I had to buy a movie twice before I could download it

I bought a $9.99 movie, but it refused to download. It still took the $9.99 out of my account, but I had to buy it again in order to watch it. Is there anyway I can get the $9.99 back because it just took $19.98 out of my account for a $9.99 movie -_-

Did you check to check to see if it showed in the Purchased link under Quicklinks on the right-hand side of the iTunes Store homepage on your computer's iTunes, or the Purchased tab in the iTunes Store app if using an iOS device before buying it again - depending upon what country that you are in, and if the rights-holder allows redownload it, films can be redownloaded via Purchased whilst they remain in the store.

I have had to buy a new laptop because my old one crashed.(windows 7) . I have downloaded itunes but my music is not there when i sign in. Help

Your library is on your old Laptop on the HDD.
iTunes keep is library on your HDD (hard disk) maybe you can take out the HDD of your crashed laptop and recover your music files
To have a libray on the net (or cloud) you can use in the future iTunes Match, he upload you library on a cloud (on the net) with your account. So you can share and enjoy your music everywhere.
    Hope i help

  • Had to buy a book twice to download?

Just tried to buy a book and it did the adding transition animation putting the cover in my library but the status bar never loaded and stayed empty. I waited a few minutes, no wifi loading spinner at the top left so I tried to open the book and it faded away as though I had deleted it - I had not. So I went back to the store and it showed I didn't actually buy the book, no Downloaded tag, so I tried the purchase again and this time it worked. I'm quite leery of this because there was no error message that the sale failed. Anyone else come across this?

  • A few years ago I bought LR 3 last year I upgraded it to LR 4. The question I need answered is this: I had to buy a new computer and when I downloaded LR 4 I placed the serial number as requested, but it needs the SSN to LR 3. I don't have it and have it.

I cannot locate my earlier light room 3 serial number so how can I obtain it?

If you still have access to the computer LR was installed on you can find both the LR3 & LR4 serial numbers here:
    OS X
Registration data (serial number) is in //Library/Application Support/Adobe/Lightroom/Lightroom 4.0 Registration
    Windows 7 Vista
Registration data (serial number) is located in the C:\ProgramData\Adobe\Lightroom\Lightroom 4.0 Registration.lrreg file.
Lightroom 4 reads the Lightroom 3.0, 2.0, or 1.0 registration registry entry when it validates upgrade serial numbers. If you install an upgrade version of Lightroom 4 and it does not find a file for either Lightroom 3.0, 2.0, or 1.0, it prompts you to enter the previous version serial number.
This are plain text files which can be opened in Window's Notepad or it's equivalent in OS X.

  • My yahoo emails got wiped off and I had to access my email for my booking reference. Had to buy new ticket. Can I get compensation?

    Hi,
I would really appreciate some help. I had to catch a train yesterday and I had previously bought my tickets online. I had to access my booking reference before I could collect my tickets at the station. I found- to my horror- that my yahoo emails had been wiped clean! Curiously enough, my other email was unaffected. I had to buy a new ticket which was very expensive. On getting home, I checked my email and found that it was unaffected, so it must be a problem with my phone and not the email itself. May I know I can get my emails back and if I can claim compensation for my tickets? Very unpleasent experience!
    Best wishes

This is almost exclusively a user to user forum, but for what it's worth I doubt you can get reimbursed. There are various things that might have happened. It's the nature of the digital world, not just BlackBerry.
Going forward save important emails to the device. It would be wise to copy and paste critical information into notepad, just in case.

  • How do i recover my purchased movies on itunes. the icloud does not show them and i have contacted apple twice before about this issue

how do i recover my purchased movies on itunes. the icloud does not show them and i have contacted apple twice before about this issue

Not all movies qualify for download on demand from iTunes in the Cloud, the rights may be reserved by the content provider and can vary by region. What response have you had from iTunes Store support?
If you have still have the computer they were on it might be possible to extract the hard drive, mount it in an external drive bay and recover the content from it.

I backed up my ipad to the cloud as it had a broken screen so I swaped it out for a new one and now I cant restore because the new Ipad has IOS 6 and my back up is 6.1!  This is what I get for buying an Ipad twice in a week because of a broken screen? $500 the first buy and then another $299 plus tax for the swaped out one that I can't restore with my backup data.

I assume that you will have to set up as new since it will not let you restore from the backup. Then after you set it up, you can restore from the iCloud backup. The backup should not disappear be use you are setting this device up as new. Your backup should still be in iCloud.
However, after you activate the iPd and update the software, you will have to erase the device in order to restore from the Cloud backup, that is the only way to get to the iCloud backup.
Copied from the article that linked you to this discussion ....
    Resolution
Update your device to the latest version of iOS to be able to restore the backup.

    Hey grossa2,
First, here is a way to report an issue with your purchase:
How to report an issue with your iTunes Store, App Store, Mac App Store, or iBooks Store purchase
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1933
Then, I'd go through this article, which helps troubleshoot a lack of audio playback in iTunes:

  • HT204370 If I buy a movie on iTunes and burn it to a DVD can I get to to play in a DVD/Blu-ray player?  I haven't had much luck trying to do so.

If I buy a movie on iTunes and burn it to a DVD can I get to to play in a DVD/Blu-ray player?  I haven't had much luck trying to do so.

    No you cannot.
You can only make a backup dvd of your movies, fo use in itunes on yur computer.  You cannot burn a video product to dvd to watch on a dvd player, just as you cannot copy a dvd that you purchase.

  • HT2693 I lost my movie? The Chronicles of Narnia the first movie, how do I get it back? I had to buy another IPad, so how can I get it back? Please and thank u

I lost my movie. The lost chronicles of Narnia, the lion, the witch and the wardrobe? I might of used a different account, but I don't remember it, and now that that happened I only stick to one that I can remember? Can anyone please help me? I'm not good at this stuff. It's too complicated for me? Thank u very much!!!

First of all unless you live in the U.S., you will have to buy the movie again. Only U.S. residenst have the option of downloading movies again for free. Second of all - not all movies can be downloaded again currently since not all studios are in agreement with Apple to allow this.
So .. if you live in the U.S. - go to iTunes and tap on the purchased tab. Then tap the View button in the upper left corner and select Movies. If the movie shows up - then clcik on the icon and then click on the cloud icon in the Movie window to start the download.
You have to use the same ID that you bought it with. That is the only wat that it will work.

  • Can't buy HD movies in iTunes from Mac Mini

I wanted to buy a movie for my Disney Anywhere collection. I only want HD. I bought one a couple of weeks ago, no problem. Now when I try to, it goes the purchase process, but then before I actually pay, I get a prompt that I can't play HD on my Mini and do I want to buy the SD version. There is no option to continue with the purchase, just Help and Cancel. How do I get the HD version? Is this something new with the latest update?

I can select HD fron the toggle button and it is showing the HD price. The store won't let me complete the purchase. I can try it from my Windows PC in the office. I don't actually want to download the movie right now anyway.
I had to reinstall an older version of iTunes on my work PC because I couldn't transfer mp3 books to my iPhone with the latest version of iTunes. This latest upgrade is feeling a lot like a down grade. Thanks for the suggestion. I sent an email to Apple as well. Hopefully they will have a solution.
PS I can try to reinstall the older version of iTunes on my mini. I just don't want to tonight.

  • Due to a divorce all my music is on my iTunes and iPod. I had to buy a new computer and want to transfer my Library to the new computer. How can I do this without using an external drive and use new computer just like I do the old one? Thanks.

Due to divorce, all my music is on my iTunes and iPod. I have had to buy  a new laptop and want to transfer the library to the new computer before deauthorizing the old one. I dont want to have to use an external drive every time I want to listen to my music. How can I do this and have the same basic iTunes setup as before? HELP!

You might consider itunes match for moving CDs you've copied into your itunes library if you dont have a way to use home sharing.
iTunes match is an optional service offered by apple that costs about $25 a year.  It scans your music library and if it finds music that is already in apple's itunes catalog it'll automatically "unlock"/"store" these in the cloud for you.  Items that it does not find in the catalog it'll upload and store these in the cloud for you and you can download them on your devices.  See http://www.apple.com/itunes/itunes-match/

  • My iPhone 4 broke so I had to buy a new one.  I backed up the old one on iTunes and when I went to restore the new one it won't allow me to because it is saying that I have the wrong password.  I tried changing the password and it still won't work. HELP!

My iPhone 4 screen shattered so I had to buy a new one.  I backed up my shattered iPhone to iTunes so that I could restore my new one.  When I went to restore it, it said that I had an incorrect password although I know it was right.  I tried changing the password and it still told me that I had an incorrect password.  So now my new phone has lost all its pictures, its music, its apps.... is there anything I can do to get my phone to restore?? PLEASE HELP!

If you can't get the password correct, you CANNOT restore from that backup.
However, if you've been using your phone as recommended by Apple, there should be minimal data loss.
Your iTunes library is on your computer, so you can synch all your apps, music, movies, ringtones, etc, on to your new phone.
Similarly, contacts should be synched to Address Book, Outlook, or a cloud service for you to easily synch back to your new phone.
Pictures taken from your old phone and not synched to your computer are lost, but you would have been synching those photos to your computer frequently as recommended.  Other photos that you synch TO your iPhone are still on your computer.
You won't be able to get text messages back.
