I had access to Revel and when I started the update, I received a message that the update was unavailable. Then I no longer had access to my previous icon or pictures.

It looks like you're actually using a camera or phone to take a photo of your monitor.
That's not what is commonly known as a "screen shot".
It looks like you're on a Mac. Hitting Command+Shift+3 places a capture of the contents of your entire monitor on your Desktop; hitting Command+Shift+4 will give you a cross-hairs cursor for you to select just the portion you want to capture.
I'm mentioning this because I fear I'm not construing your original post correctly when you type "I am working with a large files [sic], currently it has 149 layers, all of which are high resolution photographs", so I'm wondering if there's some similar use of your own idiosyncratic nomenclature in your description of your troublesome file.
Perhaps I'm just having a major senior moment myself, but I'm utterly unable to imagine such a file. Would you mind elaborating?

Yes - I connected my phone to my computer / Itunes and went into the apps section, but from there I have no idea how to manage the push notifications. I even tryied going into itunes that is installed on my phone. I still cannot find anyplace to manage these popups. I have also gone into settings - notifiations - and tried turning all notifications for these apps all off but that didnt work either. Is this a debit card you're trying to use? If so, those are apparently no longer accepted by the iTunes Store. You need to use a true credit card. If you are using a credit card, make sure all your billing details match your bank statement exactly. If that doesn't help, call your credit card company and ask if they can see any sort of flag on your account that might cause your card to be declined.

‘iPad is disabled’ fix without resetting using iTunes
Today I met my match with an iPad that had a passcode entered too many times, resulting in it displaying the message ‘iPad is disabled – Connect to iTunes’. This was a student iPad and since they use Notability for most of their work there was a chance that her files were not all backed up to the cloud. I really wanted to just re-activate the iPad instead of totally resetting it back to our default image.
I reached out to my PLN on Twitter and had some help from a few people through retweets and a couple of clarification tweets. I love that so many are willing to help out so quickly. Through this I also learned that I look like Lt. Riker from Star Trek (thanks @FillineMachine).
Through some trial and error (and a little sheer luck), I was able to reactivate the iPad without loosing any data. Note, this will only work on the computer it last synced with. Here’s how:
1. Configurator is useless in reactivating a locked iPad. You will only be able to completely reformat the iPad using Configurator. If that’s ok with you, go for it – otherwise don’t waste your time trying to figure it out.
2. Open iTunes with the iPad disconnected.
3. Connect the iPad to the computer and wait for it to show up in the devices section in iTunes.
4. Click on the iPad name when it appears and you will be given the option to restore a backup or setup as a new iPad (since it is locked).
5. Click ‘Setup as new iPad’ and then click restore.
6. The iPad will start backing up before it does the full restore and sync. CANCEL THE BACKUP IMMEDIATELY. You do this by clicking the small x in the status window in iTunes.
7. When the backup cancels, it immediately starts syncing – cancel this as well using the same small x in the iTunes status window.
8. The first stage in the restore process unlocks the iPad, you are basically just cancelling out the restore process as soon as it reactivates the iPad.
If done correctly, you will experience no data loss and the result will be a reactivated iPad. I have now tried this with about 5 iPads that were locked identically by students and each time it worked like a charm.

When i open a new tab i get a tab with 2 blue bars, instead of one - the one on top of the site - and a little firefox dropdown - and when i start the next session firefox crashes???

When clicking a link - a new tab opens. But the new tab which opens looks wired: There are 2 blue bars - the one you get on each session(where the red x is which closes everything) - I don`t know how you call this. This 2nd blue bar is located directly under the "normal" one and has got - on the left hand side- a firefox dropdown menue(when you click it you get: New Tab, Start private browsing, edit, save page as and so on.
I can close the session as always but when i start the next session a view hours or a day later then firefox opens all the tabs from the session before as individual windows - and then it crashes. This happens 2 or 3 times - then i see a window where i am asked to either restore the old session(which doesn`t work - it always crashes again) or start a new session - which works.
This is very annoying. Please tell me what to do.

It is possible that there is a problem with the files sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.
Delete the files sessionstore.js [2] and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.

If you see files sessionstore-##.js with a number in the left part of the name like sessionstore-1.js then delete those as well.<br />
Deleting sessionstore.js will cause App Tabs and Tab Groups and open and closed (undo) tabs to get lost, so you will have to create them again (make a note or bookmark them).

Replaced motherboard and when I started the computer I get no boot screen

I have a HP media center m7463w. I am running Windows Vista Home Premium. My computer crashed and I replaced the power supply when I restarted I had a blank screen (not even a boot menu option), Therefore I felt that replacing the motherboard was the next thing to try, I put a used
Asus HP Compaq LGA775 motherboard 5188-5465 P5LP-LE
in and still got the same result (by the way I've replaced the motherboard once before and when I restarted I got the error message "No Operating System Found" and all I did was re-install Vista Prem. and had no problem until now.)
The only message I receive is from the monitor telling me no signal detected (DVI or VGA) and the monitor was going into sleep mode. I know that the first thing that comes to mind is that the graphics card is bad. My wife also has a HP Media center m7760n which is basically the same computer also running Windows Vista Home Premium. So I've switched monitors and put my graphics card into her computer and they work fine.
I've tried HP's resetting the BIOS even when you have no picture. I've replaced the CMOS battery after leaving the battery socket empty with nothing attached to the computer for 10 hours. And lastly I have removed and reset the pin in order to clear the CMOS. By the way when the problem first appeared I DID put in my recovery disc and restart. The CD/DVD drive is working. HELP!!!

Typically, when someone replaces an iPhone with a newer model and uses the same telephone number, the old iPhone's telephone connection is disabled, but the iPhone still works (nuch like an iPod Touch). Is that your situation?

The sleepimage file still reappears even if never slept. Delete it (hibernate off, etc) - within minutes its back.

Cloud programs do not use serial numbers... you log in to your paid Cloud account to download & install & activate... you MAY need to log out of the Cloud and restart your computer and log back in to the Cloud for things to work

Remove MS Office 2011 completely (here are instructions) and reinstall it.
It's not a simple or fast process but it is important to follow all of the steps in order to get all the files that Office scatters around. This will not affect your data files, only MS Office and its preferences.

I've been having the same issue, but have just discovered something on my own that hasn't been pointed out in any of the forums I've visited. In what I thought would be a vain attempt to help myself, I went to System Preferences, Users & Groups, and then clicked on Login Items. I discovered that one of the Items that was listed to open automatically upon login was iTunes Helper and that there was an exclamation point beside it indicating that it was incompatible. I simply deleted that item and now I don't have the situation you described and my wireless is connected. Hope this helps!
