhoto on my iMac.
Could you please get back to me with a resolution as soon as possible?
thanks
GaryPhotostream in the cloud only keeps photos from the last 30 days (subject to a 1,000 photo limit). When photostream syncs the photos to your device they will stay there until deleted, which means you may well have more photos in your photostream album on your device than there are in photostream in the cloud.

Backed up iPhone to iTunes on our computer then started the software update. Got an error notice and phone now has a screen indicating to plug in to iTunes that we can't change even if we turn the phone off and back on. Every attempt to connect to the iPhone software update server comes back with a could not contact message. What do we do? How do we proceed?
Many thanks for your answer.
Before starting a new discussion I tried everything of your link, google etc... nothing works for me.
I´m using a pc running windows 8, last version of itunes etc.. tried using different usb ports, uninstalling avast antivirus but nothing works.
Any other suggestion? -
Can I get my ring tones on my new iPhone if I already paid for them
Did you try the one working module in both ram slots? If it worked in both slots then the other module is faulty. If the known good module didn't work in both slots then try the other module in both slots. By a process of trial and error you'll be able to determine if you've just got a bad module or a failed ram slot.

iOS: Import personal photos and videos from iOS devices to your computer
If auto play doesn't work on your computer then either fix it, or just manually navigate out to your iphone on the hard drive.
If you don't know how to do the above steps use google. -
I lost my iphone in the water I bought a new one 4S now I have 2 back ups in Icloud, the one for the new Iphne and the old Iphone where I have the most info I need. How I can download my old backup?
Welcome to the Apple community.
You cannot download a backup from iCloud, the only way to access it is to restore to the backup with your new phone, which you should have done when you first connected it. If you restore now, you will lose all the new information you have added to your new phone. -
Can I view contacts backed up to the iCloud from my old iPhone without actually restoring the data on a new device?
If you have a backup, yes, You can restore the new device from the old backup. Without a backup, no.
Without a backup, and without the device, you no longer have any of your data to put on anything anymore.
You can redownload purchased content from the iTunes and App stores - just use the same AppleID as you did with the old device. -
I backed my old iphone up to my computer and bought a new iphone. When i backed my new phone up I now I have an icloud photo (from my computer) album that I want to delete from my phone but I do not have the option. Please help.
If the album was synced to your phone from your computer, it can only be removed by sycing it off. To do this, deselect the folder on the Photos tab of your iTunes sync settings and sync.

I was updating my iphone, but my computer shut down half way through restoring my old settings. When I turned my computer back on, i tried to continue with the restore but the original backup i was trying to use wasn't there anymore, it had been replaced.
Try resetting the SMC.
MacBook and MacBook Pro with a battery you can remove
Shut down the computer.
Disconnect the MagSafe power adapter from the computer, if it's connected.
Remove the battery.
Press and hold the power button for 5 seconds.
Release the power button.
Reconnect the battery and MagSafe power adapter.
Press the power button to turn on the computer
To reset the SMC on newer Mac portables with a battery you cannot remove
Shut down the computer.
Plug in the MagSafe power adapter to a power source, connecting it to the Mac if its not already connected.
On the built-in keyboard, press the (left side) Shift-Control-Option keys and the power button at the same time.
Release all the keys and the power button at the same time.
Press the power button to turn on the computer.
Note: The LED on the MagSafe power adapter may change states or temporarily turn off when you reset the SMC. -
I would like to ask about an offer regards to iPhone 5 where I can get an iPhone 5 if I bring back my old iPhone 4 +200 US $ . Is that true ?
Since you don't provide any useful information, like who is making this offer, where, etc. we can't say.
My gut, though says that the answer is either: No.
Or.
You have misunderstood something, since in the US, you can get an iPhone 5 for $200 (or less) by signing a 2 year contract with one of the major carriers here. The price is subsidised by the carrier in exchange for contracting for service with them.

An odd "kind" problem with some m4a files
I have 610 m4a files that iTunes thinks are mpeg-4 video files, while the Finder clearly shows that they're audio files. I only discovered this recently when I got my first video iPod, and went to sync my usual playlist of songs. In the first moments

I can't open idml file exported from CS6 in Indesign 4 or 6.
I created an InDesign document in CS6 and saved it as an idml file to be able open it on another machine with CS4. Unfortunately I did not save a copy in indd copy in 6. I get a message "Adobe may not support this format, a plug in might be missing."
