I am having trouble redeeming my iTunes card on the App Store. It always times out when I enter the code. But when I try to enter the redeem code in the iTunes Store, an error code comes up (5002) What does that mean?

I am having trouble redeeming my iTunes card on the Mac App Store....A message comes up and says, "your session has expired. Try again." I try again and it's the same message. For some reason the password I always use is not recognized for my account... and since I can't get anyone from itunes without a proper log-in I'm at the mercy of all of you more versed in tech and itunes than I. It should keep asking for the password, because it's trying to check for purchases... As soon as you login, it will see you have pending downloads and create the downloads section on the left below Purchases under the Store section. Then it will start the music downloads there, as they will be listed one below the other.
You could just try to check your account balance or view your account and that will trigger a password request too. You can just click on that and say that now iTunes keeps asking for the password and ask him to help you with that. Trick would be to interrupt him so that he carries on with another task after, so he doesn't notice the download. Or you carry on with email or browsing which you were "busy" with when iTunes interrupted you for the password (stupid iTunes)

Try this,
Close your iTunes,
Go to command Prompt -
(Win 7/Vista) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES, right mouse click "Command Prompt", choose "Run as Administrator".
(Win XP SP2 & above) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES/Command Prompt
In the "Command Prompt" screen, type in
netsh winsock reset
Hit "ENTER" key
Restart your computer.
Now launch your iTunes and see if it is working now.

I have not been able to get onto itunes to check my account or purchase anything for about a year now. Got an Alienware system with latest Windows. When I pull up itunes I can access my old music but cannot access my account to purchase anything new. Just reinstalled itunes and it still does not work. I am ready to just quit. Anyone else having this issue? Solutions?

If this is an Alienware system, the most likely culprit is the Bigfoot Networks LSP as per the following document:
Apple software on Windows: May see performance issues and blank iTunes Store
Head to the Downloads and Drivers page at Dell for your particular model of Alienware. Look for available updates for your BigFoot networking device. If you update those drivers, does that give you back your Store access?

Sorry, but you can't, unless you have a US-issued credit card, or have a legal residence in the US and so have a valid mailing address and purchase an iTunes Music card. The record companies and other content owners will not allow Apple to sell cross-border, so Apple has to have such restrictions on who can open an account in a given country's store.

The movie would be in your iTunes library, in the Movies application. However, if the rental period has expired, you may need to contact the iTunes Store Support about your situation:

I am confused. Do you mean you found the music, not the tones, or you can't find either?
If the former, then this is normal. You can't redownload tones from the Cloud.

The banner in the iTunes store advertised the godfather TRILOGY for 9.99. I purchased and only got one movie. WHAT GIVES?? Why advertise a deal on the trilogy, then not deliver?

The same thing happened to me. I purchased the Trilogy but it only downloaded the first movie.
Also i looked at my accounts "purchased items list" and it didn't show that i purchased anything.
When i went back to the store to look at the trilogy order page, it didn't say that i purchased it.
It just had the "buy" button.
I will wait a few days to see if i get an email from the iTunes store to see if Apple finds out that
they made a mistake. If i don't get an email, i will have to email iTunes support to see if it can

Everyone was given the album. It was a gift from U2 and Apple. You can go to purchases and download it to your device.
