Hyperlink not showing

Hi guys,
Hyperlinks are giving me a hard time. I am importing and placing a text from Windows. I would like to edit the hyperlink and edit it to remove the box around but nothing is showing in the Hyperlink panel.
I am reading Adobe Help: "To remove the box, in the Hyperlinks panel, double-click the hyperlink. Under Appearance, choose Invisible Rectangle from the Type menu, and click OK." but i never get to Under Appereance from the Hyperlinks panel.
Nevertherless when i export the file to a PDF the link works right. Should i delete the box and color swatches in Word before i place it in InDesign? How can that be done?

Oops...that was my fool moment of the day..hehe. It was excatly as you said, i just need to dropdown the panel and there they were all the hyperlink available to be edited.
BTW, when you said
"it's possible Acrobat is just doing its thing and recognizing what look like URLs" Do you mean Acrobat can automatically track hyperlink even if they are not active? It would be great to have that feature in InDesign too and not having to go to all hyperlinks one by one by hand.

I was printing directly to the Adobe PDF Printer. This is how I've always done it (for years). It always worked before.
I forgot all about going to the ribbon and attempting it that way — it worked!

I am trying to softproof an image using a CMYK .icc file. I sent an image from LR 5 to PS CC 2014, opened the Camera Raw FIlter, but the hyperlink to access workflow is not showing up in the CR dialogue box... Any ideas why this might be?

Traffic Lights For Hyperlinks panel not showing. INDESIGN.

My traffic lights for the hyperlinks panels are not showing and I have the latest version of CC. How do I show/hide them? Thanks

First, make sure you have InDesign CC 9.2.1. Choose InDesign > About InDesign (Mac) or Help > About InDesign (Windows).
If you're up-to-date, try restoring your preferences:
Trash, Replace, Reset, or Restore the application Preferences

Lion OS x 10.7 does not show me url drop down boxes when I mouse over hyperlinks

Lion 10.7 does not show me url drop down boxes whenever I mouse over hyperlinked text in Gmail.
Is there a setting I missed? Does anyone have any idea why this might be?

I use an iPod nano 5th generation. I have had it for 2 years now and then after about a year when I plugged in my iPod to my computer, the iPod is read but the tab where I would always go that showed my list of artists to sync to my iPod does not show up

I use an iPod nano 5th generation. I have had it for about two years now and after about one year, I plugged in my iPod into my computer to sync more music. Here is the problem: The tab where you go to sync music to your iPod and shows the list of artists and songs you want to sync to the iPod, the tab I can get to but the list of songs and artists does not show up and the only way I can sync music to my iPod is to basically wipe my iPod and start from scratch. Obviously, I do not want to do that because I do not have all the songs in my library that I have on my iPod. I have uninstalled iTunes and then re-installed it, but it did not work and I do not know what else to do. I would really appreciate helpful guidance to get it fixed if it can be fixed. "Put" files not showing up on website

I am hoping this is a relatively simple problem I am encountering. I have been given a site (http://urpl.wisc.edu/people/marcouiller/projects/clearinghouse/Tourism%20Resources.htm) to edit using Dreamweaver and many of the links that are listed are linked to nonexistent pages. I am trying to hyperlink these broken links to actual webpages and it was working fine for awhile. During the past couple of days however, after I "put" the changes to the server, the changes are not showing up on the website. The server displays that it was updated at that specific time and date and the preview page shows the correct links when I open it, but nothing changes on my actual site. I have tried clearing my cache and opening the page in different browsers, but still no luck. I have also tried disconnecting and then reconnecting to the host server and simply restarting Dreamweaver, but all to no avail. Any suggestions on how to fix this problem of changes not displaying on my website?

Are you using a Defined Site in DW or just editing individual pages and uploading?
Could you accidentally be loading the files to the wrong folder on the server?
Your site does have quite a few coding errors (64+ on the first page). You should go through the validator to clean those error up, though they likely don't have much to do with the problem at hand, it's still best for cross-browser performance and display to use correct html mark-up.

RAR5.3 - SoD Report Not Showing Full Risk Description

Hello,
In a Sandbox environment, I'm playing around with/testing a new ruleset. The environment has our Production ruleset and I've added some risks to this ruleset via file upload in Configuration. The risks look great. Both the description and detailed description got imported correctly. The rules generated perfectly for these new risks I uploaded. Everything related to the risk, the way the risk is built, the rules, looks perfect. When I run Risk Analysis on test users that I know have the risk, they show on the report just as expected. However, the risk "description" is essentially missing. For example, in Management Summary View, here is what Risk B001* looks like:
B001: Basis Development & System Administration
Medium Basis TEST_USER(TEST_USER) USSPCJH40_E3
I've bolded the Risk Description.
However, here is what one of my new risks shows up like (F031, a risk we haven't put in production yet for various reasons):
F031: F031
Medium Finance TEST_USER(TEST_USER) USSPCJH40_E3
The Risk Description only says "F031." It still is hyperlinked so it still works, but I want to see the full Risk Description, obviously. When I look at the Risk in Rule Architect, both descriptions are there.
I then extracted the Rules via Rule Export and looked in the VIRSA_CC_RISKT table - the F031 description is there!
B001 (which looks fine) and F031 (which has the description missing) has entries in ALL of the same tables (unless there's a table that I'm not getting with the export?)
Can anyone help me out? Has anyone experienced a similiar issue? Why would all my newly imported risks not show a Risk Description when running Risk Analysis?

This report shows the schedule line items , group schedule line items and rental contact (billing plan) lines when particular checkbox is checked. The checkboxs p_all(non-schedule line) , p_group(group schedule line items) are working in my above alv report and showing result but unfortunately when p_rental is checked it dosent give me result , it says no data selected. This when checked has to show result based on a different set of selections as I have done, but its not shwoing me the result .

Text in landscape orientation is not showing up in portrait view

When I have added additional pages while working in landscape mode and added text to these pages, the text is not showing in portrait view. The only text that shows is the one that comes if I have used the default text box in the 2 column mode. Even using the default textbook I find is not looking good because extra spaces I am putting in for landscape mode aren't needed in the other view. Finally, the headers are also not showing up in portrait view. What to do?
Other difficulties:
1) hyperlinking text is defaulting to the hyperlink character style which is not letting me change the colour from red to blue.
2) jpg images are not being recognized as figures. I would like to be able to bookmark the images, but it is not allowing me. I would also like to have them show in portrait mode, but they are not.

Sorry if I'm being daft, but what do you mean by linking the text fields? I have one text box in landscape view. When I go to portrait, it no longer exists. If I insert a text box in portrait view, it does not appear in landscape.
I'm not sure if this is the same problem, but I'm hoping you might have some ideas.

I am sending notification mail through activity step. On task description tab of task under line editor I have put below code for hyperlink:

In above line please consider 'x' as 'a'.
But when I see email in outlook it does not show anything. Can anyone tell me what is wrong here.
I am using extended notification tool (SWNCONFIG) to send notifications.

Some hyperlinks not appearing in generated Word doc

When I generate a Word document, some of the hyperlinks show up, but not all.
I looked at Peter Grainge's site under Printed Documentation and issues, but didn't find anything that matched my problem. I also looked here on the forum, but didn't find anything.
I have a feeling it's a problem with style mapping because the links that aren't showing up are those that appear in lists (both ol and ul).
In other words, if I put a link in a paragraph that's a regular <p></p> paragraph, it appears in the Word doc and the link itself works.
If I put it in a <li></li> paragraph, the link does not carry over; there is no blue underlining and if you mouse over what should be a hyperlink, the cursor does not change to a hand icon.
Can anyone provide any suggestions?
I'm using RoboHelp 9 and Word 2010.

RoboHelp 10. I recently had a similar problem with hyperlinks not appearing in the PrintedDoc output, despite the following settings:
Conditional Build Expression = None
TOC = Default Table Of Contents, which contains all the topics that I want to appear in the output, but does not include every topic in the HTML Files (Topics) folder.
Retain hyperlinks
By comparing hyperlinks in a number of topics with the Word page, I found that hyperlinks in the Word document are not active when the target topic is in the root folder, but is not included in the TOC.
In the Print Document Content dialog box, I typically select TOC>Show all topics and click the double right-pointing arrows so that all the topics in the default TOC are in the right pane.
When I realized that hyperlinks to root topics were not active, I added the topics to the document content. To do this, I selected Top Level Folder and then selected each topic whose Help icon is white (i.e. not in the TOC) and clicked the right-pointing arrow to move it to the Content pane.
However, to make me happy on a Friday afternoon: "Internal error encountered. Failed to generate Printed Documentation".
I tried generating again, and now RH appears to be stuck on "Updating images". This happened the other day, too, and I waited 10 minutes before understanding that RH would stay stuck forever and would never even crash .
Here's what I think will resolve this particular issue. I'll put the renegade topics in the Default TOC so that hyperlinks to them will be active. This is not a problem for my end users because I don't generate their output from the Default TOC -- my project has five other TOCs that are used to generate WebHelp Pro. I only use the Default TOC to:
Edit topics in any module without having to open each individual TOC
Generate a "Test ALL" SSL that contains everything, so that I can search more easily across modules
Generate PrintedDoc for reviewers
Hope this information is useful to anyone who encounters this type of problem.

URL and Hostname of an entry in SLD do not show FQDN - ??

All systems in our SLD look like that - they do not show fully qualified domain names for URL and Host. And I don't mean in the display of the hyperlink only, because the link target itself does not use FQDN either.
anyone know where SLD pulls the URL and Host info from??

I found the answer myself. The popup help wasn't working on my system because of weirdness on my laptop. After I rebooted the help properly displayed the answer.
