HTTP3068: Error receiving request

Hi,
We have a Iplanet Iws 6.0sp1 web server running in DMZ, which forwards request to a SUNONE 7 based application server which is inside intranet.
Now lately we are seeing that the sunone server.log is throwing the following messages
[20/Apr/2006:05:08:09] SEVERE (23451): HTTP3068: Error receiving request from 10.100.10.231 (Not connected)
Can any one help me out to figure out what could be the probably reasons for this messages coming up. Because I have tested the connectivity between the web and the app server and that is alive.
Please let me know if there is any further information needed.
Nikhil

We had a similar problem in April 2007 though we were seeing 'Connection refused' messages associated with the HTTP3068 error and this appeared to be due to our load balancers doing a reset rather than a graceful close (see OSC Case ID 37837095). We have now replaced the load balancers and the problem has gone away...
BTW, we only saw this in Solaris 10 environments and this has been linked to BugID 6263346 (Synopsis: accept() cannot produce ECONNABORTED error so the connection is just dropped). Basically, the web server is reading on the socket waiting for data from the client -- The receive (PR_Recv) has probably returned -1 and there is no data in the client buffer (this is what the Sun Engineer told me) so hence the error message and that it relates to a problem with the Solaris 10 system call itself and not the web server application. Also, Sun Application Server is affected in the same way.
The Solaris bug which is causing the problem has a very low priority according to Sun software engineering and there were no other customers requesting a fix (apart from us) so AFAIK it is still open -- so the option for us was to move back to Solaris 8 or change the load balancers to handle HTTP protocol connections properly.
BTW, we also had similar problems with the Directory Server product and load balancers filling the logs ....
Hope this helps and I am happy to provide more details if needed.

    IrekIrek,
    Did you ever figure out how to fix this issue with the Sun Webserver 6.1 that you had back in July last year with the "Error receiving request from <ip address> (Connection refused)" messages? We are getting the same errors on our Sun ONE / Sun Java System webserver version 6.1 SP6. Please let me know.

  • JDBC receiver adapter - Error processing request in sax parser

    Hello,
    I want to INSERT idoc data via JDBC adapter into a MS SQL database. After digging through SAP Help, numerous blogs and forum discussions on SDN and even posting an OSS message I still get the same error:
    'Error: TransformException error in xml processor class: Error processing request in sax parser: No 'action' attribute found in XML document (attribute "action" missing or wrong XML structure)'
    When testing my mapping in the Integration Repository the resulting XML message is:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <ns0:Employee xmlns:ns0="http://prodrive.nl/xi/HRMasterdata/HRMD_A_2_d_bcommerp">
       <STATEMENT>
          <T_PD_Employees action="INSERT">
             <access>
                <KeyTag>00088888</KeyTag>
                <PerNo>00088888</PerNo>
             </access>
          </T_PD_Employees>
       </STATEMENT>
    </ns0:Employee>
    The connection to the database is fine, Sender adapter with a SELECT * works perfect.
    Can anyone help me solve this problem? I'm lost.
    Best regards,
    Roelof Jan Bouwknegt

    Hi Bhavesh,
    I have tried out the change you suggested. Without success. Message I get back is
    - 2006-12-28 10:34:08 CET: Error: TransformException error in xml processor class: Error processing request in sax parser: No 'action' attribute found in XML document (attribute "action" missing or wrong XML structure)
    structure in testtool:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <ns0:Employee xmlns:ns0="http://prodrive.nl/xi/HRMasterdata/HRMD_A_2_d_bcommerp">
       <STATEMENT>
          <T_PD_Employees action="INSERT">

             </ACCESS>
          </T_PD_Employees>
       </STATEMENT>
    </ns0:Employee>
    Somehow the SAX  parser doesn't like the result of my mapping. Maybe there is something wrong with the structure cardinality. Let me describe what I have built:
    XSD:
    WA_T_PD_Employees - Complex Type
    > STATEMENT - Element - Occurence = 1
    >> T_PD_Employees - Element - Occurence = 1
    >>> STATEMENT - Attribute - Occurence = optional
    >>> access - Element - Occurence = 1..Unbounded
    Best regards Roelof Jan and thanks for your quick response

  • It says i have bars, but i can't call, top up or text, all it keeps saying is error performing request, unkown request. what is wrong and what do i do

    like it says in the title, I have a 3GS and i'm with O2, it is saying I have service/bars most of the time full bars, but when I go to text, call or even top up, it comes up with error performing request, unknown error. I can't receive calls or texts either, I can't use the phone side of my phone everything else like iPod, Internet etc is working fine, but nothing is working for my phone.
    I've checked my sim card, I've made sure it is in properly, I've turned it off and on. nothing is working
    what is wrong with my iPhone why is it not working, and how do I fix it.
    Please someone give me some answers.
    P.S. I have only had this phone for just over a year.

    It sounds like an O2 problem, you'd have to get in contact with them on 0800 977 7337
    Have you tried the SIM card in another phone?

    Hello,

    Hi Nicola,
    This error occurs when the receiver side structure is incorrect.
    Your structure seems to be correct.
    Please use lower case for action, access and table.
    Please check whether the field names are exactly the same as in the actual Database table sadmt1.SPE106TST.
    Check if the table has permissions to write.
    You can try an alternate structure without using table tag.

    Hi gurus,
    I have a report that has a parameter file. When I call the report the parameter form is displayed but after I enter the parameter values and click SUBMIT QUERY, I receive this error:
    Error: The requested URL was not found, or cannot be served at this time.
    Oracle Reports Server CGI - Reports Server name is not specified.
    If I run the report without parameter file it runs fine.
    Does anyone have an idea on how I can make this work.
    Thanks

    * Can you please tell what version of Reports you are using ie 6i or 9i and the exact version [ In builder give Help->About] . In this problem we cannot deduce anything from the version. But if it is very old, we can recommend installing the latest patch.
    * Please post the full command line request. If you have used any keys in cgicmd.dat , please post the expansion of that keys also.
    * If possible as a workaround give paramform=no&paramName=paramValue ... in request till this problem is resolved.

  • Client-Auth reports: HTTP4031: Unexpected error receiving data: -5938

    I am trying to deploy the clientcert sample applcation that comes with the platform edition of SunOne V7.
    I have used openssl as a CA and have created client and server certs.
    I get the following problem.
         Sun ONE Application Server - HTTP Status 403 Error
         Access to the specified resource (Access to the requested resource has been denied) has been forbidden.
         Type: Status Report

    As can be seen from the server.log below, some form of authentication succeeds:

    Also, HTTPS works with server side authentication and I signed both client and server certs with same private "CA" certification.
    Question: Do I need any special extentions in the certs for use with SSL?
    Thanks in advance.

    This is a Tunnel. Status: OPEN, Raw Bytes Out: 3,797; In: 7,604
    The selected session is a HTTP CONNECT Tunnel. This tunnel enables a client to send raw traffic (e.g. HTTPS-encrypted streams or WebSocket messages) through a HTTP Proxy Server (like Fiddler).
    To enable Fiddler's HTTPS-decryption feature and view decrypted traffic, click Tools > Fiddler Options > HTTPS.

    Thanks in advance..
    Best Regards,

    Hi Kiran,
    It's not a problem or error, it's just a message and hence can be ignored. However you can check out SAP note 1111154 once, it will fix the issue probably if it's happening due to HTTP problem. Else you can very well ignore it.

  • Executing function module gives error "Portal request failed: Connection fa

    Dear Experts,
    I have a Function module  Z_SAT_CREDITLIMIT_CHANGE which in itself accesses the SAP Update Function module
    UPDATE/INSERT  of the credit limit(CREDITLIMIT_CHANGE)
    and writes the changed data to the Table KNKK(Customer Master Credit Management : Control Area Data).
    While executing this fn module Z_SAT_CREDITLIMIT_CHANGE
    from VC storyboard i received error "Portal request failed:
    Connection failed: Nested Exception: Native Connection to backend system is broken" . Z_SAT_CREDITLIMIT_CHANGE executes fine and updates data in ECC system.
    Than i noticed further that while commenting the part of code in Z_SAT_CREDITLIMIT_CHANGEwhere call to fn module CREDITLIMIT_CHANGE is made there's no error recieved and Z_SAT_CREDITLIMIT_CHANGE executes without error but obviously no data is updated.
    Appreciate if any one can please explain how can i use CREDITLIMIT_CHANGE  in Z_SAT_CREDITLIMIT_CHANGE
    without any errors.
    Kind Regards,
    Robin.

    Hi Robin,
    Also, check that the user with the one you're accessing to the backend have permissions to execute the Dataservice at the backend system.
    You should check the usermapping to know which is the user at backend.
    Best Regards,
    Luis

    I noticed that the below error logged in errors log
    trying to GET /my/jsp/passo/, Client-Auth reports: HTTP4031: Unexpected error receiving data (End of file)
    I configured obj.conf for the above one
    <If $uri =~ "/my(/passo.*)">

    <Object ppath="/my/jsp/passo/*">

    </Object>
    Please correct me if i am wrong in the configuration. If i removed those lines it is started working. but i am not sure this will enforce the request to provide certificate from the client.
    I highly be appreciated if any one responded.

  • Exchange 2013 in Mac Environment - iPhones recieves email, Mac Outlook does not, OWA Error: Your request cannot be completed right now. Please try again later.

    We are having some problems in Exchange when customers send us emails with large attachments. It doesn't happen all the time which is weird.
    The emails show up fine on iPhones although it is very slow to show the whole email and attachment.
    In OWA it gives an error - Error: Your request cannot be completed right now. Please try again later.
    The emails never make it to our computer email program, Mac Outlook 2011

    Hi,
    What’s your Exchange 2013 version?
    According to your description, I understand that the message which is sent from external customers with large attachments can’t be opened in OWA and Outlook for Mac for Exchange users. Is it rights?
    If that is the case, please confirm if the issue only happens with the large attachment messages. Please confirm if the message with no attachment sent from the same customer can be received and shown correctly in OWA.
    Please recycle the application pools in IIS Manager to have a try. If it doesn’t work, please change the OWA to use Conversation view then check whether the issue persists.
