I am trying to download a TV episode and am continually getting an error 8008 message about half way through and the show then stops downloading

I am trying to download a TV episode and I am continally getting an error 8008 message and the download stops in the middle of the show. Can anyone tell me what 8008 is? and what can it do to fix it?

I am having this same issue. It is happening with ALL downloads now, including the software update for iPhone and several television episodes.
Note: I have already deleted the contents of the "downloads" sub-folder in the iTunes folder and temporarily de-activated virus protection.
Anyone have any ideas on how to combat this error=8008 "part of the file may be corrupted" message?

I'd report the problem to the iTunes Store.
Log in to the Store. Click on "Account" in your Quick Links. When you're in your Account information screen, go down to Purchase History and click "See all".
Find the items that are not playing properly. If you can't see "Report a Problem" next to the entries, click the "Report a problem" button. Now click the "Report a Problem" links next to the items.
(Not entirely sure what happens after you click that link, but fingers crossed it should be relatively straightforward.)

I have tried to restore my contacts and company data at least 20 times and every time half way through THE iPAD REBOOTS! When it boots back up it is at the brand new iPad screen.
This makes me angry as I do not use the iPad for fun and games. I use it for business. My company data and records for the last year are gone. ALL of my out standing customer invoices are gone. ALL payments received are gone! ALL Business contacts and emails ARE GONE! All my company, personal email accounts and settings ARE GONE!
What am I supposed to do now? In 6 hours I have to get on the road and conduct business with a empty blank factory out of the box iPad. How am I supposed to know who owes me money or who has paid their bills Apple? All of my meetings and calendar dates are GONE!

Yes! I have done everything. Rebooted computer, checked for updates, Hard booted iPad, Factory restored iPad to ios 5 twice, tried every usb port I have, unplugged all other usb components.
Everytime half way through "Restoring iPad from backup..." The iPad turns off shows a spinning circle then shows the Apple logo and takes me to the brand new iPad setup screen.

Check the console app to see if there are any error messages. I had one app showing an issue (Pet Hotel) the error was (truncated):

I manually snyc'ed that particular app and then re-ran the restore and am now the proud owner of a working iphone. Not sure it is the same problem or app but looking in the console was the key!

Disable anti virus software and try turning off the Firewall in System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Firewall.

I have reset an Ipod 4g, and everytime I try to install ios 6.0, half way through is says failed. Can anyone help me please? I have tried 5 times... :(

I recently purchased an Ipod 4G from a family friend. When I set up my account, I originally was going to keep some of the items on it but found they were not appropriate for my 10 yr old. So I reset the IPOD erasing everything and started new. After numerous attempts, I have not been successful, at installing ios 6.0. About half way through the process it says, download failed.
Is there a trick to doing this, or is something wrong? Please help.

Assuming you are doing it by connecting the iPod to your computer and restoring via iTunes, at what stage of the process (what is listed in the status bar of iTunes) when it fails?

Here are a couple of things that you can try.
Make sure that you do not have a stalled download in iTunes - a song or podcast .... if you have a download in there that did not finish, complete that one first. Only one thing can download at a time on the iPad so that could be what is causing the problem.
If that doesn't work - sign out of your account, restart the iPad and then sign in again.
Settings>Store>Apple ID. Tap your ID and sign out. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Go back to Settings>Store>Sign in and then try to update again.

They downloaded into seperate files but when I double click the .exe file for the 7z it works fine, however with the other file i recieve a message that "The file archive part of adobe Photoshop 11 is missing. You need all parts in the same file to extract Adobe Photoshop 11. Please download all parts." It looks like the download should be fine, I never recieved an error and I've now downloaded it twice (it takes forever) and neither will work. I am running Windows 8 and I'm wondering if there might be a conflict somehow?

This happened just today with the only two videos I downloaded from iTunes. They seemed to stop working after I synced my itouch, but I don't know how that would have caused the problem... Both videos will play about 2 minutes on the itouch, then stop.

Error 7 (Windows error 193) was received when I just tried to update iTunes on my Windows 7 computer. I've uninstalled and tried twice to reinstall and I get the same message. Does anyone have any additional suggestions? During install I do get a message about the mobile device but I do not have iTunes on my mobile phone.

Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)
Bonjour
Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.

Duces ex. stopped downloading half way through and now it wont restart.

i was downloading this game. i walked away for a while and when i came back it ahd stopped downloading and it was not installed. in the app store under purchases, i clicked the install button. it tried to restart the download, but afer a minuet or so i get a popu[ telling me that the app failed to download. whats the deal how do i get this download to finish?
