  • I bought a Mac and transferred my music from iTunes on old computer to new mac- now some songs are only partly on- song stops before finishing song...whats up?

My itunes on my mac and a lot (not all) of the songs that I transferred are not in complete...it shows the correct time of song but goes to next song after a certain amount of time...I have found at least 20 but know there are more as I havent checked every song...

Yes, and because of the number of comments I see about this I will say this seems to be a bug with recent iTunes.  Apart from rebuilding the library from ground up I don't know of a sure cure for it.  Are you running the newest version of iTunes?

Not easy if vital information is missing. Sometimes it seems like people are using the internet the first time...
    What version of Indesign?
What OS? "Rights" sounds like Windows
What is happening when starting it?
If Windows, where was it installed?
If Windows, do you have admin permissions?

Depending upon what country that you are in (music can't be re-downloaded in all countries) then try deleting the incomplete tracks from your iTunes library and redownload them via the Purchased link under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page on your computer's iTunes : re-downloading.
If you aren't in a country where you can re-download music or if they re-download in the same state then try the 'report a problem' link from your purchase history : log into your account on your computer's iTunes via Store > View My Account and you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it ; click on that and you should see a list of your purchases ; find that album and use the 'Report a Problem' link.

  • Okay, let's say you bought an album and there are a few songs on there where you only have half the song(the song just stops after a number of minutes/seconds). What do you do, and can you re-download these songs?

I just bought an imac in september 2012.  And i just find out that my microphone is not working.  So i did an apple hardware test and with no problems found?  I have sound but no one can hear me, not even the computer.  Should i bring it back to the store

Before you go through that trouble open About this Mac > More Info... > System Report > Audio and see if the system actually knows it has a microphone.  Then you can look into Applications > Utilities >  Audio MIDI Setup and see if the microphone is there, select it and make sure the sliders are set to full. Then in System Preferences look for Sound > Input and make sure it shows up there and the sliders are at least half way up. If none of that works do a
    SMC RESET
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3964
    Shut down the computer.
Unplug the computer's power cord and ALL peripherals.
    Wait 15 seconds.
    Attach the computers power cable.
Wait another 5 seconds and press the power button to turn on the computer.
It is the 5 second timing that initiates the reset.
then go through the process of looking for the microphone again as the reset may reenable the mic.

  • I bought an album and it took my money but didn't download

i redeemed a gift card and it took it, so i bought an album and it took my money but it didn't download, now i can't get my money back and i don't have the album, what do i do?

Does it show in the Purchased tab in the iTunes store app on your phone for downloading - or if using your computer's iTunes does the Store > Check For Available Downloads menu option download it, or does it show in the Purchased link under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store homepage for downloading ?

    Hello pjmelli921,
You have to locate the album in itunes. Highlight each track, hold the ctrl button and left click each one.
Do a right-click on the highlighted blue, select get info, say yes to editing multiple tracks.
Hit the options tab, change "part of a compliation" to yes, select ok on the bottom right.
Resync ipod. This should fix it on your ipod after the resync.
    Hope this helps.

  • HT201272 I bought an album and several songs did not download

Bought an album and several songs did not download, yet itunes shows they did. I have searched for them but I cannot for the life of me figure out where they could have downloaded to. Tried to see if a way to re download them, but I haven't found it yet.

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
You can re-download content purchased from the iTunes store (availability varies depending on location) using the purchased option from the Quick Links section in the top right corner of the iTunes homepage in your iTunes application on your computer.
You can re-download content purchased from the iTunes store (availability varies depending on location) using the purchased option which is revealed in the iTunes app on your iOS device by tapping the more button at the bottom of the screen.
If the problem re-occurs, select the content which is causing a problem and use the 'Report a problem' button in Your Purchase History using your computer.

  • If I'm reading a book on the iPhone and I want to pick up where I left off on my iPad, do I have to search for what page I was on on the iPad or is there a way to sync it?

If I'm reading a book on the iPhone and I want to pick up where I left off on my iPad, do I have to search for what page I was on on the iPad or is there a way to sync it? Or do I just have to search for a string of text from my iPhone on my iPad?

On both devices go to Settings>iBooks>Sync Bookmarks>On. Then when you want to quit reading on one device, tap the bookmark in the upper right corner and it will turn red. That marks your place. Close the book on the device now by tapping on the Library button in the upper left corner of the app. That will put the closed book back on the shelf. Tap the home button.
On the other device, when you tap on the book, it should open to that page. You have to be connected to WiFi in order for this to work. You can read this older discussion for more information. I was involved in that as well.

No one would know what Apple is working on, unless they announce, which they very rarely do.
Have you tried the basics from the manual?
    restart.
    reset.
    restore.

  • HT1725 can I delete an album from my computer and re-download from my purchases? I bought an album and some of the songs only play partof the way through and some won't play at all. One of them says this computer is not authorized to play this trac.

can I delete an album from my computer and re-download from my purchases? I bought an album and some of the songs only play partof the way through and some won't play at all. One of them says this computer is not authorized to play this trac.

Assuming you are in a region where you are allowed to redownload your past music purchases, delete the broken tracks only from your iTunes library, go to the iTunes Store home page, click the Purchased link from the Quick Links section in the right-hand column, then select Music and Not on this computer. You should find download links for your tracks there.
If you don't see them straight away it may help to restart iTunes. While downloading select Downloads in the left-hand column and make sure Allow Simultaneous Downloads is unticked.
If the problem persists, or that facility is not yet available in your region, contact the iTunes Store support staff through the report a problem links in your account history, or via Contact Support.

  • HT1849 I've bought an album and saw afterward that there was a collection...

I've bought an album and saw afterward that there was a collection with that album in it.. Can I get discount for the collection? Since I already own and entire album form that collection.

Not unless there is something mentioned on the collection's page in the store, which is probably doubtful. You could try contacting iTunes Support and see if they will refund or credit you so that you can purchase the collection, but purchases are considered final : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption

  • I bought an album and it didn't show up in my library

bought an album and it shows up everywhere but my library, how do i get it there?

Don't keep doing the same thing over and over. Wait a bit and see if it shows up in an hour or two. If not, cancel the transaction either with Apple or with your credit card company. They have people that get paid to take care of that stuff for you. You just have to monitor the statement. Best wishes. CellSpotter.
