You can only use the US store if you have a valid billing address in US and you are in the US when purchasing.

Sorry, but you are not allowed to use any other country's iTunes Store unless you physically in that country. If the apps you want are not available in the App Store for your country, you will have to wait until such time as they do become available. You can contact the developers of the apps and urge them to release in your country, but there may be legal or copyright reasons why a given app may not be available where you live.

Purchases or rentals (as applicable) from the iTunes Store are available to you only in the United States, its territories, and possessions, and are not available in any other location. You agree not to use or attempt to use the iTunes Store from outside of the available territory. Apple may use technologies to verify such compliance.
Does it mean I'm not able to make itunes purchases/rentals while being on vacation or for
other reasons outside of US using US billing/mailing addresses and US credit cards?

- download all purchased content
- ensure you have no current rentals(if you do, you'll have to wait for them to expire)

I've recently moved from Ireland to the Uk. Unblocked my phone changed supplier etc and all is fine. However when trying to change my iTunes account from Ireland to uk it keeps defaulting the address to Ireland - regardless if I input my uk address.

i followed your link on how to delete content from all things Apple, and nothing removes books, movies, music... it just gives said device(s) the iCloud/download icon on top of the book, movie... not sure what the 'hide' purchase actually does - after X'ing/hide, everything STILL appears across all devices using that account. could you clarify this any further?
if i am understanding iTunes correctly, then EVERYTHING we download (free or purchased) will be FOREVER accessible with zero way for us to control what is filling up this mysterious vault called the cloud? (creepy- apple is keeping EVERYTHING, what happens when the cloud gets full?)
