I cannot receive payments from most customers. Please help.

Almost every time a customer sends me a payment it will tell them "We can't send your payments right now. If the problem continues please contact Customer Support." no matter if they try as family and friends or goods and services. I've called PayPal about it once but they assured me nothing was wrong with my account, which brings me here.  It's really weird because around 50% of the time it lets people send me money, but for a select few (which is starting to seem like the majority) it gives them that error message. And I know it's not a problem on their end, because I had them test send one of their friends a payment and it allows them to pretty much send to anyone but me. This happens with almost any amount of money, even $1, so I don't think the dollar amount is a factor.  I tried looking at my payment settings to see if I had it setup to block certain payments, but it isn't. So I really have no idea what is wrong. Please help me.

    If the  ➙ Force Quit method won't let you shutdown iPhoto try this command in the Terminal:
    killall iPhoto
    followed by the Return or Enter key
    It might take more than one go for it to take.
    Failing that close all other applications and hold the power button down until the computer shuts down.  Reboot and try iPhoto again.

    Your friends have to delete any old conversations they had started with you when you had an iPhone, and the new conversations should go out normally as text message.
    This assumes that you actually did disable iMessage prior to switching to Android.    You can confirm by asking anyone you know with an iPhone that doesn't have you as a contact to try sending you a text.

    I originally restored my phone after music and videos iTunes said had synced were not showing up on my phone - sorted that problem, now this.

    This may sound dumb, but if you can't send or receive any texts at all, someone in another thread mentioned shutting down, taking out the SIM card, reinserting, and rebooting.  If that doesn't work try putting the SIM in another phone then putting it back in the iPhone.  If it still doesn't work ask the provider for a new SIM.
    Also, I don't understand why iPhone doesn't allow MMS without data.  MMS was DESIGNED to be sent as a text message and it works on regular "dumb" phones with no data.  This is not new technology yet iPhone is purposely blocking it.  That is ridiculous.  You can see from the following table that this is what Apple wants:

    (As a side note, you can also see from the table they are intentionally blocking the ability to send a text to an email address even though that too is not a new feature, and that too works in other phones.)

    amyhs, thanks for those details. This is certainly quite odd that this has been going on so long and we definitely want to get to the bottom of this. Now, you stated that you have reached out to technical support and spoke with a tier two technical support representative. At this time, what actions or troubleshooting steps were taken? Are you aware if a ticket with our network technicians was ever created? As well, have you ever previously had an iPhone and are you aware if the users that are unable to message you are using iMessage?

According to Nokia, it should be able to (and they claimed they tested it themselves during my phone call with them). The bug report is FS#33348.     Substitute, in the KB, the appropriate instructions for your other device in place of the KB section for the sending device. Do not skip the "Receive Using BT" step on the receiving BB...nothing will transfer if you do.

    Lets take first issue first: Apple does not charge a customer to 'keep' iPad access. That does not happen at apple. If you were billed and charged that amount of money from someone you were speaking to over the phone, you were not talking with Apple support. If you need to speak with apple support you are free to call them at 800MYAPPLE and they will talk to you for no more money than 19.00/ support event.

On some server somwhere my AppleID still tells people they should send me iMessages. What is the solution to this issue? Deleting my AppleID would work to solve this issue, but I cannot ever delete the ID? What can Apple do for this?

    If you did not erase your apps and data before getting rid of your old phone, try using Find My Phone and erasing everything remotely. See if this works.

    If the shows are in fact still on the pad, they will be found in the videos app, not the music or I tunes app.  Look there and see if they are still there.
    If you don't see them there, go to the searchlight screen ( farthest left home page) and type in the name of one of the shows.  If it is on the pad, hiding somewhere, this will find it.
    If they are not there, they should not be using up space.
    To get them back onto your pad, plug in and sync again.  Make sure you transfer purchases first.   Before you sync, take a look at the video tab in your I tunes, and check what you want and don't want synced.

    It should be in the Videos App - if it's not in there then have you got a film age rating set in Settings > General > Resttrictions that is hiding it ?

  • Receiving payments from friends

    I created an account with the sole purpose of receiving payments from friends to pay me back when I make a payment on everyones behalf for a soccer club our kids are in.  I do not ever want to receive payments for goods or services on this new account.  Is there a way to block those kinds of payments to make sure my friends are selecting the correct way to pay me.  I've already received two payments that got fees taken out of them because my friends didnt follow all my instructions correctly.

    No you can't block them. Personally i would ask them to do a direct bank transfer using online banking direct to your bank account rather than using paypal.     *************************************** I give up my time to help you so a thank you or kudos would be cool.
