HT204088 I have itunes transactions on my bank statement that are not mine. I want to speak to someone, but I keep being referred back to the website!

I have tried to use the freephone number, but just get referred back to the website. How do you get to speak to someone?

  • I have app updates for two other accounts that are not mine

How do I get rid of the updates as they obviously aren't mine.

Do a search in this forum for getting rid of pirated apps. Pirated apps are causing this issue for you.

I have several charges on my checking account statement that are not mine.

You've checked the purchase history on your iTunes account ? If you log into your account on your computer's iTunes via the Store > View Account menu option, you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it, click on that and you should then see a list of your purchases. On your iPad you can see the last 90 days purchases via http://reportaproblem.apple.com
If you don't recognise the charges, and nobody else has access to your account or devices and made them, then try contacting iTunes Support : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption

  • HT204088 I have purchases on my iTunes account that are not mine. Where could this be coming from?

I keep getting charged for purchases that are not mine. I don't know where they are coming from and I checked my childrens accounts. Where could they be coming from?

    Hello there duxmania,
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities!
I have a couple of recommendations for you here. First for the purchases that you did not authorize, I would reach out to the iTunes store support directly.
How to report an issue with your iTunes Store, App Store, Mac App Store, or iBooks Store purchase
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1933
Find the email receipt for your purchase.
Click Report a Problem under the app that is having the issue.
When prompted, enter the Apple ID and password you used to purchase the item, then click Report a Problem.
Click Report a Problem next to the item you are having an issue with.
From the Choose Problem dropdown menu, choose the appropriate issue.
Follow the onscreen instructions and—if prompted—type a description of the problem into the text field.
Click Submit to have your issue reviewed.
You may also want to change your Apple ID password.

    Hey Raffiecat,
Thanks for the question. If your iPod is setup to manually manage content, you can add content from multiple libraries:
Managing content manually on iPhone, iPad, and iPod
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1535
When manually managing content, you can add content from multiple libraries to your iPod or iPad. Even when manually managing music, some content may be available from only one library at time. This includes all content on iPhone and video content on iPod and iPad.
You can also learn which content you can import to your new computer from your iPod:
iTunes: Transferring media from your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or iPod

Or, if you still have access to the previous computer, you can transfer your iTunes Library:

  • HT202853 I have many project made in move HD that are not updating to the new iMovie 10 on my new iMac.  Why is this not working as stated?  How do I get my projects back from backup after old iMac crashed?

I have many projects made in imovie HD that are not updating to iMovie 10 on my new iMac.  Why is this not working as stated on the article HT202853?  How do I get my projects back from backup after old iMac crashed?

    According to:
Update projects and events from previous versions of iMovie in iMovie (2014) - Apple Support
you can update from iMovie versions 7, 8 and 9, but iMovie HD is iMovie 6.
Maybe you can update in two steps, first from iMovie 6 to iMovie 7, 8 or 9 then to iMovie 10.
    Geoff.

  • I can't purchase anything even though I redeemed an iTunes card for $15. Apple is asking to verify my credit card info, and also for answers to security codes that are not mine.

Okay so I just got an iPhone 5. My first iPhone. In the past I've had two different iPods, an iPod Touch 3rd Generation, and an iPad 2.
I only have 87 cents in my bank account so I paid cash for a $15 iTunes card so I could get some applications on my new iPhone 5. I realize that iTunes won't let me download updates or buy new applications when my bank account has a low or insufficient balance, so it will ask to verify the code on the back of the card. After entering the code, it says to please enter valid information. The information is valid, but won't be accepted because it has a low balance.
I tried selecting "None" as my payment options to see if that would allow me to make purchases using the $15 balance I just redeemed from the iTunes card. It doesn't seem to help the situation.
I went to contact Apple, but I had to schedule a call (this is the first time I've ever had to contact support for a problem - ever). I also sent in an email hoping I would get a response sooner. I want to play with my phone now, not in a few days when they can finally call me back...
While trying to figure out a solution to this, I ran into a couple of security questions that aren't even mine... They can't be because I don't have an answer for them. These security codes are not mine. I tried putting in an answer and it didn't work - obviously, because the questions don't apply to me. What the heck is going on Apple? I've never had so much trouble with your services before.
I'm not very happy right now.

Look, I understand I still need a card attached to the account. The problem is, it won't accept my card because I only have 87 cents in my bank account right now.
If I had known there would be so much trouble with the iTunes card, I would have just put the cash in my bank account in the morning instead of buying an iTunes card (I didn't expect the banks to be open on Thanksgiving of course).
Apple will only accept cards that have a balance. The balance is so small in my account that it won't accept it as a valid card.
I'm going to have to contact Apple anyway to reset the security questions. That's obvious. Your answers were not exactly helpful. You didn't tell me anything I don't already know, but thanks for trying to be helpful.

  • Why do I have extra songs in my iPhone playlist that are not on my iTunes library?

After doing the iOS7 update (and iOS7.0.2) I decided to add my music to my phone (I never had music on it before).
I discovered that there were 20 very random and obscure broadway songs that were on my iPhone in addition to the 60 songs I just synced. They had the iCloud icon by them, unlike the songs I had just added.
After doing research I found that the broadway songs were technically "purchased" on iTunes although they are not songs I would have ever purchased- in fact I have never once purchased anything on iTunes.  This isn't my worry though, I am assuming it must have been some random free download I did at some point?
I went to settings > music > and turned show all music off.  This did NOT work for all of them and only solved the problem 80%.  There are still 4 of the random song on my iPhone. They DO NOT show up in my iTunes library on my computer and don't even exist on my computer.
With the other songs I can left swip and delete but these 4 songs won't!  Why won't these four songs left swipe?
I am going crazy and have tried restarting my phone, restarting iTunes, re-syncing, turning off the iCloud.  NOTHING WORKS.
Please help.  I am a normally a very smart and tech-savvy person and I cannot for the life of me figure this out.  I don't want to wipe everything- which as a solution is a pretty weak solution.
Why won't certain songs left swipe to delete off my phone when I am in the music app?
Why do I have extra songs on my phone that don't appear on iTunes on my computer?
Where did these songs come from and how do I get rid of them?
    Much thanks!

I had the exact same issue!! Seriously p*ssed me off when I checked out my ITunes purchased items (via my computer) and noticed that most of the additional tracks listed on my IPhone playlist was listed there too. However, I never authorized any purchases!!  (I have actually written Apple Support asking for a full refund of all tracks listed on my purchased list)
Be careful when you swipe your finger to the left/right on those "additional" tracks on your IPhone playlist... I'm pretty sure that the cloud symbol is an option to download or automatically buy those tracks.
    Solution for the problem:
1 - go to your IPhone settings
    2 - choose "iTunes & App Store"
3 - go to "Show All" & "Music"
4 - turn off "Music" by moving the bar to the left (it should be a white color once you turn it off)
    Should solve your problem :~)

  • Charges from itunes store that are not mine

WARNING to all you itunes  users out there!! . I woke up this morning to several fraudulent charges charged to me by itunes All were in Chinese!!! Trying to resolve these, I discovered the ONLY way to contact itunes is via email----- and it appears that  itunes has no FRAUD division,  It looks like the only way to fight fraudulent charges is through your credit card, paypal or whatever form of paymeent you use. It is amazing to me what suckers we are, In order to use an iphone, ipod or ipad, apple requires us to have an itunes account . they willingly take our money for purchases but have absolutely no viable support system in place for us if things go wrong. Surely, apple is doing well enough financially to afford us a liittle support!!  Please let me know if I am wrong and if there is a fraud division for iuines that has a phone number I can call! Thsi may noyt be big to itines buit it is to me!! I am a single mom and  now have no money in my bank account which means no gas to get ny kids to school ., etc, etc thanks!!

You credit card company would handle any reimbursement.
Change your password so that your account canot be accessed again.

  • I'm trying to restore a new ipod but it keeps asking me for the passwords of itunes accounts that are not mine.

It is trying to restore my new ipod from the backup cloud, but it keeps asking me for the passwords of three different itunes accounts, two i know are my friends accounts and I don;t even know whoose the third is.  I must have some of their music on my library or something, but it won't backup without these passwords it seems.  Is there a way to get around this?  I have the music in my Itunes library and can listen to it all I want and burn it on cds but I cant get it to go on my ipod without their passwords.  Can i switch it and just have it sync to my computer and not this icloud?  My other ipod didnt ask me for these passwords when I tried to sync it.

If you have music that was purchased on different iTunes accounts than the one you use, then you must provide the password, otherwise the tunes are not considered yours.  You can turn off iCloud and just use the usual USB sync method.  But I wonder whether you'll have the same problem?

  • Itunes has 111 albums that are not mine...

My main computer (i.e. where all of the physical files are) is Windows 7.  I've turned on home sharing on that computer.
Downstairs is a Macbook Air.  When opening up iTunes there, it doesn't see my library (it's always been iffy at best), but it's showing me 115 albums on my Macbook.  In my entire life I've probably purchased 4 or 5 albums max from iTunes.  In browsing through the other 111, these are albums I've never seen, never owned, and for the most part would never listen to.  They are not physically on the Macbook or any other computer in the house.
I tried to reauthorize the Macbook in iTunes (even though it does show my Apple ID) but it just locks up.

To clarify, how many computers do you have ?
Windows 7, MacBook and MacBook Air?

    Sharing or Home Sharing?

So you’re on your MacBook Air and you open iTunes on it and view the Home Shared library of the MacBook?
Do any of these songs play?
There’s no “fixup” to the AppleID you need to worry about.

  • HT204088 My daughters have Itunes accounts that are connected to my credit card.  I continue to have charges, but both daughters insist that are not downloading.  How can I find out which account is being billed on my credit card?

I am trying to find out which one of my daughters is buying music through I tunes and is posting to my credit card.  How can I find this out.  I have the transaction numbers from my credit card.

If they have separate iTunes accounts then you can check each account on your computer's iTunes : log into an account on your computer's iTunes via the Store > View Account menu option, and you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it. Click on that and you should then see a list of its purchases.
If they share the same account then you can't tell, the purchase history doesn't show the device or computer that a purchase was made on.

  • HT204088 Charges have come up on my bank statement, i have no computer just an ipad, how can i find out what these charges are for?

I dont know how to find out where the charges have come from?
    Any thoughts?

The only way that I know of for viewing your purchase history is on a computer's iTunes (via the Store > View Account menu option), though you should be able to see (and manage) if you have any auto-renewing subscriptions : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4098
For things such as apps, music etc you should have received email receipts from the store.
