HT4561 10.6.8 printing results in paused printers. Have applied 10.6.8 supplemental update but problems remain. Are there other known fixes?
After applying 10.6.8 Supplemental Update a network printer status turns to paused after a printing attempt. Have deleted and reinstalled printers after the 10.6.8 update but problem reoccurs. I have also installed the Repair10.6.8.dmg package but that suggested fix did not work either. Any other suggestions?

Let me first correct myself. My aunt had bought the MBP from apple store USA for me 1 year ago, but she could have only delivered it to me 2 months ago. Its' a brand new computer. I run OSX Snow Leopard 10.6.7 and keeps warning me to update to 10.6.8. As I said, by the time I have received my computer, I tried to learnd and update it but created problems. So I had to go back to the original version which is 10.6.7. Now, for Mountain Lion I am expected of updating to 10.6.8. I am scared the problem would repeat again.
What can I do? Did Apple release any patch/update to fix the problem?

TinaThanks Lilybiri for your response. I had a version of Captivate version 7 and had to purchase an email piece separately so I would receive notifications on quiz completions etc. I just need to know if that would also be the case for the print function and email function in 8.

Macbook Pro OSX 10.8 and Epson WF 7525 will no longer print.
It did until quite recently . However now I get filter failed and RastertoescpII and pages of items when i try to print .
Print head test sheets/head cleaning etc ok .
Have tried to to uninstall and reinstall but nothing.
Any advice, please?.

New laptop so I'm trying to download the drivers for our office printer. Using the http://www8.hp.com/uk/en/drivers.html page but when I click on the link for a CM2320nf MFP, all I ever get is a message saying that the page is unavailable. I've tried both the 'find my product' and 'detect my product' routes with no success. I have an Elitebook but that's not the problem as none of my colleagues can access the page either, on Macs or other HP laptop models. Please can you advise. Thanks.Hi,

I would like to offer a hand in an attempt to resolve the paused printer issue with the Photosmart 6520. What is the Operating System installed on the computer, Windows or Mac?
Also, how is the printer connected to the computer, USB or Wireless?
If Windows, please run the HP Print and Scan Doctor. This will look into the drivers, software and communication that the printer users and try to fix the paused status.
Let me know the results, if you are able to run it, and we can take the next steps if any are needed.

Printer is an HP 5850 connected to Apple Time Capsule via ethernet, and shared by two Apple Macs each running 10.6.8. Printer was using HP Photosmart P1000 driver as there is no HP 5850 driver available for 10.6. Printer was working fine in both text and graphics/photos until software update 10.6.8 was installed. Now, after starting a print, the printer goes into pause mode. Continued attempts to resume printing result in printer going to pause mode. Deleting and reinstalling printer doesn't do anything, nor does installing latest HP printer drivers. What is going on here?
The 10.6.8 update changed a number of printer backend services. For many brands of printer this has stopped them from printing, although usually there is an error message associated with the print job rather than the queue simply pausing.
You can check if you are getting an error by selecting the paused job in the print queue and pressing the blue Job Info button. If there is no mention of a backend failure then you may be able to get your printer working again by simply opening Print & Fax, selecting the HP printer and presssing the minus button under the list to remove the printer. Then click the plus button to add the printer again.
If selecting the Job Info button for the paused print job does reveal that there has been some sort of backend failure then have a look at this thread. There is a lot of information to go through but there are responses with links to scripts that can recover your previous 10.6.7 backend services, assuming you are using Time Machine. -
I'm trying to setup a printer go wireless through my airport extreme, but every time I try to print the printing file gets paused. I'm in loop. PLEASE HELP! (The printer is a Brother 7020 monochrome)
I had the exact same problem
It turns out I was using a 20 foot USB cable between the printer and the Airport Extreme and the signal had become to weak to work. Try using nothing more than a 6 foot cable or try a new cable -

We got stuck when our 6i character mode report migrate to 11g.
We use the same PC to test, when run 6i report(character mode with 200 column) in legacy system, report result were correct in our matrix printer ,
When running in 11g, if we directly print report via report builder (without preview), result were correct.
But running report via preview/screen mode, printing result were incorrect ( not 200 column width).
We try to adjust PC's printer/paper setting , but our-defined printing option never appeared in printer dialog.
Is anything(config or some setting) we forgot to do in this situation ?

Wireless printing results in gibberish
If I am posting in the wrong forum, I apologize.
However, I have a MacBook that I am trying to get to print wirelessly to a Ricoh MP C2500 here at work. When I "add a new printer" (IP address), it recognizes the Ricoh (even the icon is accurate!). It offers to use the MP C2500 driver and appears to set up properly. The printer will accept the print job and prints. However, the result of the print job is not the page I have selected but rather several pages of what appears to be the driver's instructions to the printer or whatever. I have deleted and added the printer many times, selected different drivers, and downloaded updated drivers from Ricoh website. The result is as above.
Any ideas would be welcomed.Well, I have solved my problem. I found a website that I was able to download a driver package that works with the Ricoh Aficio MP C2500 (as well as numerous other brands and models). If you are having similar problems with printing, try Sourceforge.net to see if their driver package Gutenprint 5.2.3 will work for you.

i have been using my HP D1600 series printer for almost 1 and a half years now ... and suddenly the print results comes out as blue color when printing in color .. But when i use the Printer Services -> Clean the Print Cartridges, the result (fruits) colors comes out OK .. i am using Photoshop CS4 for printing the images ... I dont know how this happen,, please help ...

Hello I have Adobe CS4 Illustrator, I do large format prints on a Roland SC-540 printer. I my gradients I get bad results. If I have a yellow to white gradient I get blue bands through out the gradient. Is there a setting in the program to change or is it my rip software?
What color management settings? Color mode? This sounds like you are simply not using the proper profile.

Print playlist looks okay, print result worthless
When exporting the playlist to PDF everything looks fine.
But when looking at the final print result, all images are there but not a single letter ....

Now you indicate in your post that you do not have any print options. Just to clarify, are you not seeing a Print button in the program that you're printing from? If you are, is your printer just not printing for you?
Have you tried printing from multiple programs?

Print Results form assignment in QA33

When we click print results for a inspection lot from QA33, the pop-up window displays a default form QM_INSP_RESULT.
I want to know where this form is assigned.

This form is SAP standard form you can see this form in SE71 T-Code.
For printing result of inspection lot (QA33), just give this form name in the field 'form' under print parameters tab and execute it will ask for output device.Enter device name and print.

One may try:
export as XL file
import the XL file
it may clean the annoying oddity.
Other scheme:
export as CSV
import the CSV file.
It's more severe that the 1st one but it's less than dropping the file
