Why was my Gifted App charged to my Card instead of iTunes Store credit balance?
I purchased 2 apps.
One for myself which was billed to existing iTunes account Credit, and the second one (same app) was gifted to my girlfriend, but that was billed to my card, even though there was plenty of funds left on iTunes store credit.
Why?

You cannot use your balance for gifting content, that can only be used for buying items for yourself - your credit card will be charged for any gifting that you do

I bought an ipad and smart case, and with the purchase got a 50 dollar apple store gift card. I was wondering if i could use that to buy itunes gift cards? Preferrably just do it online and get the codes emailed, but if i had to i would go to the apple store and just use the card to buy the itunes cards there. Apple stores, including online, won't let you buy iTunes gift cards with an Apple Store gift card - it can only be used to buy hardware/software from the store. Other stores might let you do so, or you could try selling the card

You've checked the purchase history on your account via your computer's iTunes : log into your account on your computer's iTunes via the Store > View Account menu option, you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it. Click on that and you should then see a list of your purchases.

If nothing shows on your iTunes purchase history (you don't have a Mac and have any purchases in the Mac App Store), and you only have the one account, then you should contact your card issuer.
If something does show on your history but you didn't buy it, and nobody else has access to your account or devices and made the purchase, then try the 'report a problem' page to contact iTunes Support : http://reportaproblem.apple.com

The incident is extremely annoying and I am dissapointed with Apple's services. With Apple being a fortune 500 company, why would it resort to ripping off a customer.

If you were instructed to call them, then that's what you should do. They will probably need to verify your identity before helping you with the security question.

In app purchase used debit card insted of itunes credit

So I had 15GBP in my itunes account. i spent 13.99 on gems on clash of clans. My debit card was used insted of my itunes credit and i have now have no money. I have not used any gems and is there any chance i could get a refund or a refund and the credit taken from my account.

When I tried to purchase the upgrade, Itunes wanted me to enter all my Credit Card info. Are you sure it won't be charged to my Card, because I have a credit on my Itunes account from Itunes gift cards?

Charged whilst changing my password in itunes store

Could somebody please clarify whether Apple charge whilst changing the apple id, itunes store password?
I changed my login password for the itunes store today, using my apple id and somewhere along the process, I received a request from apple asking me to validate my purchase, which I did. I then received an alert, from my card issuer, informing me that USD 1 was debited to my card via itunes store.
I immediately checked my purchases history and there were no purchases for USD 1 and neither are there any new apps downloaded, hence my query as to whether Apple charge everytime you either chage or rest your password. If not whom do i contact to refund my money?

You weren't charged.
Your credit card was validated for the new ID, similar to what happens when you're "charged" for a free download.

What happens when you try to buy a song, what messages/prompts do you see on the screen (gifting will require card details) ? If this is the first time that you've tried to buy something on the account, then unless the instructions on this page are followed when creating an account : Create an iTunes Store, App Store, or iBooks Store account without a credit card or other payment method - Apple Suppor…
then card details will need to be entered before the account can be used to download any item from the store.
Have you tried entering card details to see if it is charged for the purchase (you may see a temporary store holding charge go on the card which your card issuer should remove within a few days or so) ? You should be able to remove card details after entering them.

Have you actually selected them to be synced to your device from the iTunes sync settings.
