I downloaded the i07. My id had changed a year ago and I forgot my password and my answer to the security question was not accepted. Tech support say nothing that can be done. I can no longer access my iphone. Any suggestions

I believe part of the recovery process is you get an e-mail allowing you to reset questions. If that e-mail isn't correct either because your son set it up then you really have no option but to ask Apple again. They are getting strict abotu security and given the number of "My iTunes account got hacked" posts here I can guess why. They have no way of knowing you really are the owner of the account. It's like me going to a policeman and saying, "See that car over there? That is mine, can you open the door for me?" and the police opening it on that basis alone.

To change the iCloud ID you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password for the old ID when prompted to turn off Find My iPhone, then sign back in with the ID you wish to use. If you still have access to your old email address, go to https//appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your iCloud ID. Welcome to the Apple community.
This feature has been introduced to make stolen phones useless to those that have stolen them.
However it can also arise when the user has changed their Apple ID details with Apple and not made the same changes to their iCloud account/Find My Phone on their device before upgrading to iOS 7, or if you restore from a previous back up made before you changed your details.
The only solution is to change your Apple ID back to its previous state with Apple at My Apple ID using your current password, you don’t need access to this address if it’s previously been used with your Apple ID, once you have saved these details enter the password as requested on your device and then turn off "find my phone".
You should then change your Apple ID back to its current state, verify it once again, delete the iCloud account from your device and then log back in using your current Apple ID. Finally, turn "find my phone" back on once again.

You need to upgrade the computer's OS. Choose About this Mac from the Apple menu and check the processor.
If it's a PowerPC Mac, it can't sync that device.
If it's a Core Duo Mac, click here, install the DVD, and run Software Update.
If it's a Core 2 Duo or better Mac, upgrade it as if it was a Core Duo Mac, and once done, if desired, open the Mac App Store and try downloading Yosemite. If you get told it's incompatible, go to the online Apple Store and order a download code for Lion 10.7.
Mac OS X 10.7 and newer don't support PowerPC software such as Microsoft Office 2004. If you upgrade the OS, back up the computer first.
Some device models require Mac OS X 10.7.5 to sync.

Backup your device in iTunes first. After backup disconnect the device. On the device for to Setting > General > Update and launch the update there. Make sue you have it plugged into some power. iTunes seems to be having some issues with the update. I have update two iPhones and two iPads this way.

Tip for future reference: when buying software, always keep your serial numbers safe and handy. Don't rely on websites, the Cloud or anyone else to retrieve them for you when you need them most. They are the single most important thing you get when you buy software and they are unique to you personally.

An error message occured " The licence agreement was not accepted. The application will now quit". I have been trying to uninstall and reinstall the application for fifth times. I can no longer access my Iphone 4.

About 4 hours ago, I could no longer access my Iphone 4. The screen for my passcode comes up, but when I go to type it in nothing types. I can't even make an emergency call. The cancel button does work though, and it syncs to my computer. Any suggestions as to what I can do to access my Iphone 4.

Have you powered it off and then re-powered it back on? Whenever my iPhone "wigs" out...I do that and it fixes any weird issues like that.

TS1389 I had an hotmail account many years ago, and since then got a yahoo account. I tried to play a song that was purchased on hotmail, however I don't think that account exists any more and I can't play those songs?

I had a hotmail account many years ago and purchased several ITunes. I found some of those old songs and tried to play them but needed authorization to do so. It keeps putting up this old account, and the passwords keeps coming up wrong? Since I don't use that old account, it is no longer in use. I do have a new Yahoo account with I Tunes, but won't let me use it for the old songs.

I contacted the itunes store support and asked for an explanation of a refund and then my first name (for the account data) was not accepted - though correct - only when cancelling the second name it went through. How can that be???

Hello - I wonder what can have happened. I got a mail from the itunes store with the info of a refund for an App that I cannot have purchased. Then I asked for help via the support and had to fill out a form with data. My account name (first name and last name) was already there and when I finally wanted to submit my request for support it said that my first name ( there are 2 for that) was not correct. I had the idea of cancelling the 2nd 'first name = only M. and then the request was accepted.
What might be the reason for all that turmoil? I mean the refund for s.th. that I did not buy and then the non acceptance of my first name's data?

since i upgraded to ipad 7 ( i think thats what it was) i have been required to put in a passcode every time I open up. ( This is extremely annoying!!)
