I changed the country from US to Mexico in my App Store Account. Now I can´t reinstall iLife apps onto my Macbook. When I try to download them, a message says that they are available in my purchased apps, but they don't appear under that menu. Please help

The issue is that you purchased the apps in the US app store, not in the Mexican App Store.
If you set your App Store back to US, then you should be able to access your purchases from teh US Store.

  • I have the Mac OSX and I accidentally erased iPhoto, how can I reinstall it?

I have the Mac OSX and I accidentally erased iPhoto, how can I reinstall it?

Either redownload it from the Mac App Store or reinstall it from your iLife DVD or if it came pre-installed you can reinstall from the original discs that came with the computer.

  • Can I Reinstall My OS X 10.8.3?

For some reason my MacBook Pro appears to be not working and functioning correctly. I think I have an issue which MacPorts is responsible for and I've exhausted my patience trying to resolve it. I would like to basically reinstall my entire MacBook Pro from scratch like the day I got it. Is is possible some how to simply just wipe the machine with a fresh copy of OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.3) which I currently am running? I've never installed OS X before and this was the installation that shipped with my MacBook Pro.
Is this possible? Do I need a CD or DVD or can I do it some other way? Somone advised me that I can shutdown my MacBook Pro after I upload all my important data to iCloud and just hold down the CMD + R key and it will allow me to re-install OS X 10.8.3 using a high speed Interconnect. I have both a wires and wireless connection available. Just not sure about the details / specifics for this process.
Anyone have any advice and or suggestions for me?

Not outdated at all. You never said what model year your mac is. There are millions of macs in use today that originally came with dvd discs. Just 2 years ago they still came with those discs.
No the dvds are not on a partition. If you have lion or mountain lion installed then your system has a recovery hd partition. But that is only for downloading that particular os x version from the internet. It does not contain the os or the ilife apps.
If a mac originally came with a older version of os x then lion or mountain lion then you need to original system discs to reinstall the ilife apps. Even if you upgraded  to one of the download only os x versions you still need to reinstall the ilife apps from the original system discs.

I understand your first statement, which does make sense. If it came with my purchase I should just have the authorization to download the application from the app store.
Your second statement is for the lack of words, out dated, because no Mac comes with DVD's anymore. I assume the Mac's nowhave a partition on the hard drive with use to be the DVD's.
Now returning to your first statement, which makes sense, I am not going to take the risk and do an earse and install and lose does essential applications that I need.
Thank you for the prompt response.

  • Iphoto won't open.  Reinstalled from iLife.  Little thing just spins and spins.  Any suggestions? disk and still nothing.

iPhoto won't open.  Little circle/wheel icon just keeps spinning.  Reinstalled from iLife disk, and still no luck.  Any suggestions?

What version of iPhoto? Assuming 09 or later:
    Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Rebuild iPhoto Library Database from automatic backup.
    If that fails:
    Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one. .

  • Can't reinstall IPhoto and IMovie after reinstallation of the operative system.

I made and reinstallation of the entire operative system of my Mac. But now having the MAc oS X Lion 10.7.5 I can't reinstall some apps as IPhoto and IMovie. They said I need the 10.9 version.
    How am I proceed?
    Thanks'

Download Mavericks from the Mac App Store, or install those applications from a DVD; iLife 11 DVDs are available from sources such as Amazon and eBay, and if your computer's incapable of running Mavericks, it'll have come with disks which can be used to install them.

  • Can't reinstall iMovie

I removed iMovie but can't reinstall it. When I try to reinstall it via the App Store I get a message that I need to look at the list of previously bought apps but when I do, iMovie is not in that list.
How can I solve this problem?
    Thanks!

I have the same problem as Jim, trying to reinstall iLife 04 with iTunes 4.7.1 installed. I followed the instructions for logging out, restarting computer while holding Shift key, etc. Still receive message that iLife cannot be installed because GarageBand, iTunes, etc. is running. What am I missing? Mike

  • How can I reinstall iphoto for OSX 10.5.8 I had to delete the application

How can I reinstall iphoto for OSX 10.5.8 I had to delete the application, and I can't find how to reinstall

If your computer came with iLife pre-installed, then you will find iPhoto on one of your original installer discs.
If you purchased iLife then you can restore it from the iLife DVD you received.

  • Reinstall Preloaded iLife Apps?

I just bought a brand new Retina 5K iMac.  I attempted to migrate all my apps over from my old computer, but my Adobe CC apps and Microsoft Office Suite didn't migrate, just all the junky odds and ends apps I've accumulated over the years.  So since I have to go through the hassle of manually installing my major apps, I think I'd like to start from scratch, reformat the hard drive, and reinstall Yosemite on a nice, clean drive.  But if I do that, will I be able to reinstall the iLife apps that came preloaded (iPhoto, Garage Band, iMovie, etc.)?

    Thanks for the response, Dah•veed.
Well, I'm logged into the App Store, and I see a list of the apps I've acquired through the App Store. But I don't see any way to "accept" the apps. There's a gray button to the far right of each app that reads either "Downloaded" (grayed out), "Open," "Install," "Update," or "Download." Can I assume I've somehow accepted these apps, and that they'd be available to be installed after I wipe the drive?

  • HELP !!! How can I safely uninstall iLife '08

I would like to remove my iLife'08 and go back to iLife6. What is the safest, and cleanest way to remove and start fresh with iPhoto 6 ?
    Terence:
If you read this I still have no transitions yet they show when I am in iPhoto 7.1. at overall settings icon. Then when I go to play and preview my slideshow, none work.

What is the safest, and cleanest way to remove and start fresh with iPhoto 6 ?
The same way you uninstall any other application -- find the various applications in a Finder window, and drag them to the trash. If you're planning to reinstall earlier iLife applications, you'll probably also need to go to the HD >Library >Receipts folder and remove the associated receipt files for the applications you removed. You'll also find some application support files that can go in HD >Library >Application Support.

Were these apps purchased from the Mac App Store? If so, open the Mac App Store (should be in the Doc).
Then go to the Purchases tab and install from there. You may need to click the Buy button, but once you do, it should remember that you have already paid.
If these apps were installed from a retail copy of iLife, you can reinstall from the DVD.

  • My iTunes library is missing since upgrade Lion 7.2.  I have it all backed up so that's not the issue. How can I reinstall it with all my hundreds of playlists intact or do I have to recreate each one upon reinstalling the backup copy? Thank you for help

Almost my iTunes library is missing since upgrade Lion 7.2. (the last 2.5 weeks worth of added music has transferred post-upgrade, none of whcih was bought from iTunes)
I have it all backed up so that's not the issue. How can I reinstall it with all my hundreds of playlists intact or do I have to recreate each playlist upon reinstalling the backup copy? This would save a HUGE amount of time and efforts. Thank you for your help!

    hi Limnos,
I do not mean the entire ITunes folder but, rather, the contents of the ITunes folder prior to September 29th.  (90% of the media is missing, along with all playlists)  The media that remains says it was added on 9/29 although I know most of it was added many months or even years earlier. There are no playlists listed at all, before or after 9/29.  (I know for certain that I added non-iTunes purchased songs on 10/6 although I had not created playlists for them)
I have my iTunes folder backed up on both an external drive as well as Time Machine.
I run iTunes off of an ITunes folder on my computer rather than from the external, if that's what you mean about how I have it set up.
Is it OK to drag the entire iTunes folder from the external drive onto my laptop's drive and see if that fixes it?
    Thank you for your help!

  • Upgraded to snow leopard, now browsing SLOW can I reinstall?

I wasn't having any real problems with Leopard, but when Chrome stopped updating flash for it, I decided what the heck, I'll upgrade (against my better judgement).
So, I ordered my Snow Leopard disk directly from apple.  Backed up my Mac with Carbonite. Then installed SL on my Mac.  At one point it hung up, but after I eventually decided to shut off the computer and restart it, everything appeared fine. I also ran all the updates so my safari is 5.1.7 and my SL is 10.6.8.
Here is my system info: (I  replaced the s/n with the ****)
    Model Name:          iMac
      Model Identifier:          iMac8,1
Processor Name:          Intel Core 2 Duo
      Processor Speed:          2.8 GHz
      Number Of Processors:          1
      Total Number Of Cores:          2
      L2 Cache:          6 MB
      Memory:          2 GB
      Bus Speed:          1.07 GHz
      Boot ROM Version:          IM81.00C1.B00
      SMC Version (system):          1.30f1
      Serial Number (system): ************
      Hardware UUID:          *************
Browsing has become horribly slow.  I'm always getting the beach ball, and it Chrome and Safari keep becoming nonresponsive.  I didn't realize I was supposed to do a REPAIR DISK BEFORE my upgrade.  I have run REPAIR DISK several times now. I heard that there were a handful of items that would repeatedly show up as needing to be repaired, even though they are actually ok, BUT I just ran a repair disk AGAIN and there must have been 150 line items to repair.  It said it would take 39 minutes. But it actually took about 15.
I realized that "rosetta" was not selected when I installed (but I don't run any windows programs anyway).  Also, once when I got hung up in Safari, I was in the Zynga gaming site and multiple windows started showing up telling me to run in 32 bit mode. I tried changing to 32 bit (even though it didn't seem to make sense because I'm not running anything that would require  32 bit) but it made no difference.  I've since returned it to 64.
So I'm wondering, Can I REINSTALL Snow Leopard?  Since I've done a repair disk again, can I just stick the disk in and try to install like normal? Do I have to back anything off?  I've had my Mac for years, but NEVER had any problems with it, and never had to upgrade so this is new to me.  (I was used to Microsoft before, that caused me problems CONSTANTLY, especially needing to upgrade constantly.
BTW, I don't have a LOT of different docs stored on my Mac, just a ton of pictures (which was my reason for needing to make sure it was all backed up).
Thanks for any help. I really appreciate it.  I would like to be able to browse without having to FORCE QUIT every 10 minutes.

I've done multiple safari resets.  I've also repaired permissions multiple times.  So here's what I've done. I did another disk permission repair, then put the snow leopard disk back in and ran the install again.  It acted a little odd, for example in the middle of the install the computer shut down and started up again on its own.  I just left it.  Then, it seemed to be stuck on 1 minute left for a solid 20 minutes, but eventually I got messages that it finished. Then, after doing a repair again I noticed safari was reset back to 4.0, so I ran all the other upgrades. Did repairs between each.
I also noticed that Flash player wasn't upgraded to current, so I did that.
So safari wants to take a while to open now when I click it.  I usually get a beach ball.  Also happening with Chrome.
I play 2 games on Zynga, and have since discovered that I can't play one of them (rubyblast) anymore because it the brower (doesn't matter if its firefox, chrome or safari) lags.
Is there some way for me to see how much memory these games require, and if that could be my problem?  I honestly don't know much about Mac memory.  I don't have many applications installed except for what came iwth my computer 4 years ago.  I do have a HUGE number of pictures on my mac though (and since iphoto duplicates those pictures, I have nearly double).
Am I missing something?  I didn't want to upgrade from Leopard because my Mac ran just fine. I only did so because Chrome dropped support for it.  I like using chrome occasionally.
If someone can help I'd appreciate it. I have 3 days left on a carbonite trial (which isn't enough time to restore my Mac if I need to) so I'd like to think I'm just missing a common thing.
