  • How to add image of Front panel TAGS to html report?

I have a VI with several tabs some of which I would like to append to an HTML report. So far I have managed to include just the front panel front tab (using the Append Front Panel Image to Report.vi. Is it possible to create an image of the tabs in order to append to my report?
    I'm using LabVIEW 7.1 on windows 2000
Thanks for any help. It would be greately appreciated.
    Eduardo

    Hello Eduardo,
In order to accomplish this, you'll need to use the Append Control Image to Report VI in a loop.  On each iteration of the loop, programmatically change the Tab Control page (with a local variable or the Value property), then append the tab control image to the report.  That way you'll have N images in the report, where N is the number of pages in your tab control.
    Hope this helps,

  • Apply a border to the chart in HTML report

    Hi,
I am generating an html report as the final output for my LV program. I have a few graphs that i have added to the report using the append control image to report tool. I have set the image on the control panel to be transperent so that it is printer friendly when i print out the html report. Everything works fine but there is no border around the axis, i.e. there is no solid line that defines x axis and y axis for the graphs. Is there is a property tool that can be used to set this?
    Thanks

I have used this trick alot. One thing that I found is that if you make the color inside the graph white instead of transparent you will get the results that you are looking for. I usually make the outside of my graph transparent and the inside of my graph white and it looks good.
    Hope this helps

  • The graphic HTML signature panel does not appear in my Mac mail

The graphic HTML signature panel does not appear in my Mac mail. I have inserted the signature after reading on the forum. But the images do not download - the rest of the text in the signature is in place - just the logo and the baseline which is a graphic file does not download.  Please help.

Hi, are the pics at a remote location, or on your Mac?
Have you tried drag & dropping the graphics on the signature window?

  • Cannot launch Java Report Panel

I would like to use the 'Advanced' Web Intelligence editor.
Unfortunately, when I attempt to edit a WI report, I get a message that reads 'This software has already been installed on your computer.  Would you like to reinstall it?'
If I allow the installation, Java 6, Update 3 is downloaded and installed.  I restart the browser.  Attempting to edit the WI report generates the installation message.
If I don't allow the installation, I get an error that reads 'Cannot launch Java Report Panel, please make sure you have installed a Java virtual machine.'.
It never gets out of this installation loop.
At one point, the Advance editor worked, then something changed.
The Java Control Panel indicates that I have JRE versions 1.6.0_03 and 1.6.0._20 installed (in the Java Applet Runtime Settings).  In addition, versions 1.4.2_04, 1.4.2_07, 1.4.2_12, and 1.6.0_03 are listed in the JNLP Runtime settings.
    Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

I am having the same problem and I don't see an answer here.  I have uninstalled every instance of java and restarted my computer, then installed the one suggested here:  Cannot launch Java Report Panel, please make sure you have installed a Java virtual machine. (the Java Virtual Machine was a link).  Restarted again, tried again, same error. On the sun page, I tested my java installation and it works fine.  I have checked that java is enabled in both IE and Firefox and I still get this error in either browser.  I am using Windows XP.
Upon comparing my computer with my coworker's java configurations, we found that she has a certificate called "Business Objects America" and I don't have that.  Could that be the problem, and if so, where can I get that certificate?  There was no active X question as I would have expected to see asking to run active X or not.  I can't find any certificate downloads on your site at all.
Please advise ASAP because I need to use this Web Intelligence Reporting and I cannot get in.
    Thank you.

  • HTML Report with images in LabVIEW 6.1

I am generating an HTML report in LabVIEW 6.1 with an image. When I
save the html file to disk, two files are saved, the report and the
image. The report has the name I specified but the image does not.
It is not readily apparent that the two are related. As a result,
when I try and e-mail or move the report, the image gets left behind.
Is there a way to embed the image file in the report? Or what is the
best way to associate these two files so they can be e-mailed
    together?
    Tim Erickson
    Signature Control Systems

    Tim,
Unfortunately, HTML does not include images.
A suggestion would be to create a GIF image, or to put everything in a zip file, or something to that effect.
I had to work with HTML documentation for LabVIEW, and actually used LabVIEW to substitute the images for control types with words, such that images were not required. You can try this if your images are nothing more than representations for which text can be substituted.
Alternatively, if your image is something like a graph, or the front panel, I might suggest creating a .gif or .jpg image out of it. This has to be done manually, but will make the page one single file.
Good luck, I hope that helps.

  • Hyperlink to a html report

    Hi ,
    I`m using LV2009.
I have simulated a test report of a test board and generated a HTML report in the VI. The generated HTML report is saved in the file in some folder in the hard drive.
All I wann is the hyperlink to the HTML report in the front panel.
I saw few posts in the forum on the hyperlink but majority dealt with the excel sheets.
    Looking forward for your solutions.

  • 2 questions about my Html report

    Dear All,
I've created this Html reporting VI as a template for future work. As you can probably see on the VI i'm saving at a set time so that i can save the report once a day. I'm doing this by comparing the current time to the time input it works but it creates 2 folders one for the right set time and one for the second later somehow i've tried various solutions but i still cannot manage to obtain only one folder. Could someone help with this please?
Another issue is when i'm appending front panel images (in sequence 2). Is there a way to insert a space or tab between them because at the moment they are one after the other? I found the tab for reports but it doesnt work for html only for excel by the look of things.
    Thank you in advance,
    Frederic.

    For your specific questions:
The reason you are getting 2 folders is that you are comparing the time to the resolution of seconds. Your save is occurring so fast that when the loop iterates again less than a second has passed, so the comparison you are performing to test whether to generate the report is still true. Instead of doing all those conversions just compare the current time with the set time to save using a simple Greater or Equal? function.
Normally extra spaces and tabs in HTML are ignored by browsers. If you want to insert a space you have to use a non-breaking space or create a table.
    Other comments:
Do yourself a favor and get rid of the sequence structure. All those sequence locals just make a mess. Use a state machine or create subVIs that logically break up your report generation.
The outermost while loop is not necessary. You can place the update of the current time in the small loop.
Do not hard-code paths in your code as you are doing with the directory where the reports will be saved.
Is the intention to save the report "on-demand" by allowing the user to change the time when the report will be saved, or where you intending to save this automatically once a day?

  • HTML Report Problem

Hello,Who can help me to check out the problem in my VI.The graph won't be shown after generate.

    HTML Report Generation.vi ‏56 KB

I had no problem running this VI.  Since I didn't have the VI you are using with Append Front Panel Image to Report (your VI is called X crossing3.vi), I used my own VI with a chart on its panel...when I generated the report, it came out fine.  Do you have the X crossing3.vi open when you run the HTML Report Generation.vi?  Since you are using the VI name as a string (as opposed to a path), the VI must be open when you run the report generation VI, otherwise no front panel will be appended.  If your X crossing3.vi is not open for whatever reason, you can wire a path to Append Front Panel Image to Report instead of a string.
I hope this makes sense.  If you're still having trouble, please attach any additional VIs to your response that I would need to reproduce the problem.  Also, give me the exact steps to what you're doing, and the resulting problem you're seeing.
    Good luck,

  • Maven : Generate html report

    Hi all!
I would like to know how to generate the html report with the maven plugin.
It's said that "Currently, FlexPMD produces a XML report by default, plus an HTML report when invoked by the Maven site plugin."
I added the section correponding to the FlexPMD in my pom project as following :
                <plugin>
                    <groupId>com.adobe.ac</groupId>
                    <artifactId>flex-pmd-maven-plugin</artifactId>
                    <version>1.0.RC4</version>
                </plugin>
but when I do a site generation, it just generates me a pmd.xml report with the violations (good!) but the flexpmd.html report generated is empty (there are just the default informations about my project but nothing about pmd).
If someone has allready configured flexpmd on his maven project, I will be happy to have some help please!
    Thanks'

    Hi
We didn't modify anything to get the HTML report. We just download the source code of "flex-pmd-maven-plugin", modify the version in the pom to "1.0.RC4", and launch "mvn clean install"
This will install the plugin and download all dependencies in your MavenRepository
Then in the pom of our flex project we define the plugin in the <build><plugins> section and also in the <reporting><plugins> section , like this :
    <plugin>
         <groupId>com.adobe.ac</groupId>
         <artifactId>flex-pmd-maven-plugin</artifactId>
         <version>1.0.RC4</version>
    </plugin>
Then in the top level of our flex projet (the same level of the pom file) launch "mvn clean site"
This will generate the flexpmd.html in the target/site directory.
    Hope it will help !

  • PowerDesigner 16.5 SP02 HTML Report not displaying diagrams in IE8

I am creating an HTML report in PowerDesigner 16.5 SP02 and the diagrams are not displaying in IE8.
I am aware that these are SVG images and that a download/install of SVGViewer would fix this BUT I don't want to have to download something to view the report in IE.
I am also aware that IE11 displays the diagrams but we are using IE8 company wide due to legacy applications that were built on it.
Any suggestions on how to fix this when building the report? Is it possible to change format of the diagrams? I know there is a way in PD Portal but can't seem to find a way to do it in PowerDesigner.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi
1st create the report using the wizard that uses the default image type.
Go to the html source directory and find the image.
Copy and rename it to a jpg / bmp / png etc
Next create a custom template report.
Once you are at the selection criteria - select the Graphic File from the Available items on the left.
Import the graphic image as a .jpg / bmp /png etc
    continue selecting reporting options.
once done - save as a new template
Go back to your model and select the newly created reporting template and continue as per normal.
    Alternatively
I know this is not the most elegant solution but you could try the following.
    1) Go the the directory where the html report files was saved.
    2) copy and rename the image file to the desired format i.e .gif / .jpg
    3) go to the html link in the report where the image is displayed.
    4) right-click the image and select inspect element
    5) check what the name of the source .html file is
    6) edit the html page and rename the image in the .html file to what you changed it to.
    7) save and refresh
    hope this helps
    regards
    JC
