i have tried signing out of imessage and signing back in. (when i do that and am asked to select my email adress, i see my new number but it is greyed out and i cant select it)

But under send and receive, my old number is still displayed while my new number isn't.

What makes you think I can't use my phone in another country or with another sim. You obviously can't, but we are hardly going to talk about hacking an Apple phone on the Apple site. By the way mine is officially unlocked so can swap sims within seconds.

My ipod classic turns on with apple logo then shuts off about 30 seconds later, when plugged in my windows and itunes will not recognize it.

earlier my itunes told me that my files were corrupted and I needed to restore, so I did. In the middle of the restore I lost internet connection. Now my computer and Itunes will not recognize my Ipod and if it is not plugged in when I turn the Ipod on it only shows the apple logo then shuts off after 30 seconds. If it is plugged in it will charge, but Itunes and Windows will not recognize it. I have tried the menu + select shutoff multiple times with no change. All it will say while it is charging is do not disconnect.

The clicking sound is your iPod Hardisk, trying to retract and find the boot sector unsuccesfully.
Hopefully, you can do the iPod Disk Diagnostic as in this great post by tt2., it wont fix your problem, but let you know, how dire is your Hardisk health.
So only as a last resort, one way, to get the stuck Hardisk head free, is to bang the iPod on a rubber mouse pad, when you reset it, but do it at your own risk, some very lucky guys got it working again for the next 14 months, like myself.

Contacts are designed to be synced to a supported application on the computer or a cloud service.
Pictures taken with the device are designed to regularly be copied off the device to a computer as would be done with any digital camera.
If you have failed to use the device as designed it may be too late to recovery anything.
Is the device regularly backed up to a computer via iTunes? If so, the most recent backup (when restored to a replacement iOS device) should contain all contacts and pictures as of when the backup was created.

However now I have an update for factory installed software iPhoto and iMovie that is asking for the old ID. I have a shuffle. When I plug it into Itunes, it tells me that it has not been ejected properly, and it will not recognize the Ipod. I have turned off the computer, and tried this with another shuffle with the exact same results. Any ideas?

Do you remeber the exact (or close to it) wording of the error message?
Try manually placing the iPod in Recovery mode and then try to restore
Next try DFU mode.

You can also try another computer to help determine if you have an iPod or computer problem.

What "format" have you saved your finished resume in?
The only formats a Windows user will be able to open are .doc (Word), .pdf and rtf. The 1st 2 are usually the best.
There is no Windows version of Pages.

How can I have a program prompt a user to input a selected number of simultaneous (different devices run off com/rs232 ports) and be able to compile all the data and/or graph it simultaneously?

I have a project that I'm working on that I could use some help on.
Some background on it is I'm taking data from a balance via RS-232 (can be a selectable list of balances), and then communicating with them on their own separate COM port. I need these to then run in parallel to then take masses in regular increments and then output them to a graph and/or TDMS file.
What I'm trying to have is that a subVI prompts the user to how many simultaneous runs will be going.
Then I will want multiple pop prompts (one for each simultaneous run) which will have initial data input (data cluster) and then associate these with the COM port and the specified balance.
I initially thought of utilizing a For Loop this way but I can't get these windows to pop up multiple times while storing their own values in say a cluster array. Can anyone give me any ideas to get me a little further?

I've created a prompt for the user to select the number or runs to be run simultaneously.
This then should trigger the amount of prompts the user needs to input - ie VISA resource, and headers to label the "samples".
I want this to be done in multiples (somewhere around 1-10 simultaneous runs - bounded by the program) so that data points from multiple sources can be taken and graphed/saved to file. I just am having issues with the loop situation to be able to keep prompting the user X times and also output the data to the front panel. Originally i thought I could somehow manipulate a tab control container but I'm getting roadblocked.
Does that help you understand what I'm trying to do?

I just got an iPhone 4 and I'm trying to use it on the t mobile network. The thing is, I've tried restoring the phone so I could use it. I haven't tried my sim on other phones yet. But I will try to see if it works. The iPhone is supposedly factory unlocked btw. Anyways, when I put in my tmobile sim, it searches for the service, but it always ends up saying NO SERVICE. I checked that my network says that the "phone not allowed". So I don't have 3G on this phone I presume. I heard that you need 3G to have service is that correct? But how do I resolve it? The iPhone does know that my phone carrier is tmobile. It just says no service. And I've tried restoring it three times and turning it off and on and it won't work. If a phone is sold from one friend to another and wants to use it on a different carrier the friend can contact the carrier it was sold by to request it unlocked. I know AT&T, Verizon, and Sprint will give you the steps to unlock it as long as the original contract it was bought under has been completed. eBay/Craigslist is really not the best place to try to get "unlocked phones" from, if it turns out the phone isn't unlocked then I'm really sorry you got stuck with that one and as stevejobsfan said above I would report them immediately and see if you can recover your money. As I've already said to get this far: I have lost a lot of tracks while syncing my iPod Touch with iTunes. I have managed to get free downloads of some of the single tracks, but when I try to download entire albums the system informs me that I have already purchased them and a pop-up window informs me I can get them back from my "Purchased" file. I would not be trying to dowload them again if they were anywhere on the iPod, would I? The other problem seems to be that with single tracks I don't know before I hit the purchase button if I have picked it from the right album and I have had to pay for it again.
I feel that I have been totally ripped off by iTunes and, apart from ranting on this forum, I don't seem to be able to let my feelings known. It's like a guy from my local record store coming round and nicking my albums and telling me that it's tough!
The point here is folks, that it was syncing two Apple sites which caused the loss of these tracks and from what I've read elsewhere this is a regular fault. And please don't tell me that it's my fault for having a pc. Apple shouldn't sell a product for pc, when it doesn't work on pc!

- Are they listed in your Puchases history when you log into your account on your computer?
- Are they still available now for purchase? If not then you are out of luck

My iPad 2 has never been "paired" with any PC. My one and only PC is corrupted and will not, after many many attempts, download iTunes. When I turn on my iPad it insists that I connect to my iTunes. How can I avoid this and just get the iPad to work like normal? Any help is much appreciated

You cannot do anything with the iPad until you do as instructed by the iPad and connect to iTunes on a computer.
You probably need to restore the iPad and the only way to do that is via iTunes on a computer.
Take it to an Apple Store and ask for help at a Genius bar or take it to a friend's house that is running iTunes on their computer and try to restore it.
You will lose all of your data and settings now because you never backed the iPad up in the past.
