Apple needs to either tell me how to unlock it or ship me another iPhone 4 32gb.

If your phone is disabled from entering the wrong passcode too many times you'll have to restore it to remove the passcode, as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1212.

You cannot retrieve passcode if you forget.
The only way is to wipe iPhone through iCloud and then restore from backup.

I had the same issue. I tried everything unchecking / rechecking, formatting Iphone and restoring from backup etc etc.
In the end it was a simple issue which might of might not help you.
A number of months ago I relocated by Itunes folder to a NAS drive. It appears when I did the last I tunes update Itunes set the destination path of the Itunes media to the default location, the result was Itunes couldn't install music,apps, video until I set the correct destination path.
The bit that confused me was it was transferring some media. This was of course the media I had downloaded since the last Itunes update which had gone to the default location.
I hope that makes sense and is off some help.

No I cant do that as soon as I disconnect the usb plug it goes blank and when I connect it to my pc it doesn't light up so I assume it wont take a charge from my pc. 1. Force Quit .
    Press command + option + esc keys together at the same time. Wait.
    When Force Quit window appears, select the Safari if not already.
    Press Force Quit button at the bottom of the window.   Wait.
    Safari will quit.
    Relaunch Safari holding the shift key down.
2. Safari > Preferences > Extensions
    Turn those off and try Safari.
3. Safari > Preferences > Privacy > Cookies and other website data:
    Press “Remove all website data” button.
4. If adware is installed without your knowledge,
    download free AdwareMedic by clicking “Download ” from here
    http://www.adwaremedic.com
   Install , open, and run it by clicking “Scan for Adware” button   to remove adware.
   Once done scanning and removing the adware, quit the app by clicking AdMedic in the menubar

I have the same problem, and I also wondered if Google toolbar has anything to do with it. There GMAIL was set as the default mail application at first. I have removed that setting, but Firefox 4.0.1 continues to use GMAIL instead of Outlook which is my selection for mailto handling.

First, the restrictions would NEVER turn on by itself. And second, this is a passcode set up manually by the user. If you can't remember, the only way to remove this is restoring your iPhone to factory conditions using iTunes.

With which wireless provider in what country are you attempting to use it?
Locked sims are a function of the wireless provider - contact them.

Clearing a conversation is the same as deleting the messages, so unfortunately they're gone. You could always restore from a previous backup, but you would lose anything that you've added/changed etc on your phone between the last time you synced your phone and now.

That is what I said. Siri is only on the iPhone 4s, iPhone 5, iPod Touch 5th Generation and new iPad (3). They all have advanced noise reduction/voice recognition hardware that is not included in other models.

I was holding the phone while I was helping my sister get the dogs settled in the car and I must have been pressing onto the camera icon and I didn't even realise it until I looked down after a few minutes and the icon was gone. Go to settings, general - restrictions - camera....make sure it is turned on. I did the same thing with my camera icon and this step fixed it.
