My ipod keeps "turning on" the apple will show up, fade away, and then repeat. It has been doing this for hours.

my ipod wont turn on. the white apple with the bite appears, stays for about 10 to 15 seconds like it normally does for booting up, then fades away and the screen goes black. 5 seconds later it repeats. it has been doing this for hours now. I tried the home and power button thing and the screen went black. then i hit the power button and it continued to do the same thing. i tried plugging it in to my wall, my charger recognised that it was charging. i tried plugging it into my computer and it made a sound like something was plugged in. but nothing came up.

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Will not turn on, will not turn on unless connected to power, or unexpected power off
Verify that the Sleep/Wake button functions. If it does not function, inspect it for signs of damage. If the button is damaged or is not functioning when pressed, seek service.
Check if a Liquid Contact Indicator (LCI) is activated or there are signs of corrosion. Learn about LCIsand corrosion.
Connect the iPhone to the iPhone's USB power adapter and let it charge for at least ten minutes.
After at least 30 minutes, if:
The home screen appears: The iPhone should be working. Update to the latest version of iOS if necessary. Continue charging it until it is completely charged and you see this battery icon in the upper-right corner of the screen . Then unplug the phone from power. If it immediately turns off, seek service.
The low-battery image appears, even after the phone has charged for at least 20 minutes: See "iPhone displays the low-battery image and is unresponsive" symptom in this article.
Something other than the Home screen or Low Battery image appears, continue with this article for further troubleshooting steps.
If the iPhone did not turn on, reset it while connected to the iPhone USB power adapter.
If the display turns on, go to step 4.

Connect the iPhone to a computer and open iTunes. If iTunes recognizes the iPhone and indicates that it is in recovery mode, attempt to restore the iPhone. If the iPhone doesn't appear in iTunes or if you have difficulties in restoring the iPhone, see this article for further assistance.

However, the most likely reason is your self-repair of a device that is only factory repairable broke something. Note that Apple does not sell replacement parts, so whatever parts you used were not made by Apple's supplier and are of questionable quality.

Games are not turning on . I click on a he icon but screen slightly fades away and comes back to same spot.

Continuation, when screen fades away it feels as if it wants to start a game but then it just goes back to the original screen . I thought that was a wifi issue but now I am connected to wifi and it still does the same thing.

Is it every game or just some of them? It's entirely possible that hte game isn't compliant with iOS5. And if that's the case it's up to the developer to update their software for the new OS.

ok so last night i finally decided to do the upgrade on my phone... well i guess BIG mistake.... now my phone is tripping.... my apps arent working right.... had to delete fb several times..... my photos wouldnt load back up....and my ipod music wouldnt upload for @ least 2 hours.... really krazy... well im frustrated cause i really wanted to listen to my music and when i was trying to do so my sound kept going in and out..... all by its self.... how in the world can i fix this problem?????? Realtek HD Audio - Sound goes away and speakers crackle.

Has anyone found a solution to this yet. I've tried everything that anyone has mentioned regarding losing my sound. I've installed drivers from HP's site and from Realtek's. I've tried running the sound troubleshooter. I've enabled onboard audio from the BIOS settings. Nothing has worked. Is this a conflict with Windows 7?

Has anyone found a solution to this yet. I cannot figure out what's going on with my audio. It appears that the Realtek Hardware manager will sometimes recognize that the speakers are plugged in and sometimes won't. Sometimes it notifies me that they are plugged in, and then 1 second later says that they aren't. Then it keeps doing that back and forth until I close the message. I've tried everything I can think of, and all suggestions I've been given. Will buying an external sound card be the best solution at this point?

I have erased and restored my 24 inch Intel iMac. I have upgraded to the last version of X os. My system is running WAY slower than it was before. Even opening windows seems to lag and the spinning wheel come up for everything. Every task is slow, even typing this! lol

Thanks for the update. It is good to know that the maintenance procedures helped. Regular maintenance and a good backup are key to computer security. Gulliver's article has a suggested schedule. Dr. Smoke's FAQ on Backup and Recovery has excellent information and advice. I part company with him on his insistence on Retrospect, which I have found to be difficult to use. SuperDuper has been shown the best backup software in these tests.
If you usually leave your computer on or asleep, it is good practice to shut down and start up in Safe Mode occausionally. I do it about once weekly.

How do I display a group of photos automatically and each photo is displayed in a slow motion in flash 8

i.e. every 5 seconds, and each picture showed in a moving status,
how can I achieve this....

It is possible to make a collage manually and its quite easy. This method may suit your purpose.
Click File >> Open and select all of your photos
That will add them to the project bin
Then select File >> New >> Blank File
Select background color White (or whatever you prefer) and add your width and height for your final image (set resolution 72 for web usage or 240 to 300 for printing) then click OK
In the project bin click your first photo and drag it up into the main window on top of your new background.
Click on the move tool and click in the center of the photo and drag to arrange it where you want on the background - you can hold down the shift key to maintain original proportions whilst dragging the corner handles of the bounding box to get the size you want.
Do the same with the next photo (drag it up into the main window) and use the move tool to position it. Then continue with each image.
Finally Click Layer >>Flatten image and save as jpeg. (Save as PSD if you want to preserve the layers for editing again)
N.B. as you add images they get dropped in the center. So you need to use the move tool to drag them apart. Click in the middle of one and move it around, and then the others until you get them positioned as you want
When you click again with the move tool a bounding box appears around the image and you can drag out the corner handles to re-size your photos. Hold down the shift key when dragging the corner handle and that will maintain the proportions of the original.
Finally click Layer >>Flatten Image and save - you may then want to use the crop tool to cut away any surplus white canvas, and then re-save.

Log and transfer not changing frame rate to slow motion on P2 cards...

I swear I have done this before on final cut studio 2 and it came out correctly, but for some reason this time, either myself or the computer is making an error. (chances are it's me).
Basically, I'm logging and transferring footage that was shot on P2 at 50 fps, and my intention is to import it at 23.98 fps. I thought this is something that naturally happens in the log and transfer process, but i guess not?
My project was set up via easy set up at panasonic dvcproHD frame rate 23.98... and I'm logging an d transferring directly into my browser but the f frame rate stays at 50 fps. (footage was shot in England to be incorporated into a video already shot in America).

Your guess is right...it DOES NOT slow it down upon injest. ONLY if you set the camera up to shoot 720p25 and then choose the 50 frame rate (I hear this is what you do...I am not a camera guy, so...), then it will import slowed down. But you have to set the camera up CORRECTLY. The first time I imported slow mo, it was 60p...and I had to use the Frame Rate Converter to slow the clips. Then my camera guy figured out the setting in camera and BOOM...there it was.
So...I guess you are NOT wrong...actually. It just needs to be set up IN CAMERA in order to do what you want.
and I don't know if the Frame Rate Converter works for PAL footage...stupid, but...no...Stupid.

Ideapad A2109 - Sound fading away when on Skype

I have a new Ideapad A2109. When using Skype, the person I am speaking to can hear me fine for the first couple of minutes of the call, but then the sound fades away and they can no longer hear me at all. I can continue to hear them ok. This problem doesn't happen when I'm using Skype on my laptop. Any ideas or suggestions would be very welcome, thanks.

Clearly you have very discriminating ears and you have determined a truth that has been present in all MBPs from when they were first introduced. The sound quality from the internal speakers is very poor. Having a 2006, 2010 and late 2011 MBPs puts me in a position to verify that.
The fact is that the laws of physics preclude the possibility of High Fidelity sound from such small speakers placed in the given enclosure in which they reside. Though there are relatively small speaker on the market, none are as small as those in your MBP that will produce any better sound. I seriously doubt that the Apple engineers thought about the speakers being any thing more than a very basic sound transducer.
The only recourse is to use quality earphones or use the audio output port to drive amplified external speakers.

Ipad mini screen fades away each time i power it on

My ipad mini first gen keeps turning off but not like a normal unexpected power off instead the screen fades away and to get to turn back on i have to hold powet button and home. i tried a software restore but no luck, i think its a battery problem.

I'm not a hardware expert and I don't think anyone here is either. However, if it was the battery, I think that you would see other signs of battery problems such as inconsistent charging, the device not holding a charge, and things like that. Maybe it's a short, but I would have no way of knowing that either. Why don't you contact iPad repair support and explain it to them.

If this was my iPad, I would make an appointment at an Apple Store and ask them to take a look at the iPad. It is much easier to book a Genius Bar appointment if you use the Apple Store app.

X-Fi Platinum sound fad

Hello, all. I purchased an X-Fi Platinum card last Christmas, and it's been working exclusi'vely well until about a month ago, when, at random intervals, the sound will fade down about 45-50% for a few seconds, then bump back up to the previous setting. It happens fairly often, but not constantly. I've installed, reinstalled, and swept/installed drivers. I have a two-speaker Altec-Lansing setup, as well as a pair of Panasonic headphones. I'm having the same problem too. It's quite random when the sound fades. I can be listening to music for 20 or so minutes then the sound fades in and out every 30 to 40 seconds or so.

- The 2G iPod can only go as high as iOS 4.2.1. It does not have the hardware to support a higher iOS version.
- Your only way is if you have the version that was compatible on your computer such as in the recycle bin/trash or in a computer file backup. In that case delete the current version that is in your iTunes App library and replace it with the older version. Then sync.
- You can only download the current version from the App store.
