I bought a macbook pro a month ago and didnt know there was a better/newer model (macbook pro retina) - can I upgrade/take back my macbook and get the new one?
When they told me about it I just thought it had a better display and decided it didn't bother me if the resolution was better, not knowing that it was thinner, has a HDMI connection, etc.
I bought my macbook pro 13 inch exactly a month ago tomorrow. If I go back and tell them this will I be able to upgrade my laptop? I paid more than $1300 or something for this one, I'd be willing to pay up to the price of the retina model, do you think I'd be able to do this?

Absolutely, like I say personal Choice. I believe from remarks in here that the SSD boots up on Mavericks in something like 10 seconds whereas mine takes even longer to boot than in Mountain Lion. But then we are advised to use sleep over boot as much as possible. My problem is I have 300GB of stuff and getting bigger, and when I bought mine the biggest SSD was 250 I think. For me the choice of replaceable RAM vs soldered-in RAM was a clincher.

This issue can be caused by a corrupt local snapshot index. The procedure below will temporarily disable local snapshots and force the index to be rebuilt.
Launch the Terminal application in any of the following ways:

I couldn't find the edit button on my original post so I am posting an update here.
I have gone through more apps and have had good luck on all but one more. And it's not that the app doesn't work, I am talking about the Yahoo Weather app, It works fine, but when you swipe between cities the screen lags a bit and it sometimes doesn't move between pages the way it should. On iOS 7.1.2 it was smooth as butter but on iOS 8.0, not so much. I will post a note in the app store to let them know. I really like the Yahoo app better than the new stock app.
I have been going through my games and they all work fine. Angry Birds (Original and Stella), Canabalt, Minecraft, Bejeweled 2, Silly Walks, PopWords, Doodle Jump, Deep Green all seem to work just fine.
Starbucks app works as it should.
I will stop back again next week after I have had the weekend to play with it in detail and post my thoughts again. -

Sure. You can pay for an out of warranty replacement ( or if you have applecare plus, you can pay the deductible - Which is less than the OOW replacement fee.

I bought an Ipad a few months ago and now it doesn't work
I bought an Ipad 3 a couple of months ago and it suddenly started to glitch one day. Every time I'd put the pass code in an it would unlocked the screen would go black. I tried to restart it and tried recovery mode and it didn't work. Sometimes when I turn it back on the screen goes blue. It seems that every time I move the Ipad with the screen lit up it turns black with a slight move. What could I do? Should I ship it to apple? How much would it cost to get it fixed? Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. I have a problem with authorized service in İstanbul/Turkey. 6 months ago i had bought 6th generation nano in US. I checked the warranty but it is not expired yet. It has 1 year international warranty. My 6th Nano's screen doesn't work so i can not use it. When i bring my 6th nano to the authorized service in istanbul they didn't take it without receipt. Furthermore they said to me that i had to buy the Nano 6th in Turkey in order to make it repaired in Turkey. What should i do in this case? do i have any possibility to complain the service provider in istanbul to the Apple UK or Apple US?

Firefox keeps openining with old tabls I saved and closed a LONG time ago and not the recent ones.
Is there a way to clear the tab history, obiviously it's remembering the tabs I saved and closed from a long time ago and it defaults to this sometimes, for some reason, even when I say save and close on the ones I'm on.
This can be a problem with the file [http://kb.mozillazine.org/sessionstore.js sessionstore.js] and sessionstore.bak in the [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox Profile Folder]
Delete [http://kb.mozillazine.org/sessionstore.js sessionstore.js] and sessionstore.bak in the [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox Profile Folder]
If you see files sessionstore-##.js with a number in the left part of the name like sessionstore-1.js then delete those as well.

It's really frustrating cause I'm a graphic designer, and this is afecting my work so much, I recently changed to mac, because "it's so much better" but now i'm starting to think otherwise.

It's not even a month old, but as soon as I turn it on, the fan turns right on and my computer sounds like it is going to explode. It also gets very warm. Any ideas?
check to see what you have loading in your login items. delete the ones you don't need.
open activity monitor, and under all processes, see what's using most of your cpu resources. highlight the ones using the highest % cpu and hit quit process.
see if the sorts it out for you. -

I have had the same problem. Between 8-10 minutes into a call the phone freezes and drops the call. I cannot do ANYTHING for about 45 seconds while it says CALL ENDING. I cannot use the phone at all and if anyone tries to call me it goes straight to VM. I am on my 3rd iPhone 5 now due to this issue and another issue of a bad speaker. I have restored, restarted, spent hours setting it up as a brand new phone all for not. It still drops the call and freezes. Makes me so mad.

Not sure where you heard that, but it's wrong. Apple doesn't cover lost phones under any circumstances, just like an auto manufacturer doesn't repeal your car if it's stolen. That's what insurance is for. Your carrier may have an option if you signed up for insurance through them. Or your credit card company, or your homeowner's/renter's insurance might.
But not Apple.
