I dont get it

when I compile my program, the only error that comes up is:
Not a statement
pointing to the last statement in the for loop
for(int i = 0 ; i++ ; i < labels.length)
labels is an array of JLabels.
any ideas?

any ideas?"i < labels.length" is not a statement; it's an expression.
You have the last two parts of the for loop in the wrong order.
The expression comes second, and the increment statement comes third.
