I can recieve pictures but can't send them? Why?

Why can I receive pictures but not send them?

Did you read the owners manual on how to send them?
Maybe the photos are too large to send via text/MMS in which case you have to reduce the pixel density and try sending them again. Some devices have settings in the camera to take photos as low, medium and high resolution. Set it at lowest then try to send them again.
How are you trying to send them? Via long press in the messaging app? Or through the gallery via "send to"?
Read your manual. Also make sure cellular data is set to on.
Good Luck

Help! I can receive emails but I cannot send them. I have recently changed my password. What am I doing wrong?

You need to open Mail>Preferences>Accounts>"Account Information" tab>and there input the required information for your Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP).  Your Internet Service Provider will have the required information to give you to input here.  Make sure that you also click at the end of the line "Outgoing Mail Server" on the arrows to get the dropdown list, and there click on "Edit SMTP Server List" and fill in the data in that resulting window also.

Go to Mail>Preferences. Select the account that you cannot send e-mails. What does the line item, "Outgoing Mail Server" say? If none is selected, select one that best associated with the account.

  • Can view picture, but can't hear sound on imovie '09 imports

    Hi, gang.
When I import video into imovie '09, I can see picture but cannot hear the sound.
The imported footage, however, is fine: both picture and sound are present on my hard drive after the import.
When I use imovie HD (which i still keep around) I can picture and hear sound as I import.
This more annoying than anything else, as, I still have the downloaded footage I need. Still, this is still abnormal behavior for this version, is it not?
    Thanks much.
    Regards,
    HV

This is working as designed. iMovie 09 will import a lot of formats that iMovie 06 would not. iMovie 6 would only import in "real time". iMovie 09 also imports formats like high definition AVCHD, MPEG2, and h.264 that can import faster than real time or slower than real time, depending on the speed of your processor. Audio on import for these new formats makes no sense. So it appears Apple decided not to do audio on any.

  • Can recieve mail but i cant send it

i have aol and my college mail set up and synced together perfectly. i can recieve mail for both and i am very happy with it. the only problem is that i can not send mail. when i do it says INCORRECT DOMAIN IN MAIL/RCPT COMMAND. im not exactly sure what i have to set up for the mai preferences. i've tried placing authentication to none and on password but nothing works. i would appreciate any help.
    thanks

Well, I don't think you're going to be able to solve this problem if you don't know what the outgoing server settings should be, and in the case of your college account, there is no way for me to know either.
Instructions for setting up an AOL account in Mail can be found here:
    http://members.aol.com/adamkb/aol/mailfaq/imap/applemail.html
The instructions are for Mail 1.3, but they can be used for Mail 2.x as well, noting that the Special Mailboxes preference pane is called Mailbox Behaviors in Mail 2.x.

  • Can see pictures, but can't open any of them

i can see the thumbnails of all my pictures, but when i click on them, they won't open. i get an error message that says that the file may be corrupt or a file type not recognized. when i double click on a picture, it tries to open it, but it never gets it open - it just thinks about it. i would think I may have deleted the photos, but when i get the info for the picture, it still looks like it is there. when i copy the picture to my desktop, it says that it is 0 kb.
is there a way to open any of these files?

when i copy the picture to my desktop, it says that it is 0 kb.
These files are damaged or corrupted. Time to restore from your back up.

  • N73 Live Mail. I can recieve email but can't send!...

I have an N73me. I have unlimited data usage with my contract so got Windows Live Messenger for my phone, which works great. However although I have a live mail, mail box when i go to send email it asks to define a mail box?! Any thought?

I would that that your smtp settings are set up wrong
I would verify them 1 by 1 against the setup guide from the mail provider
if they were the same I would suspect that your phone company are blocking the ports
required by smtp in which case I would take contact to them and ask why

  • I'm in a group message with 12 people. All are iPhone users, except for the token Galaxy user. I can receive messages, but I cannot send them. How can I fix this?

    Title says it all

    Hey kenth93939!
Here is an article for you about group messages that has some helpful information and troubleshooting tips for this issue:
    iOS: Understanding group messaging
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5760
The Group Messaging setting applies only to MMS messages.
Your wireless carrier may restrict the maximum number of recipients allowed in a group message with MMS.
Disabling Group Messaging has no effect on iMessage behavior. Responses to group iMessages are always sent to all recipients.
Group messaging with MMS requires an appropriate plan from your carrier for use on iPhone.
Carrier messaging rates may apply when using group messaging with MMS.
    Additional Information
It is not possible to remove yourself from a group message.
To add or remove recipients, you must create a new group message conversation.
If you experience an issue with iMessage, SMS, or MMS messaging, try the steps outlined in this article.
To learn more about SMS, MMS, and iMessage see iOS: Using Messages.

  • A strange one-can recieve email, but not send

Okay, I have a powerbook G4 with an airport (graphite) and a siemens wireless gateway/modem provided by T**us
my mom's ISP. She can get on the internet okay (providing the signal doesn't get dropped, which it does) and downloads are fine, and she can recieve email, but not send. I have tried changing the smtp port to 587 from 25. Nothing from the activity monitor and no "whoosh". I have also tried setting up a new account (pop3) which the connection
doctor says is okay for sending and recieving. Any suggestions before I spend an hour or so with T**us' tech support
which for Macs isn't that good--frankly, I think the airport needs to be out of the picture---maybe it's fighting with the gateway???
    John B

Hi John: Did you get the "Send" issue figured out with your computer? If not, here are some things to check out. It sounds like you are using Telus. If so the settings for incoming and outgoing servers is as follows: Incoming > "pop.telus.net" Outgoing > "smtp.telus.net". Server port is 25, with no SSL enabled.
    Good Luck
