I have a lifeproof case/cover and the phone has not been dropped. The phone just shut off and wont turn back on even when plugged into a wall charger or into my Mac. Any suggestions?

Connect the iphone to itunes. Does your computer recognize the iphone? If it's detected and seems ok, just let it sync, charge and do its thing, maybe overnight or something. if it doesn't turn on and/or isn't detected, take it to an apple store, there is something wrong with your phone (or if you don't live near one, just try calling apple and hope they know something). If it seems okay, and the same thing happens again, restore the iphone; and if it is still having problems, bring it into the apple store or call tech support.

Try resetting your iPhone by pressing the home and sleep buttons until you see the Apple logo, ignoring the slider. Takes about 5-15 secs of button holding and you won't lose any data or settings.

My iPhone 4 just automatically shut off and now will not turn back on. I have tried plugging it to the wall and into my laptop but nothing is working.

Connect iPhone to the Wall Charger for 10 minutes, it may turn ON itself. If still nothing, keep on charger and Reset, hold both home and power buttons for about 20 seconds until the iPhone begins to start.

I have had this issue since the update to 2.0. My Phone randomly shuts off and I don't notice it until I check the time or want to use it. Then I have to do a hard rest to get it back on. I called apple last week (Thursday) and they told me to do a restore of my phone as a new phone I did that it didn't work, I called them about 2 hours ago and they created a case and suggest I go to the genius bar, on the phone they suggested it was a hardware issue with my phone since I followed all troubleshooting steps. They created a case and suggested I make an appointment online since the time they had given me on the phone will not work for me. So I will be going to the genius bar on Friday or Saturday. Currently only Thursday appointments are available in the mid afternoon and that won't work with my schedule so I have to check back online tomorrow to request an appointment.

My iPhone just shut off today, and won't turn back on. I tried charging it up, but the batter charger doesn't even get warm, so it appears to NOT charge. I'll be trying to plug into iTunes next...but this does not look good for the phone. Any suggestions or has anyone gone through something like this?

Hold down sleep wake button and home button down for 18-20 sec to restart the phone.

My iPhone 3Gs randomly shutting off at any given moment. I could be in the middle of a text, a call, or doing some games and it'll just shut off.
Now here's the unique part. When I go to turn it back on, the apple loading screen pops up but it takes somewhere from 3-5 minutes for it to boot up. Then the lock screen with the time and whatnot shows up. From this point on, my iPhone has a chance to shut itself back down and I have to repeat the process over and over again. Most of the time the lock screen flashes and then goes straight to black (shut down) but sometimes I can make it a few menus before it shuts itself down.
The only way to keep the iPhone on is to plug it into a charger of any sort. I'm fairly certain it isn't a battery charge issue because this happens at any % of power and sometimes my iPhone can use up all of its charge and not have this happen while other times I can be at 90-100% and it could randomly shut itself down. What can I do in this situation if some has some solution to this problem please let me know on [email protected] Thanks!
