Can I recharge my iPhone 5 directly from a power oulet in Peru where the line voltage is 220V without using a voltage converter?

I would like to have a go at this.
I am presently in Hong Kong. Just prior to this trip, I purchased an iP5. I have taken my iP4S to many countries and charged the phone by either using the USB connection to my laptop or by using Apple's World Travel Adaptor Kit.
Only after getting to HKG did I try to hook up my iP5 to the Apple travel adaptors and of course they do not fot and I do not have an adaptor that goes from 30 pin to the lightning cable.
So is it actually safe to take the original iP5 cable and charger and simply add an international plug adaptor that I am also using with my laptop? If so does that in fact mean that the iP5 can take 220 without converting the voltage that I thought was done by the Apple Travel Adaptor Kit?

Look out for "japiohelp".
In short:
a) press Windows key + "R", enter "cmd", and press Ctrl+Shift+Enter (= runs as admin)
b) enter "netsh winsock reset" and pres enter
c) reboot the computer

I have lots of .MOV files on my iPhone5 that I need to transfer to my PC. Using QuickTime Player 7.7.4 I am unable to view them once they have been copied to a hard drive or directly from the iPhone via USB. 1% of the time a vid is viewable

I can tranfer them to a hard drive on my PC, but am unable to view most of them using QuickTime Player 7.7.4. Doesn't matter if I'm viewing them via a USB connection to my iPhone5 or from a hard drive after the file has been copied via USB. 1% of the vids are viewable, 20% open with a black screen and audio only. The rest open with a blue, purple and green stryrated mess and no audio. Yes its a Quick Time problem I know but where do I post this question in the community? Also searching my drives for other .MOV files downloaded from the net I find the same problem with them.

Heres what I don't like about VLC, but at least the files are viewable...somewhat.
1. You can't flip the image 90degrees, needs to have a rotate feature for sure. This needs to have keyboard shortcut so vids can be rotated easily as one may have shot video horizontally and vertically in the same take.
2. Opens file to a very large window, most of it off the screen, it should REMEMBER what you resized it to, so the next time a video is played you don't have to drag the window back on the screen so you can get to the resizing handle in the lower corner.
3. Doesn't buffer while playing, so the movies are extremely erractic, starting and stopping every 3 seconds, highly annoying.
OK so maybe my PC is too slow, its a dual processor 486 Hyperrthread 2.8G but I only have 2Gigs of memory, however, bettery than 50% of the memory is still available while playing a vid (memory is checked every 4 seconds with a program), but I have 90-100% CPU useage going on while playing.
Maybe I should think about a new computer.

I downloaded applications from the Net, and installed them. After that I tried to copy those files to save for back-up. But I don't know where those files are. The looks like those files should be in "My Stuff", but failed to located them. I checked the usage, and definately those files are taking some spaces in my phone.
FYI, I'm in USA with E71x.

When you download and install applications, for Symbian/S60 applications, the original installation file is not retained.
For Java applications, the .jar file is copied to a private (hidden) directory in phone memory or memory card (depending on where you installed the app).

If you click on the column headings in iTunes it will sort the tracks by the column you have selected.
Try clicking on the Album column, this should then put the tracks in the right order. You probably have the Track column selected which will keep the tracks in alphabetical order by Track name.

To delete and recover your space, Restore the iPod to Factory settings, hopefully your iPod Hardisk is still in good Condition to be restored.

Why can I only see iCloud email from the last 4 months? Where have all my old emails gone?

I have been a MobileMe member since it started and pay for increased storage - which I am no where near utilising - how can I retrieve the 'missing' old emails? You might want to go to icloud.com and open your calendar, then click the gear icon and choose Preferences, then make sure you aren't hiding old events on the Advanced tab.

How can I get back deleted contacts from iCloud?

If both phones were syncing contacts with the same account, that's normal. iCloud syncs changes on one devices to all other devices sharing the account.

Well, you can't restore an iPhone 5 backup to an iPhone 3G, so there is nothing you can transfer except for contacts, calendars, apps & music...all of which you'll have to sync to your iPhone 3G.
Note: No apps that require an iOS higher than iOS 4.2.1 will sync to your 3G.
