You would have to re download iBooks Author from the U.S. App Store. Launch the App Store then click the round flag icon bottom right side of the window. Select United States
The issue with this is that your billing credentials (regardless of whether or not it's a free or paid app) must be associated with the same country where you reside. So you may not be able to re download iBooks Author in English.
Post your topic in the iBooks Author community here.
More iBooks Author users can offer feedback that way and may know of a work around.

Upgraded to iBooks Author 2.0 and it has rendered my book file unusable. Is there a way to download iBooks Author 1.0/1.1 after you have upgraded to 2.0?
I have tried the book file with a friend's iBooks Author 1.1 and it still works, so it's something with 2.0 that just doesn't like my files.

The problem is with the videoclips. I have an 800-page book that has about 30 video and audio clips in it. After upgrading to iBooks Author 2.0, it requires videos be reformatted. However, when doing so, it says all vid clips are not compatible and I need to re-import them. Fine enough. But after that, even though I can move around the file and update content, if I go anywhere near a page with one of said videoclips, the program crashes. Even if select "Not Now" when opening the file, i.e., not reconverting the videoclips, the program still crashes if I touch any page with a videoclip on it.
I've tried everything. I've tried deleting just the clip from a page (it crashes), deleting the whole page with a videoclip on it (it crashes) or even copying a page with a videoclip on it into a newly created book (it crashes). So I can't convert the clips, I can't delete the old ones and re-import them, and I can't even copy my content into a new book file.
So I feel my only recourse is to open the file back up in iBooks Author 1.1, delete all the videoclips, then re-open in 2.0 as hopefully then the crashing problem will be avoided. Otherwise, I'm stuck with a file I can open but can't update. And recreating an 800-page book that took eight months to put together sounds like a nightmare. Nor should anyone really have to recreate their entire book from scratch, just to upgrade to 2.0? -

There is no PDF available. I sent a link to a page full of links and info not much different from the help files.
There are many Free books in the iBooks store which will take you through the basics of iBA.
I like "Create your first Interactive book using iBooks Author" its created by iBook-Widgets.com - who also supply widgets at a price.. but the book is very free and very good.. search the iBooks store for their title.
You cannot use iBA on an iPad, however, I also use the iPad app -- "Book Creater" ( redjumper.net ) its very low priced around $3 or so. The people who create it are helpful and friendly. You can distribut your books to friends and family using Dropbox or other cloud storage. If you want to creaet an ePub file and then upload to the iBooks store, its not difficult. You create the book on your iPad. It is no where near as good as iBA for functionality.. but it spossible to make really good eBooks.
I think Applecare shoud come into effect with the language problems if it can be found to be a glitch on the computer. Applecare is product based and does not apply to software.
Take it stage by stage, visit your Apple store and ask if they can solve the help files in langauges first, then react to the answer, it could be they can solve the issue which leave you a clear path with iBA.
Also you can gather more indormation about how to use it with the help files.
Try the info I have included and see how it develpops... any problems get back here and we can look for alternatives.

Yes, iBooks Author will on run on a Mac laptop, not an iPad. If your Mac OSX is older than the current version of iBooks Author allows, you'll be alerted to this when you try and download the app.
On your laptop, go to the App Store (icon is a capital A in a blue circle), search 'iBooks Author', ten install. It's also a free download. -

It is in the Mac Apps Store, which you access from the MAS app on your machine, not via a browser. Look in Applications for the MAS app.

I want to download iBooks Author on our school iMac (which has OS 10.6.8) and the download says that OS 10.7.4 or later is required. When I click to update, I'm told there are no updates available. Any suggestionss - Help?

That's because OS X Lion is a paid upgrade. The most recent OS X version is Mountain Lion, so I recommend you to upgrade to this version.
First, make sure that your Mac is supported > http://www.apple.com/osx/specs If your Mac is supported, open App Store and purchase Mountain Lion. While Mountain Lion is downloading, you can make a backup of your files, so you won't lose them if the upgrade fails.
When the download finishes, the installer will show up, so follow the steps to upgrade OS X. It will upgrade OS X to 10.8.2, so you will be able to install iBooks Author and a lot of apps from the App Store. Check if your applications are supported > http://www.roaringapps.com -

I have CC for work and my PC to do work at home. At home I switched from PC to Mac this weekend. I want to redownload my apps for the iMac but it's telling my I'm using a 30 day free trial. I need to discontinue the PC apps and download to the new computer.
YOu need to sign out of the PC thru the CC manager and then sign in on the Mac.

I had to replace the hard drive on my computer. I am now trying to download Adobe Photoshop CS6, previously purchased. I get an error that files are missing after waiting for the whole download. I have Windows7

I downloaded the os 6 by wifi and when the phone restarted it told me to plug into itunes. I did that and the iphone software update has been stuck on '70 hours remaining' for the last 3 hours. Help!
it says " itunes has detected an iphone in recovery mode. you must restore this iphone before it can be used with itunes" so i restore it and after it gets finished it says " the iphone :iphone" could not be restored. the device cannot be found" but ive used this itunes since i got this phone.

I'm not aware of any version of Firefox from Fx 2 on up to Fx 6 where "AVG Safe" is not a problem. Crashes aren't the only failures caused.

My iPad says when i try to download a movie that i don't have enough memory, but when I check I have plenty for the movie and more. What can I do? Also, I can't completely sync to iTunes, when i try it waits at waiting for items to copy forever.
Delete some stuff to make room on the device.
iCloud is not local storage and has nothing to do with your situation.
