Hw to restrict Item frm reappearing in Returns ord which returned already.

Dear Gurus,
I have a sales return scenario in which I make a return sales order with the reference of original sales order.
accordingly i have maintained the copy control also. Scenario is doing well. But one query is there which i have fix now.
Scenario.
I create a sales order for two different items with different quantities. say material A and B with 5 and 6 quantity respectively.
Now i want to create a return for item A for all the quantity ie 5. so accordingly i create a return sales order w r to original sales order for Item A and quantity 5. Then i make return delivery also. with all these activities everything is fine.
Now i have a requirement where i have to make another return order for second item 'B' also so when I go to VA01 and gives order type "RE" system asks me for reference sales order so i provide the same sales order number then pop up message comes that there is already a return of item '0001' (ie Item A in this case) for quantity 5. After pressing enter system will take us inside the order where I can see the Item A also with the blank quantity field. so i need to delete the item line of material A first.
if dint deletete it and enter some quantity manually for item A system accepts it and allow all the further processing which is wrong.
Here i want the system should not reappear any of sales order item for which the full quantity is returned already.
Reappearing the fully returned item will create wrong practices So please tell me how can I restrict these items from reappearing into the return order.
I have maintained the Copy control for OR to RE is as follows for itm catg - TAN .
DataT 151 General item data
DataT 102 Bus.data/item compl.
DataT 002 Partner item
FPLA  0
X - Update document flow
Cont. item copy mode
Copy product select.
Configuration
Pos./neg. quantity
Copy quantity
Pricing type         G
Where and what change i should make to fix the above issue please guide me. Thanks in advance for ur suggestions.
regards,
Sanju

I make a return sales order with the reference of
      original sales order.
No it is not recommended.  You should always create a return order referencing the commercial invoice and not the sale order.  So have copy controls accordingly.
i want the system should not reappear any of sales order
item for which the full quantity is returned already.
If you modify your copy controls as suggested, this issue will not arise.

  • Restrict Item Category Item Creation using Reference Only

    Hi All
Here is the scenario, I want  "Restrict Item Category Item Creation using Reference Only"
a.Retrieve document number VBELN from sales order header table VBAK for the current order. Check if the sales order is of type ‘ZAB’ referencing field AUART in table VBAK.
note : Any changes to existing sales order "ZAB" will be performed in thesame sales order type(ZAB) in VA02 transaction.
b.If step a is passed, check internal table structure for sales order item level as XVBAP-PSTYV for possible item category values of 'ZDEF' for the entered line item and document number (XVBAP-VBELN).
c.If the cancel/change item category values are found on the line item, check internal table structure for document flow (XVBFA) if the cancel/change item category was created as reference:
i.Check if entry exists in XVBFA for the preceding document number field VBELV with value equal to value in the subsequent document number field VBELN. This value must equal the current sales document number VBELN in table VBAK.
ii.The above check must be done in conjunction with the following check:
1.Check if entry exists in XVBFA for the preceding document type field VBTYP_V with value ‘C’ equals subsequent document type field VBTYP_N with value of ‘C’.
d.Once the above checks are passed, collect the item number from internal table XVBAP (Field: POSNR) for the change/cancel item category line item added to the sales order.
e.Check if the item number retrieved in the previous step exists in table VBAP (Field: POSNR) with an item category that is not part of the list of cancel/change item category defined in step b.
    f. Check if the item number collected in the previous step exists in the subsequent item number (Field : POSNN) in internal table XVBFA for the row that passed checks in steps b and c.
g.If item number exists, check if this subsequent item number field equals the preceding item number field value (Field: POSNV) in table XVBFA.
h.If step g fails, generate an error message stating that the user needs to the create the cancel/change item category line item with reference to the original line item and do not allow the user to proceed with the transaction.
i.If step g succeeds, allow the user to proceed with the transaction.
can any one send me the logic for this scenario.

    Hi all,
Please help me solving this urgent issue.
created customer exit variable on characterstics version and also
other customer exit variable on Value type.
I coded that in variable exit. Problem is when I include these in
restrickted keyfigure My query does not return me any data.
But if I remove from restrickted key firgure and put it as normal
charaterstics I see the variable is getting populated.
Also in RSRT the SQl generated when these are included in RKF is not
    correct.
I debugged and know they are getting populated. As when included in RKF
I can also see the values of customer exit variables from information

I also know that there is data in cube for those restrictions.

  • Restricting items to User/Responsibilities

We want to restrict certain items to certain users 0nly, or to be more
liberal( since items cant be restricted to users) we would like to
restrict the access of some items to only
selected responsibilities in Inventory and Purchasing transactions
    only.
Is it possible first of all to achieve ? And if it is possible then
how do we achieve it? Any standard funbctionlaity or any workaround?
Something like restrictions like Organization access

I note this is a little late to reply to this thread. But was curious - Is you need to
restrict Item Creation or Items being available for Transaction?
The former can be achieved by restricting the access of the Master Items form to
only the few concerned. Even if you want make Org Item form read-only, you cd do that. However, for Transactions there is no way to restrict as of now. And neither can I think of a workaround.

  • FRM-41045 when returning to calling form

I'm using Designer 1.3.2 with Headstart 3.4.3 and Forms 4.5.
    The situation is as follows:
I'm using the call_form functionality to call another form when using a form. This goes well. When I leave the called form to return into the calling form I get the error message 'FRM-41045 Cannot find item: Invalid ID'. The functionality of the form stays in tact, so my question is how can I solve this error or how can I suppress this message?

    Linda,
My suggestion would be to try to drill down on the cause of the problem in form builder. What causes the FRM message?
If you cannot track down to the cause and want to suppress this message, you could try to capture the event in the on-error trigger and continue without an error when this error occurs (maybe encapsuled by a helping global variable construction so that the message is not always suppressed)
In designer/forms 6.0 or 6i you could suppress the message in two ways:
    1. By adding it to the suppress message stack (see hsdapp65.pll for an example).
    2. Add the message to the qms_message_properties table and set the suppr_always_ind to Y.
The headstart 3.4 qms_messages table does not yet contain this column, but you might take a look at the headstart 2.1.2 procedure qms$forms_errors.add_suppress_message(<message number>); to code your own solution for it in headstart 3.4.

  • Restrict Item to be bought by one customer

    Hi,
Is there a way to restrict an item so it can only be bought buy a specified customer?
We have a product line that we stock specifically for one customer and all the stock is allocated to them, but they just order as they need it.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Michael

    Hi,
No "standard" way to restrict such a reservation. But you may try the following few workarounds. None of these are totally fool-proof.
    1) Create a separate "virtual" warehouse where all quantity of this item is stored. Name this warehouse as only meant for that customer. For good measure, lock the warehouse and the permission to unlock to be given only to the person who knows who this item is for.
    2) Change the status of this item to "Not accessible" or "Locked". The person with authority to unlock it knows that this item should only be sold to a particular customer only.
    3) Create an SQL query which will allow the item to be selected in the item grid ONLY if the customer is the agreed one. Otherwise it will return an error.
    4) Lock this item and put remarks in the "remarks tab" that it should ONLY be sold to one customer. The people whi=o unlock it should put in proper remarks when they unlock it & they should know that it should ONLY be sold to that one customer.
    5) SDK solutions could be tried - which will this item to be picked only for one agreed customer
    6) An alert and/or approval could be created for that customer+item combination - which will alert the knowledgeable person who will approve it - otherwise it cannot proceed.

  • Delete Free Goods Item from Sales Order Return

    Hi Gurus!
Could you help me with my question below?
    Version 6.0
We created a sales return with reference to a billing document containing a standard item and an inclusive free goods item.
During sales order processing we are trying to delete the free goods item and system does not allow us to do it.
    Example:
    Item         Mat              Quant.
    10            AAA            10 bx              (Standard)
11            AAA             2 bx          (Free Goods u2013 Inclusive) -> Try to delete this line.
In our business customer can return any box/quantity and we need this flexibility to create returns with reference to both and one separated item.
Do you know if it is missing any configuration o if there is any Note for this topic?
Tks in advance for you attention.
    T.Guimaraes

    Hi,
Free goods is determined automatically in the sales order so you cant delete it manually.
Generally free goods are determined on particular quantity.
Like for every 10quantity you will get 2free.
So if you reduce the quantity of the main item then you free goods will automatically go.
This is the one way in which you can do that.
Other way is that create the new document pricing procedure and assign that one your return document type in VOV8.
Then go to IMG u2013 SD u2013 basic function u2013 free goods u2013 condition technique for free goods u2013 activate free goods determination.
Over here check whether your free goods is activated for the newly created document pricing procedure or not.
If yes then remove that entry and save the setting.
Now create the sales order and check out whether free goods is coming or not.
Please assign the pricing procedure also for your newly created document procedure for your return document otherwise there will be no pricing the return document.

  • F110 Automatic Payment Program- restrict items per payment document

    Hi,
I want to know whether it is possible to restrict number of invoices to be paid in one payment document.
    Scenario:
Suppose a vendor has 25 invoices to be paid normally all the invoices would be paid thru' one payment document but my client wants to restrict the number of invoices in one payment document as 10.
Is there any config to be maintained in FBZP?
I hope I am clear in my query.
    Thanks

    Hello Suresh,
I feel that the number of items to be processed in a payment run cannot be restricted.
Please go through the below link to understand the various processing settings for the automatic payment program.

  • RENN item not flowing in return sales order automatically

    Hi all,
When i add RENN in item category proposal for copy control of billing doc to sales doc(YDRE to YDF2) where YDRE is return and YDF2 is outbound billing. So when I create a return order with reference to invoice will the free good item flow automatically in the return sales order or is there any other configuration???

    Hi Avishek,
Check your item category assignment first that renn is properly assigned to your
Order type u2013 item category group u2013 usage u2013 item category at higher level.
You can do this from the path
IMG u2013 sales and distribution u2013 sales u2013 sales documents u2013 sales document item u2013 assign item category.
Do this setting first then go copying control with the following path.
IMG u2013 sales and distribution u2013 sales u2013 Maintain copy control for sales document.
Search for your sales document type YDRE from billing document YDF2.
Go to the item level and search for item category used in billing document.
Go to the detail of that item category you will find item category proposal.
    Write down over there RENN.
Now try to create the return sales order it will happen.
This setting you have to do so that it will automatically determine in sales order.

I have a question regarding TANN item category. This TANN item category item is not picking for return sales order type. As far as i know RENN is the free goods for return sales order. Can you please clarify the above question further

    Hi
If you are making return order by copying sales order then please see this procedure also.
Try to check in the copy control also.
Go to the following path IMG u2013 Sales and Distribution u2013 Sales u2013 Maintain Copy control for sales documents. (Tcode VTAA)
Select copying control : sales document to sales document.
Search your return delivery order from the reference sales document type.
Then select the item from the left side Colum.
Go and find out TANN item category and click on detail.
Check out Item Cat proposal. If it is empty then type your RENN condition type over here.
Now try to create the return sales order it might work.

  • Item status of a return sales order

    Hi,
When I created a return sales order, the overall status for item is blank instead of the usual 'open', please indicate why, or where I should check to solve the problem.
    Best Regards,
    Helen

    HI,
You can check the standard SAP tables for the document status.
VBUK - Header Status and Administrative Data
VBUP - Sales Document: Item Status
Hope this helps. Reward points if helpful.

  • Item category in a return order

    Hi Gurus,
The scenario is like : We created the sales order and completed  the Goods Issue and then the invoicing for the sales order. When a return order is created, (return giving reference to the original sales order), can anybody please tell me how the item category in returns order is determined.
We have checked the item category assignment in SPRO, but couldnt get the link between the original sales order attributes and the return order item category.
Any help in this regard would be of help to us.
    Regards,
    Krishna Mohan

    Hi Krishna
In standard SAP, "Return order(RE)" can be created either with reference to "Billing document" OR "Sales order" and there is no Madatory reference for Return order (RE).
Therefore, Return order can be created without  any reference also ,in standard system.
In Copy control (VTAA), you can find  OR  to  RE  as source and target document pair.
Similarly, in copy control (VTAF), you can find  F2  to  RE  as source and target document pair.
If it is required in your organisation, then you can mark "reference mandatory" for Return order (RE).
When you create a Return order(RE) with reference to Sales order(OR),in Copy control (VTAA), no Item category has been proposed for the Target document RE, therefore it is determined from the assignment in the customisation ,as below.
Sales doc type + Item category group + Item usage(if any) + Item category of higher level item(if exists)  = Item category.
    e.g, RE  +  NORM  +  (blank)  +  (blank)   =  REN
If ,you create the Return order(RE) with reference to the Billing document (F2), then in copy control(VTAF) at item level, Item category(REN) has been proposed for the target document, so system copies that to target document RE.
So, as beacuse you are creating the Return order(RE) with reference to the Sales order(OR), you have to check the assignment in customisation as above.
Beside this, "Credit for Return(RE)" is always created with reference to the "Return order(RE)" and  NOT with reference to the "Return Delivery(LR)", in standard SAP.
That is why ,if you check the Item category REN, you will find the "Billing relevance" as "B"(Order related Billing docuemnt).

  • IMac monitor - desktop items disappear/reappear - applications pause

For about a week now, every 2 minutes all of my desktop icons will disappear and then reappear. If I have a folder open, such as the Pictures folder, it will close during this process.
If I am using Firefox or Safari or Photoshop, when the desktop items disappear, so does my mouse's ability to function on the application. I have to click on the application again for the mouse to function on it.
Today I was attempting to burn files to a DVD, but it fails because of this "refreshing" or whatever you call this symptom. Last night my computer did appear to do its weekly backup, (it said it was successful) but I wanted to copy files onto a DVD just in case.
Can someone give me some direction on how to troubleshoot this? In beginner terms? I'd really appreciate it. Thank you.
P.S. The only new things that happened recently that I can think of was that I did a software upgrade (think it was Quicktime...) and downloaded a Wordpress Theme.

Sometimes, starting up in SafeBoot (shift key held after start tone, login window appears
and semi-normal desktop Finder appears; but this is in a reduced function mode) and a
'repair disk permissions' in Disk Utility of the computer's volume on the Mac HD may help.
And after that, or any other minor repairs done in SafeBoot, the computer gets a normal
restart so the rest of the OS will be up and running. If that does not help, there are other
things one may try and do to help it. The matter involves some troubleshooting and a
cause and effect approach is sometimes taken; or on other occasions, a user may try a
long laundry-list of things and hope some issue just goes away; if one or another thing
happens to work. In this instance, learning of a specific issue's cure may not result.
Some items causing a problem, such as those cited above, may be dealt with while
the computer is started up in SafeBoot mode; since extensions and other parts of
such things may be turned off. So, some items like Stuffit can be removed when
they are disabled in SafeBoot. Be sure to run 'repair disk permissions' before and
after software updates, since for some reason this appears to help the system.
Sometimes, just basic system maintenance such as repair disk permissions, running
time/date cron-like routines (see AppleJack download, or OnyX in automation) can
resolve issues that may otherwise involve knowing more about how the system works.
These kinds of tools, free to download and try, can save a bit of trouble; some of that
is preventive in that the routines can be done per schedule to keep the system well.
The bootable installer system disc can be helpful, since there are optional tools in the
Disk Utility on that disc's boot volume; ahead of actually running the Installer itself. A
menu bar appears in the first full Installer window with drop down menus in it, and of
these a few options appear. And in the Disk Utility, chosen from the Installer menu,
there are a variety of tools which can totally obliterate or attempt a repair to the HDD.
An 'archive & install' and then update the resulting new system to the latest version
    of OS X including security update, java, quicktime, safari, and other parts would follow;
in some cases, perhaps extreme, this is one way to resolve system software issue.
There are others, but this is among the last but not least. Further study is recommended
before going the A&I plus update the new system folder route; depending on what else
is going on in the system as it exists now. If this archive & install is performed, be sure
the checkbox to save user account info is marked, so the new system will retain this...
    In any event...
    Good Luck & happy computing!
