I got a Macintosh serial number rather than a Windows one that i require. HELP??
I bought acrobatXI pro student and teacher edition, and after submitting the relevant proof of eligibility, i recieve an email saying that my case was approved. However, the serial number i was sent is for a Mac device, whereas I purchaced a Windows software licence, with emphasis on the WINDOWS. How can i go about getting the correct serial number for a windows device?
Absolutely - do not respond to such things; reputable companies do not send texts requiring you to use a password. If they are giving you this 6 digit number, it may be a key logger (logging every key you hit including passwords, etc).

Check with the school to make sure the licensing should still be valid. Some school make arrangements only for temporary licensing.

Last fall I downloaded a trial version of Photoshop CS5.1 for use in a class. I just purchased Photoshop CS5 Extended for educators and opted to receive a disc at home rather than downloading the program as I haven't always had good luck with downloads. But, when I tried to close the trial version on my MacBook Pro, a window pops up saying, "Your trial has expired. It's easy to convert your trial to the full version now by purchasing a serial number and entering it inot your trial software. Buy Now."
Should I simply enter my new serial number rather than installing the program using the disc that was shipped to me?Yes, you can simply type in the serial. If it doesn't work, you can always run the install from the disc.

For some unknown reason, my phone has decided to change my imessage reciever to my email rather than my actual mobile number and won't let me change it backHi, i have had this same problem a few times, but i think i found a solution.
Go into your setting to iMessage, disable it from your email, via logging out of it using your Apple iD
So now ita only your phone number on iMessage.
At first it wont work, but try turning it off and on, just give it abit of time until it registers that your number is able yo use iMessage.
Once you notice its working, just go back and log back into using your Apple iD

i got my friend to help not sure if your having the same problem but i had to download stuffit expander from the app store to expand the zip files that you initially download you should be able to open them and enter serial number from there
don't know if that helps theres no where that tells you how to do that so its extremely frustrating..

And what exactly are you trying to upgrade? If you're referring to CS6, then that's a "no deal" situation - minimum requirements for upgrades are CS3 or CS4 at this point. If you mean something else, clarify. otehr than that get in touch with support.

I switched from an iPhone to an LG g2, but now all my iMessages keep going to my old iPhone rather than the new one. I know the resolution to the problem is to turn off my iMessage, but I no longer have the iPhone because I sold it to the phone carrier. I purchased the multi-user iworks (yes back when it was new, 2009 or 2010 and recently had to replace my white imac's hard drive (but didn't pay to fix the CD drive). My iworks does not have a serial number on the box and now that my CD drive isn't working how can I reinstall this software?

Serial Number Not Valid- new Windows 7pro workstation / fresh install of Creative Suite 5 Design Premium Win from download will not accept license key to install. This serial number is not valid for this product is the only response being returned. What am I missing?
The key is for Creative Suite 5 Design Premium the download is DesignPremium_CS5_5_LS1 and all associated files in the group.

Sign out from Creative Cloud and sign in again using email ID using which you had purcahsed subscription:

Then launch CC apps which is asking for serial number and check.
Still asks for serial number check the hosts file for Adobe entries , if present remove it and try to activate.
1) Right click on the Finder icon on dock and select "Go-To Folder" option.
2) You will get a text box, type-in below mentioned command and then hit 'Return' key.
/etc
3) It will open the etc folder, please look for file named "hosts" and copy the same to Desktop screen.it
4)Double click on Hosts file , it will open it with TextEdit, If present Delete Adobe entries present inside Hosts file like 127.0.0.1 activate.adobe.com.......etc
5)Copy and paste the Hosts file back to "Etc" folder.
When asked Authenticate with your Mac password.
Make sure to select "Replace" option when prompted.
Then launch CC apps which is asking for serial number and check. -

The last update was 9.0.3 - check by loading the editor and going to Help -> About Photoshop Elements
The last supported Camera raw is ACR 6.5 - check by loading the editor and going to Help -> About Plug-ins -> Camera Raw
