I cant believe I am debating going to a droid......

I have an iPhone, with software version 4.1 (8B117). Let me first say that I have had nearly every apple product EVER made since the company started, and I am so frustrated with issues on my phone that I am about to switch everything back to WINDOWS and a DROID. Problems with my phone:
1.) I purchased this phone fully functioning with sofware version 3, I shouldbe able to get back to that version! Updates installed should be able to be removed and restore the function that I BOUGHT.
2.) I can no longer doc my phone and play music on anything. My 2010 370Z, aftermarket Sony stereo, nothing. It plays on the Nissan about once every TEN tries. UNACCEPTABLE since it worked perfectly with the newest version 3 software.
3.) Everything runs slower and quits randomly. Every App, even SAFARI. Again, I should be able to go back to a version that worked. All apps are updated, everything should work fine, but doesnt.
Like I said, I did not use apple products all these years just to have Windows level issues with them. I'm sure I am not the first loyal Mac user to have this feeling. Your market segment is the professional who wishes and Pays For better equipment than a Dell or a Droid. Dont make me go to a Droid! I was about to get the new iphone, but not to just have these problems all over again.
However, my tech support call I just had was the BEST yet! Props to that guy, bc I have not experienced that level of help in a while. Truely perfect, thank you. I am hoping these issues can be resolved, but i wont hold my breath.

If you haven't already, try restoring as a new phone; do not restore from a backup. In a large percentage of these cases, restoring as a new phone cleans up these performance issues. You will of course need to have all your apps and content in iTunes so you can resync it after the restore.

Is the status light green?
Your Airport device may be in Bridge Mode.
Airport Utility 6:
Open Airport Utility, select the Airport Express and click Edit. Navigate to the Network tab and change Router Mode to DHCP and NAT. Then click Update on the bottom right.

I guess I spoke too soon! I really can't believe this nightmare is not over yet! My account is still wrong. The credit that I was due totaled $63.00 I am looking at a message on my phone saying that $21.01 was credited which makes my balance $219.72. I received a text the following day that says, I processed your credit of $30.00 and your new balance $216.73 how is that possible? None of the late fees were credited and the amount due for my monthly charges are wrong. Before any changes were made to my data plan back in Nov. My monthly charges were $140.00, I needed my hot spot back and i was told that the hot spot will increase my bill $10 for each phone that totals $20. The customer rep that change my data plan at that time also gave me a credit of $20 to compensate for the increase until I had time to talk with customer service about the mix-up with my Hot spot. I originally had the hot spot, but the rep that change my plan almost a year prior told me nothing was changing except I was getting more for less money. I explained to that rep that I need my hot spot 4 times a year...and I don't want my plan to have any changes. To verify what I'm telling u check my account and see that I called from Albany New York wanting to know where my hot spot was and I was told I didn't have the hot spot on my account since the last data change! I lost money once again due to the verizon rep's. so my current data plan the rep promised would increase $20 which makes my monthly charges that were $140 prior to the change $160 after the hot spot was returned to my account. Then I was given a $12 credit per month for 12 months because of so many mistakes made to my account so with that $12 credit my monthly charges should $148 + surcharges + taxes and that's not what I see. I do know this much right now my account is in such a shambles I can hardly see the light at the end if there is an end! I need real help!

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iPod fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.

If the app is no longer in the store then you won't be able to redownload it, and if you haven't got a copy of it anywhere (you don't have another iOS device which has it on ?), and if you haven't got a backup of the iPad on your computer's iTunes (if you haven't got a backup then you won't have the app's content), then you won't be able to get it and your passwords back.

It seems that fairness in merchandise sales is a thing of the past. That overchargeing and bait and switch is just pure common place anymore. I was at the Best Buy in Bristol Va. picking out a few things for a cumputer system that I was putting together. I was picking up a keyboard and a mouse. I had checked them out on line before I took the nearly 50 mile drive to the closest BB store in my area. I found the mouse I had wanted in store for $109.00 but had pointed out to the salesman that it is online for $99.00, he said no sweet, he would price match. Ok, I then asked him to look up the keyboard I was interested in. He did and we found it for the $210.00 price that I was expecting to see from BB. I said to him that I was interested in a laptop as well but had some concerns about the listing. See it said in the front page listing it had 2 gb of video memory, yet in the details it said it was backed by 4 gb of gddr5 dedicated video memory. This laptop is on sale for $1199.00. So I saked him which one was it? 2GB or 4GB? I was in the market to sell the one I had and upgrade to a new one. If I found one I liked. He looked it up, did some questioning to the rest of the people in the store and comes back with it has 4 gigs of SDDR5 dedicated memory. So I looked the specks over well, made a call right there in the store to a person who wanted to buy mine and made the deal to sell mine and told the salesman if it has 4 gb I wanted it, if it only has 2 I didnt that I would go with something elese. We ordered the keyboard and the laptop. at this time it is now closeing and the light are starting to go dim in the store. He says no problem we can still do it. Earlier before we checked on the computer I had asked what was the financing deals that was being offered on laptops and 2 salesmen told me 18 mo. which was the way I was going to make all this happen. It comes time to sign and I am hit with 12 mo no interest at signing. I ask wait I was not interested in 12 mo, I was doing the math on 18 mo. He reassured me that it would be 18 when the bill came in or I could go into my account and change it to 18 mo. I have never heard of this kind of thing. But Best Buy has alway, for the most of it been pretty straight with me in the past, So i signed. I went home thinking all was well, then at home I looked at the reciept to check why things seemed a little too high on the sum. But it seems you always feel that way till you look it over. However, I then see that the computer has cost me $1299.00, The keyboard has cost me $219.99, and the mouse has cost me $109.99. Every piece has been over charged. Ok, I call customer service and let them know about it the next day. They fix the computer but not the rest. Now about a week later I get a message it has arrived. since then I am looking up this laptop and I see that a lot of these are saying 2 gb of sddr5. So I travel the 50 miles to pick this up and when I do I ask them to check the system for the amount of video ram because I will not be happy with 2GB when the biggest reason I picked this one was for the 4GB of ram. I explain that it is 50 miles one way for me and i dont want to have to drive right back over to return it if I know I wont be happy with it first off over the missing vram. The tech comes back and says it has 2GB in it. I then say that I was told it had 4GB during the inital sale that in this case I did not want the system. He then says he must be checking the intell side of the graphics that he needed to check again. He then comes back reporting it does have 4 GB dedicated on the Nvidia card and shows me a screen print that shows total video memory 4096 mb. So I said I wanted it. They fixed the price on the keyboard and mouse reasured me I would get the 18 mo financing and I am on my way. Ok it seems like all is well now. I get home and I think I really like the system and I want to now see for myself the 4 GB. I bring up the screen and find the printout he showed me of 4096 mb total video memory. but just under it after you scroll down it says 2048 physical dedicated memory on the gtx 860 and 2048 shared memory. Wow this is killing me. Seriously? this guy just got through explaining to me how much school he has had for this job. Did he miss it? Did he just want to finalize the sale? what? I sleep on it. Do I keep it or not? I have sold mine to make this happen. But I have been through this same kind of thing with the last one I bought from you all and I didnt say anything. But this time I have went out of my way to make sure I was suposed to get the right amount. So I call them up and I ask to speak to someone who can make a desision on the matter. I like the computer and wouldnt mind to keep it but I have clearly paid for 4 GB of dedicated GDDR5 memory and have only recieved 2GB. I got with the one in charge and explained it all to him and told him what It was reading and where it was from and offered to do a screen capture of the system showing the statement on the memory. I also explained to him the drive I would have to make just to show it to him. His reply is he cant verify what I am telling him without seeing it that all records show that I have recieved a system with 4 GB of video and that I am mistaking, or maybe that you just cant see the extra 2GB of dedicated ram untill you really need it and I havent really needed it yet. What? I reassured him that I understood the differance in dedicated and shared memory and that there is a lot of software out that just tests these type of cards to let you know exactly what you have. All I was asking was something to be worked out on the price back to pay back for the memory I did not get yet clearly paid for, because he said himself there is 2 versions of this machine one with 2 GB and one with 4GB. If I was reading it right, that I must have got the wrong one. See for me now, I will have to travel back to the store @ 50 miles each way, return the system, then when the next one comes in go back over to get it for another 50 miles each way. another 200 miles over your mistake, not mine. Give me a break. I guess i will just return and buy from tiger direct. if they create a problem, they will pay for return shipping and fix it. Also I have contacted customer service again and they say there is no such place to change the financal agreement to 18 mo. Just what is going on with you all.

Hello Alex-BBy, Thank you for the rundown on the issue with the financing. I do understan that online you can look under the financing offers and find the info you referred to. I have been with you for many years. I love Best Buy and the way you have treated me in the past. I understand the way your banking system work very clearly. Its just that I was in your store and at least two people told me that it was 18 month no interest before I even made the order up. The extra 6 mo is why I went ahead and opted for the upgrade in the first place. I felt I could take the money I got for mine after selling it by phone and put with this one then devide that by at least 17 and get the sum I must pay to make my finances work. It was right at closing time so I really did not have the time to go through and second guess every detail that the salesmen were telling. I have never really had to do that with you in the past. I did not even think it t be nessasary. I went so far as to tell the salesman, when the signing came up 12 Mo instead of 18. That I would not do it at 12 Mo. See that changed everthing for me. I am on a very fixed income and for me little things like this matter. Useing your store and its offeres is why I can own nice electronics. And I do appreceate that. But he explained that this was common and they have been through it several times and I would be able to change it after my first statement came in. I really need to be able to trust your people in these matters. The last time I called them on the matter at the store, They still assured me that I would be able to make the change. I was hoping that was final. I guess not.
As for the answer I got from AWBrown, see the reply I sent him. I also have been back to the store las night, another 50 miles one way, just to power this up and show them that the system does not in fact have 4GB of dedicated Ram. Only 2GB. And I have to say I was somewhat confused by the speed in which the conflict turned from you got what you paid for, 4GB ram and we know it, to you knew you cant buy a 4 GB card laptop for the amount you paid for this. Which is not a accurate statment because you are selling others for this price with 3 GB. How would I know.
Again, I have sold my usual system just before I ordered this one in the store. While in the store. I now I was waiting for over a week for this o ne. Now my hands are kind of tied. I wasnt to happy with their fix of simple return and start over. They dont keep the kind of system I am interested in stock. So then we were looking at another week or so and then who knows what with that one, because as the top guy told me over there. You were looking at the overview, you cant go by the overviews. Yet the overviews is exactly what the sales people go by when they are finding you the system you want. And to that he agreed. I cant trust what your website says the product is and I cant trust what your salesmen tell me. This is very disapointing to me. I like in ta area that everyone here trust me to help with their computer problems. And more times then you would believe I hand walk them into one of your stores and help them pick out a laptop on the fly from the only place I would sudjest to do buissness with. I educate them on your financeing agreement so they can get what they want and help them apply for credit through you to get the deal. I do this at least three times a yr. This was how I was able to sell mine while in your store. Someone called me asking about one and I asked the salesman what the offers were and went through with it. All doing the math on 18 mo.
At first the only thing they would do for me was to refund and reorder. Would not consider all this has done to put me out mileage or anything. Said they would get all their money back with MSI. didnt seem to care about my losses. yet was sorry. Itwasnt till I said fine then send it to them and do me a refund and I would not re buy from them as they was sure I would. Even then they insisted on continueing to look for a MSI with four gig. I had to tell them they again wasnt listening to refund and we wer done. I wouldnt re-order with them. And then it was like a dark vail was lifted from the conversation, no longer did everthing I say just get a funny look like the words were in Greek, They suddenly seem to make since to them. He did some new actions and came back with the offer of $75. off for the missing ram, But that was the absolut best he could do. I said no I was tired of the treatment that it sould be at least 10% off. He then agreed to give me $100.00 off for the missing ram. Yes, now they even are argueing that it is a 2GB system and that is what it is suposed to be. I agreed to keep it at the adjusted price for the missing memory. But they could have easily have let me sent them a screenshot of the systhem showing the same thing it did in the store and saved me a nights travel, wear and tear and fuel, with dinner out. I had the same problem with mine it keep searching for service at least 2 times a day, I updated to 5.1 and it seems to fixed the problem, If you are not on 5.1 try updating.

Try a reset ..
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If that doesn't help, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings
If that doesn't help, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings
You may have to re enter your Wi-Fi password.
If nothing above helped, restart your router then try email.

Cant download any app. whats going on

My Apps will not open, I thought my phone was having issues so I reset the phone completely , in fact phone is in its original state. Now I am trying to downlaod my previous apps,its just impossible. Whats going on? IOS 4. 7.2

so can u please help me because my ipod is being stupid.So i reset all of the settings on it and i went to go turn it on and it started to tru on and then all of a sudden it got stuck on the apple logo and soi left it there for a night to see if it would go away and it didnt so i got a little scared because this is pretty new but i dont know what happend to it because i have done this reset the whole ipod and it worked fine but this time it is now frozen!! so if you could help that would be great thank you

hello kyra, one thing you can do is make sure you have it updated to the new version & also make sure you have the new update on iTunes. once that is done. restore the ipod. after that it should work. hope this helps.

Is anyone struggling to receive MMS on a 3gs sent on a 4S with IOS 6. I spoke to 02 today and apparently apple are working on a fix. I cant believe Apple didnt see this one coming or is it another cynical attempt to get everyone onto IOS6?

I dont know why it has to be so much complicated over the hover event in CSS skinning. It is not that I have not tried enough. I have extensively searched over the web, oracle forums and metalink but just can not find the reference to hover mechanism when links are inside an ADF components. In addition to this, lack of adequate documentation from Oracle puts extra strain on development timeline
Anyways, I will stop whining and describe the issue.
First, I tried using skinning to achieve a functionality when mouse hovers over a link, it should underline and when mouse leaves the link, the underlinke should disappear. THIS WORKS JUST FINE using conventional HTML/CSS pseudo classes but just wont work with ADF.
I tried using CSS pseudo selector :hover with .AFLinkForeground:alias component selector but it wont work
i.e.
.AFLinkForeground:alias:hover{text-decoration:underline;}
So, as a PLAN B, I gave up on the skinning and moved on to inline CSS within JSPX. I learned that css pseudo classes DO NOT work any deeper other than document. Hence, I should use OraLink instead. Below mentioend link describes this in detail.

If you cannot tell which version of JDeveloper you use, please check Help--> About. If it says 11 in teh beginning then you post the question here, if it says soemthing like 10.1.3 then you post it on the other forum. Note that for people answering your questions its always important to know the release context.

I cant believe apple hasnt pulled the iPod update 1.2 yet...

they need to. serious problems are happening to people's ipod. hopefully this update hasnt killed these people's ipods. so many people on the boards are having problems! doesnt SOMEBODY from apple read these things?! personally ive stuck to the 1.0 version ever since i got my 5th Gen ipod, and its always worked for me.

I have a windows Video IPOD 30Gig and so far have not had problems. However, my IPOD is in Disc enable mode. It appears that people who have problems do not have disc enable feature turned on. Could someone explain to me why they would NOT turn this feature on? Why not use your 80GIG IPOD as a very big flash drive?
Anyway, I am very pleased with the new features that 1.2 has. For example, I like the bigger movie size. In addition, I love the fact that they FINALLY made it so that when I say in ITUNES that a file is a TV SHOW, it actually shows up in the TV SHOW menu on my IPOD. Sheeesh, it took the Yahoo's at apple a long time to figure that one out.
