I can't open Whatsapp after iOS 5 upgrade.

Hello,
I need some help. I updated my iPod Touch 4g to iOS 5 and after I installed Whatsapp using iPhone Configuration Utility, I can't open Whatsapp.
When I tap on the icon it opens and closes immediatly. I really dont know what to do, it worked on iOS 4 so I'm really confused!

- Reset your iPod. Nothing will be lost.
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Download/install a new app.
Do not delete the app and redownload it from the App store. A year or sa ago the developer upated the app so it was no longer compatible with the iPod Touch. That also means that the old versinon you are using is not compatible with the iPOd Toucn unless the iPhone Configuration utility allows you to install the app on the iPod.

Can't sync audiobooks after IOS 5 upgrade.

After IOS 5 upgrade I am unable to Sync my iphone 4 either by WiFi or connected via USB.
Itunes becomes un responsive after "Determining tracks to sync". Have been able to sync only after disabling Audiobooks sync.
SO far have done the following.
- Changed the USB cable
- Re "Keep Library Origanized"
- Created new playlist with 1 audiobook.
Itunes crashes everytime.
Have been able to sync my ipad 2 & nano with no issues.
Anyone have any ideas before I toast my iphone & start from scratch?

Nothing syncs if I have sync audiobooks turned on.
First I didn't know what the problem was and I even wiped my iPhone and started from scrach (what a pain it was).
Nothing. No music, no Apps, no ringtones, no audiobooks.
I installed some apps via the app store, and some audiobooks with audible app.
But the rest still didn't work.
Then I clicked "Tranfer purchases from ...'s iPhone" on iTunes and some of my music and ringtones started to transfer to the iPhone!! Partially. I had to click it again to get the rest of the music and ringtones. But the audiobooks didn't transfer. Not even from a playlist.
After I unchecked Sync Audiobooks, I managed to get some apps transfered to the iPhone but they're still "Waiting" not "Loading." Every time I click on sync a little bit of the apps transfer, but then their status goes back to "loading."
My biggest problem is that I have non Audible audiobooks. These I don't know how to put in the iphone.

Can't open itunes after 7.7 upgrade

I can no longer open itunes after updating 7.7. Tried all normal tricks. Multiple reinstalls and restarts. I get "itunes has encountered a problem and needs to close" and asks if I want to send an error report to microsoft. I also tried downloading older versions of itunes (which worked fine before update) and get the same error message. Quicktime gets the same message too. I tried to uninstall that and a fatal error message came up and would not uninstall. Last but not least I had an "itunes helper has a problem ect." on a couple of my reinstalls. Read something about uninstalling boujour with no results.
Any fix or help would be appreciated. I'm not super computer guy...just so you know. Thanks

This sounds like your shortcut is still pointing to iTunes 7 (assuming you upgraded to version 8). Find the version 8 application and it should work.
The problem with the Mac version 8 is that it crashes consistently at startup, and the solution to that is ditching the new library files and reverting to the most recent version 7 library (copy from from the Previous iTunes Library directory and delete the date suffix).
There was a known issue with proxies settings in earlier versions of 7 that has apparently been reintroduced in version 8.
Way to go, Apple.

I used to be able to read pdf when my Iphone4 had ios 4.1. After 4.2 update, I can't read pdf attachment anymore. Any idea??

I'm glad I'm not the only one, at least now we can wait for a fix from apple about this, seems like there's always something wrong with each new update.

Can't create playlists after IOS 7 upgrade

Can't add playlists to my iPhone after upgrading to IOS 7 on my iPhone 4. What's going on? The upgrade to the iPhone is awful. It looks horrible and is harder to navigate.

Create the Playlist as mentioned above in the Music Icon.
Go into Itunes, get your lists of Songs.
Add the Songs to your Iphone.
In your Iphone, add the Songs manually (lame) to the "newly" created Playlist.
Once finished, select "done".
Then sync and you'll see your new Playlist in both the iPhone and in Itunes.
this works for me on my iPhone 4S.

My computer stoped working a while back and I had the harddrive replaced, now I can't open iphoto after importing it from time mashine. I still have the same OS X (10.6.8) on a Mac Book pro from 2009. I can't buy the new one, or update it, because my OS X is too old and after seeing all the problems with the new system I don't really want to install it. How do I make iphoto work again? When I try to open it, it just says it can't open because of a problem (no, really?).

Is there a crash report? Have you tried reinstalling it?
To re-install iPhoto
1. Put the iPhoto.app in the trash (Drag it from your Applications Folder to the trash)
2. Download it from the App Store to reinstall It's on your Purchases List* there.
For older versions that have been installed from Disk you'll need these additional steps:
2a: On 10.5: Go to HD/Library/Receipts and remove any pkg file there with iPhoto in the name.
2b: On 10.6: Those receipts may be found as follows: In the Finder use the Go menu and select Go To Folder. In the resulting window type
/var/db/receipts/
2c: on 10.7 or later they're at
/private/var/db/receipts
A Finder Window will open at that location and you can remove the iPhoto pkg files.
3. Re-install.
If you purchased an iLife Disk, then iPhoto is on it.
If iPhoto was installed on your Mac when you go it then it’s on the System Restore disks that came with your Mac. Insert the first one and opt to ‘Install Bundled Applications Only.
*Sometimes iPhoto is not visible on the Purchases List. it may be hidden. See this article for details on how to unhide it.

One question often asked: Will I lose my Photos if I reinstall?
iPhoto the application and the iPhoto Library are two different parts of the iPhoto programme. So, reinstalling the app should not affect the Library. BUT you should always have a back up before doing this kind of work. Always.

iPhoto is being updated
iPhoto can not be opened while it is being updated.
But problem is, that nothing idicate there is some iPhoto update.

Has Spotlight finished its indexing? Check in the upper right. If you get just the search field, it has, if it says its indexing, you have to wait before you can use anything.

Can't open iTunes after migrating my old powerbook to my new macbook pro. Get the error message: "The file iTunes Library cannot be read because it was created by a newer version of iTunes." Help!

Did you install the latest version of iTunes on the new PC? The usual reason for this is that you had a newer version on the old PC.
If you can't get it to work the simplest thing to do is to drag iTunes Library.itl and iTunes Music Library.xml from the iTunes folder to desktop.
Then start iTunes and use the following link to recreate your library.
