HT2731 New iOS causing apps problem

When I'm upload updates for apps I keep getting a message about another country I was in 2 years ago use that countries I have changes my address to the new country I'm in and since the new iOS was downloaded there was no problem . How do I correct this situation? At the moment I cannot download any apps!!!

True. I've noticed magazines now appear in the App Store along with all the other Apps. I think it would have been better if Apple made Newsstand more like Zinio i.e. an App where you can search for, read & download magazines. Seems a bit if a cop-out to just lump it in with all the other Apps, especially when trying to search for titles. For example I was looking for a photography magazine. If you do a search for 'photography' you get a load of photography Apps come up. Scroll through half a dozen pages & you might stumble across a photography magazine ..... but not the one you are after. In Zino you can browse magazines by category > photography and find what you are looking for in no time. If I could delete Newsstand (as well as about 6 of the other useless iOS Apps that can't be removed ) I would.

Where is the "show all" link in the new IOS 7 App Store, when viewing all apps of a developer?

Hi,
it seems that I found another problem with the new IOS 7. I like the program "AppTicker" which tells me about free programs. I used to open a program, then go to releated and then look at all the programs of the developer. There was one line for iPad apps and one line for iPhone apps. If the developer had many apps, there was also a link called "show all", which showed alls iPad or iPhone apps of the developer.
Where is that link, please??
The reason, why this link is so important: Take i.e. Disney which has a promotion and half there products are free. I went on show all and in a second bought all free programs, before installing deleted them from the iPad and they were stored in my iCloud. Even if I alread had a few programs from Disney, I saw the iCould symbol, telling me, that I already bought that program.
Now it seems, I have to open one by one to see if I already bought the program or not. That is a major step back and if I don't find a solution a reason to go back to IOS 6, if that is possible.

Sorry to hear you lost that.
In the Library dialog, there is a section for tags. You can open that using either:
* Command+Shift+b
* Bookmarks > Show All Bookmarks
To create something like that on your Bookmarks menu or Bookmarks toolbar, you need to create a "smart" bookmark folder. The nice feature is that it breaks out your "all tags" by the tag, so there's less scanning through the list.
(1) Select and copy this places query:
place:type=6&sort=1
(2) In the Library dialog, create a new bookmark on the Bookmarks Menu or Bookmarks Toolbar. Click the relevant location, then either:
* right-click > New Bookmark
* Organize menu > New Bookmark
(3) In the Name, enter a query description such as Alpha Tags
(4) In the Location, paste the places query
(5) Click Add.
(6) If you get a dotted rectangle instead of a blue folder icon: drag the new bookmark to another location, e.g, a folder, the Bookmarks Toolbar, etc., within the Library dialog. This forces Firefox to recognize it as a query-type bookmark. The icon should change from the dotted rectangle to the blue search folder icon. Then you can drag it back to your preferred location.
After that, it should work from your Bookmarks menu or Bookmarks toolbar (wherever it ended up) just like the Tags section of the Library dialog.

New IOS causing weird email issues. Also trying to figure out why mail taking so much room?

Two part question. :I have been trying to figure out what is causing the large amount of "other" in my Iphone memory which has essentially wiped out my 16gb 4s.
After a lot of hunting around, it looks like 6.2 gb is just in my email settings, which seems very high. I do save emails for awhile on the phone, but periodically clean it out and never have had this issue until quite recently. Usually I didn't even notice the "other" part of my memory when syncing.
Second issue--as part of my process, I downloaded the latest IOS (7.0.3) and after I did that, it shows I have 483 "flagged" emails in my mail folder.
I actually have 31. Any idea what could be causing this? Before I downloaded the new IOS, this # was always acccurate, but now this # is way off. Wondering if there could be any tie in to the memory issue?
Also, trying to figure out how to manage the email down to a # that won't take up so much of my memory. Again, it seems like just in the past month my "other" category started to grow, but my email usage and # I save hasn't changed drastically so not sure why it is growing so rapidly.
I have downloaded iexplorer, but can't figure out how to view any possible duplicate emails or issues there? Haven't tried a restore, if I restore will I lose all of the emails on the phone.
Any ideas?

As additional info, when I delete an item from flagged folder, it still shows 483 items aa flagged. Very strange.
Before I downloaded the new IOS, if I deleted a "flagged" item, it reduced the # accordingly.

Oss-old version + new update causes MAJOR problems....................

if ur experiencing quitting apps, probs w/ itunes7, etc, and u have oss (ANY version), get rid of it immediately.........
the new updated version is even worse than the original.....
goto the uninstaller or delete it with appzapper (if u can get it to stay open...)

I have done that, several times.
So this is where I'm at now - last night, immediately after finishing a movie that was on my WD hard drive, which holds all of my media, music, movies - I restarted my computer and then it would not read the drive. It said it was unreadable.
I brought the Mac and the drive into an apple store today - they said basically it was my hard drive causing the issues. I used my iPod classic as my media back up as the 160 gb could hold all my stuff. Well, as I mentioned previously, that can't sync and I restored it, with no success. So in essence I lost my media drive and the back up. Tough to swallow, I'm angry, I think it's still mountain lion causing the drive to fail.
So I resolved to go home and restore my computer to one of my time machine back ups and do a Snow Leopard reinstall. Well, the moment I returned from the apple store, the time machine drive is now listed as unreadable. I called support, spent hours with them - I now have two drives which fried within 10 hours of each other in the same error. The senior support manager agreed it sounds like mountain lion is indeed corrupting my drives somehow. My iMac currently won't start into the recovery disk. So I went out spent $200 to get a new hard drive, which I am now backing up my data onto with a new Time machine.
In the last week, I've lost my iPod classic, iPhone 4, two external hard drives and now possibly even the Mac itself. I'm going to install snow leopard and see if it alleviates any of my issues, or hopefully can read my drives. I truly believe Mountain Lion is the problem.

Ios itunes app problem

So I updated my Iphone 4s to IOS 7 and now when i open itunes app there is just white screen and nothing else shows up. can somebody tell my whats the problem ? Thanks

Aperture with new iOS iPhoto App

Is there any reason to get the new iPhoto application if using Aperture on my mac? Does it offer any viewing advantages on iPad/iPhone over the standard photos app? Can you even sync from Aperture to it? Grateful for any experiences.

Ok, just a sec, I have to take back what I said. I just got to thinking about the various possibilities, and some of what I said was wrong. So I made a few tests.
It seems that Photostream actually does have RAW support, but only in one direction. If a RAW file is imported to a Mac, via iPhoto or Aperture, the it's placed into Photostream as RAW. Any other Macs with Photostream turned on will receive the RAW file, while iOS devices will see a reduced size jpeg in the Photostream. The interesting thing that I didn't expect is that the same thing happens with RAW files imported to an iPad via the CCK. RAW is imported to the library, placed in Photostream, and Macs get the RAW, while iOS devices get reduced jpegs.
Edits made to RAW photos in iPhoto for iOS and saved to the camera roll appear as jpegs everywhere in the Photostream, however. So depending on your workflow, let's say you import RAW files to your iPad, make edits in iPhoto (or any other app) and save back to the camera roll. You'll be able to open Aperture and see BOTH the Original RAW and the edited jpeg in the Photostream.
Again, this is more a feature of Photostream which can be taken advantage of in Aperture. It doesn't matter what iOS editor you use.

All I can say is buyer beware. Lkely you purchased a stolen iPod. The Activation Lock is doing its job.

New ios 7 have problem with news stand, I cannot grab the news stand to get back home as usual gesture.

Usually when I want to get back to home, I just grab it with 5 fingers and its going home, but it doesn't happen when it comes to news stand. Can anyone fix it?

hi, I,ve also isues with Newstand........when I open it whatever I do I cannot get back to my app home page page.......double clicking the home button does not work, swiping from any other direction does not work, pinching does not work....the only thing that works is turning off the power!!!!

New iOS 5 Apps

Have to say I'm not exactly impressed with the Apps that suddenly appeared as part of the iOS 5 update. The whole iCloud thing is somewhat lost on me as an iPad only user (I'm not a Mac computer user either). But most disappointing is the Newsstand App, which is absolutely rubbish. I think the problem is that the store just takes you to iTunes where searching for stuff is just painful. I saw a Magbook in a newsagent the other day that I wanted to get on my iPad. I couldn't remember the name so I'm kind of stuck. I found it on Zinio in about 20 seconds because it has a search tool. Nothing fancy but you get where you need to be by way of title search, key words, category. So I've been wholly unimpressed with Newsstand and have gone back to Zinio. Just disappointed it doesn't seem to be possible to delete crappy Apple Apps that they insist on lumping in with the iOS (why is that BTW?!).

HT5295 Has the "get more episodes" link gone away with the new ios podcast app? If I want another episode of a podcast, I have to exit the app and go to itunes and search for the show and episode?

Do I really need to navigate out of the app to simply download a new or different episode in the Podcast app? Was a simple one touch before, but maybe I am missing something.

Nevermind, I realize you must the have subscription button (in settings) turned to 'on' in order to manage/DL episodes.

Most likely. These "antiviruses" often cause more harm than they prevent.

Post IOS 6 App Problems

Is anyone else having problems with apps after the ios6 install? Many of mine just close when i try to use them.

No problems here.
I would try a hard reset (hold home+power for about ten seconds until the phone reboots, ignore the slide to turn off slider if you get one).
If that fails, try connecting to iTunes and performing a software restore.

New York Times App problem

Greetings. A question with a limited focus I know...
Just curious if anyone else has had the same problem as me: While reading an article in the NYT app the app will suddenly quit and I'll find myself back at the home screen. Time from starting to read to this ocurring is variable but usually within a few minutes. It is very annoying!
Just curious if anyone else has had this issue and if so what they did to fix it?

I've found the NYTimes app is just a hog, slow, unreliable, and I've deleted it. Instead, I point Safari to mobile.nytimes.com, which looks great, is very fast, and makes reading the Times on the iphone a pleasure. Give it a whirl and see what you think.

TS1702 iOS 6 app problem

Since installing iOS 6 in my iPhone 4S, nothing really works. All of my apps either don't launch at all or unexpectedly quit within a minute, even the native apps of the iOS. Any ideas?

New TV causing DVR problem

My new sharp tv (LC-60LE660U - 2015 model) connected with an HDMI cable will disable the DVR function and not allow recording (until the HDMI is disconnected).
My old sharp tv (LC-60LE832U - 2012 model) was connected the same way and did not have that problem at all. To prove this was real, I re-connected the old tv and it work fine. then connected the new tv and had the stated problem. Do newer TVs have some setting that needs to be changed to allow proper DVR operation?

Is there another HDMI device coming in on the new Sharp? And are you changing the input to that other device? Then the DVR just kinda locks up? It never got the 'see ya later' signal from the TV when you switched inputs that puts the DVR in a coniption fit.
Fix is to connect the TV w/component cables that will give the same HD PQ from the DVR.
