I cannot connect to the iTunes Store on my PC. I am running Windows 7. I have run the updates and the flushdown. I've run the repair download ... no results. Help!

iTunes still does not work properly. It will let me play the music, but it still won’t let me connect to the iTunes store. I did all of the updates, including the "repair missing files" and did a flush and everything comes back as just fine.
I’ve thought about totally uninstalling and reinstalling, but I don’t want to lose all the settings and configurations. Hopefully we can figure out what went wrong.
Last week, I was trying to download an app a couple of days ago and it seemed to get stuck. We had to do a “hard shutdown”to get the computer to shutoff and get out of the iTunes program. I don't know if that had anything to do with my problems. Hopefully any suggestions will help me get back into the iTunes Store. I miss my iTunes!!

    When you restore via iTunes iTunes will download the firmware(ipsw) file. It could be that the microwave damaged the iPod and iTunes does not know what it is.

    Try connecting to your Mac or PC and using iTunes to sync your iPhone. Disconnect your iPhone after syncing, make sure in Settings>iTunes&AppStore you have your Apple ID and password entered, and launch App Store and sign in. It should work now, but do not sign out from App Store. There seems to be a bug that prevents us from signing in again after signing out.

    I've been getting the same message for like an hour now.  Since everything was working fine a few hours ago, and nothing changed on my end before it stopped working, I'm guessing it's something on Apple's end.  They probably already know about it by now, and are hopefully working on fixing it, so there's probably not much we can do but wait for them to fix it.

    Close your iTunes,
    Go to command Prompt -
    (Win 7/Vista) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES, right mouse click "Command Prompt", choose "Run as Administrator".
    (Win XP SP2 n above) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES/Command Prompt
    In the "Command Prompt" screen, type in
    netsh winsock reset
    Hit "ENTER" key
    Restart your computer.
    If you do get a prompt after restart windows to remap LSP, just click NO.
    Now launch your iTunes and see if it is working now.
    If you are still having these type of problems after trying the winsock reset, refer to this article to identify which software in your system is inserting LSP:

    i have installed yosemite
    and i have tried the trouble shooting with the keychain edits etc but i dont see  them files
    ive also checked that i have the correct timezone
    i have tried the repair option (repair disk) etc and it still doesnt connect
    is there a way i can get the appstore to work, i did try to restore yosemite or do a reinstall but its downloading the entire software again and i dont have enough data for this be finished. what else can i try to get appstore running?
    im not sure if i have accidently deleted any files from the keychain certificates as i had wifi problems and i may have deleted a linked file...
    please advise

    Applecare Senior Advisor Txx Bxxx (I have his contact info in an email he just sent) just confirmed with me that the problem people are having with the App Store not loading is an apple issue with there servers, ITS NOT YOUR IPAD so don't go restoring it!   It's not happening to everyone however but they are looking into it, its really hit or miss.

    Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
    This works for some users. Not sure why.
    Go to Settings>General>Date and Time> Set Automatically>Off. Set the date ahead by about a year.Then see if you can connect to the store.

  • Cannot connect to Japanese iTunes Store on laptop

    So here's what happened. I recently gave my Windows 7 laptop to my friend because I was gifted a new laptop with Windows 8 (I know. Everyone hates it. Not much I can do about that.). Prior to doing so, I reformatted the HDD so that way he had a fresh OS on there. However, I forgot to back up my music I downloaded from iTunes. I have two iTunes accounts, one for the American store and the other for the Japanese. Since everything I downloaded on the former laptop is gone, I wanted to transfer whatever purchases I have left on my iPhone for music and apps from both stores on my new laptop. So I deauthorized my former laptop plus another computer so that way my new laptop was the only authorized PC for iTunes. Once I connected my iPhone (which still had iOS 6.1.3) to my laptop to sync, the following message popped up.
    - This computer is no longer authorized for apps that are installed on the iPhone "XXXX's iPhone". Would you like to authorize this computer for items purchased from the iTunes Store? If you do not authorize this computer, 2 apps, including "ANA", and their data will be deleted from this iPhone.
    Cancel                 Authorize     Don't Authorize -
    When I click "Authorize", then this error message pops up.
    - The iTunes Store is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later. -
    I've been getting that error message in iTunes since Thursday night on both my laptop and when I try to connect on my iPhone (while being disconnected from my laptop). However, I updated my iPhone early this afternoon to iOS 7 and I'm able to successfully connect to the Japanese iTunes Store through my iPhone. It's just through my laptop now that's the issue. I need to be able to sync the apps and the music I purchased from the Japanese version onto this new laptop of mine. Until that happens, I believe everything I purchased through the American and Japanese store is stuck on my phone. How can I resove this issue? Any suggestions how I can authorize it?     My issue was (and is, since it keeps re-appearing) with the US store. I have an account on the French store that has been working flawlessly.
    The issue seemingly being with cookies, you could try deleting the cookies possibly been used by iTunes.
    In addition to the YourUserName\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\iTunes\Cookies folder you can also try these :
    - Instead of only the "Roaming" folder within "AppData", also check within other folders (I have Local and LocalLow)
    - clear the Cookies folders in anything in "Apple Computer" or "Apple" and not only "Apple Computer/iTunes"
    - check the equivalent folders for other users of the computers, in "C:\Users\WhateverExistsHereonYourPC\" and not only"C:\Users\YourUserName\"

    Do other apps connect to the internet on the iPad ? If they do then have you tried logging out and back into the account on it (Settings > iTunes & App Store), disconnecting and reconnecting to your network, and/or tried a soft-reset ?

  • The items I have purchased in the itunes store are not showing up in my libray. A few are on my actual ipod touch, but not in the itunes library. Is there an easy fix to this or is it maybe something in the settings that I'm missing?

    It's just not making sense to me that it's a purchased item from the itunes store and it isn't appearing in their program.

    She can choose to either enable the setting on her iPod to Manually manage music and videos.  With setting enabled she can sync content to her iPod from multiple computers without it affecting whats already stored her iPod.     It should be on the Store drop-down menu at the top of iTunes (if you are using iTunes 11 on a PC then try pressing Alt-S and see if it appears) e.g. (screenshot is from iTunes on a Mac)

    As a matter of fact I sent a report about this issue to the apple support, they answered that it might be a problem in my computer, but I checked everything was working fine, besides a lot of people is receiving this message in their iphone/mac when trying to connect the app or itunes store, and nobody has an answer for that. Maybe we all have to wait for a system update :/
