i have both a windows vista in self assembled pc and mac OSX10.5.8 in white macbook pro and i ve tried it in both but each time i go it says an email address should be used as an account name and then in other pinstance it will say its not a valid Apple id. hey what is what guys i love everything Apple i used to start repairing Apple IIEs since in1994 using Apple DOS then mac plus mac os 6 or earlier then 9.x until 10 now i thought all apple products are really user friendly also i was expert in replacing broken lcds of 17" powerbooks overhaul broken color Apple Printers Aproducts are so lovely makes one fanatic but this icloud thingy frustrates me a lot really i'd be glad if Apple guys hunt me down hire and include me in their research and development team to improve their intangible products such as this web based service and any other projects i'm an untapped genius in some dimension mate lol (:

Your post is virtually incomprehensible due to irrelevant waffle, lack of punctuation, any form of grammar or a coherent technical question.
If you had read the support article you arrived here from, you would've seen that on a Mac you need OS X 10.7.5 or later and on a PC you need Windows 7 or 8 to use all iCloud features. So both your computers are way out of date.
You also need a valid AppleID. Go to http://appleid.apple.com/ and log in with the AppleID you're trying to use. If necessary, it should give you the option to update your AppleID to make it valid.

I have a Sonos system in my house and suddenly discovered that many songs I bought off of iTunes years ago are 'grayed out' when I try to play them from my iPhone or do not appear as options at all when I try to play them on Sonos from my overall music library. I agree it was not all communicated real well, but in your case it will work out. You missed the program where you could have upgraded 100 tracks for 30 cents each (=$30) but now you can do it via Match (=$25). It works pretty simply, per this document:

Yes. If you subscribe to iTunes Match, you can download your previously purchased music again in the iTunes Plus format. To do so:
You need to delete the original DRM song from your library first. Doing this enables you to download the song again in the iTunes Plus format from iTunes in the Cloud.
Click the Purchased tab in the iTunes Store.
Click Music.
Locate the artist of the song you want to upgrade.
Click the iCloud Download icon next to the song you want to upgrade.
Just don't forget to put the Plus files on your hard drive -- properly backed up of course -- and to cancel the Match subscription before the second year rolls around!

The people on these boards aren't Apple Support and can't do that for you. You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; ways of contacting them include clicking here and picking a method for your country, phoning AppleCare and asking for the Account Security team, and filling out and submitting this form.
They wouldn't be security questions if they could be bypassed without Apple verifying your identity.

Probably not; if you want, you can try using this form, but will likely be told to phone instead.

Only the Carrier it is Locked to can Unlock it.

After upgrading to Lion, I went to open Mail and received the message that it needed to upgrade my Mail database - this may take a few minutes. The bar shows it is about 1/5 along and has been there for over 10 hours. Help!

Have not been recording/using Logic since getting Mavericks, but getting ready for new projects.
How is old Logic Pro (not X) working with Mavericks? And X?
Are the upgrades in X worth the hassels I'm reading about on this forum?

As long as you have Logic 9.1.8 it will run fine under Mavericks. If there is no impending need to go to Logic X then don't bother. Updating for the sake of it when everything is working ok is not something I do. I only went to logic 9 from 8 about 7 months ago. Had the box install of 9 for a couple of years before moving to it because I had no need.
If you do decide to go to Logic X make sure you have 64bit versions of any 3rd party plug-ins.
There are some good features in Logic X but do you need them and do you need to move?

If your device is not recognized by iTunes, I would recommend the steps in the article below. Start with the section labeled Verify that the Apple Mobile Device USB Driver is installed > For Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 8 > Update the Apple Mobile Device Driver.

Had the same problem. I uninstalled icloud, restarted my pc and reinstalled icloud and it's working fine. Hope this helps.

You are correct to worry. There is no way for Apple to know if the wifi problem was before or after the drop. If you have Apple Care +, you can get a replacement device for a deductible. If not, user damage is not covered under the warranty or regular Apple Care. You would need to see if they will repair the screen (at your cost), or if you would have to purchase an out of warranty replacement.

Sounds like a good plan, you can never be to safe and having a second External HD is safer than one.
The only thing that I would do different, is setup the 3T as my TimeMachine Backup and then erase and move my Photos, Videos and perhaps even iTunes Media to the 1T. That way you will have room to backup both the Internal Hard Drive and the 1T External Hard Drive to the 3T using TimeMachine.
Take your time, study and use the > Time Machine - Frequently Asked Questions if you get stuck or aren't sure how to make the move.

There is a very good reason why Apple does this.
Basically it is to prevent people from sharing purchased content with their friends. If you buy an app that costs lets say $19.99 and you let a friend sign into your ID on his device in order to download that purchase for free - that is what most people would call stealing. And your not just stealing from Apple - you are really stealing the bulk of the money from the app developer.
There is nothing that you can do now. You have to wait the 90 days. And it is highly unlikely that any feedback to Apple is going to matter. I don't see them changing this anytime soon.
