Just to summarise:
If I run Photoshop Elements I get a window headed "AMT Subsystem failure". It states "This product has a problem which requires that you restart your computer before it can be launched. If you continue to see this message etc. contact Adobe Technical Support etc. Error 130:9. http etc".
I have tried to run LicenceRecovery 109. This did not work. I have tried other suggestions on the internet. Nothing worked. This included resetting FLexnet.
I then tried to uninstall and reinstall Photoshop Elements. There is no repair facility. The uninstall gets about 95% through and then stops and replaces all the files. I get a window headed "Adobe Photoshop Elements 8.0 Setup". It states "Error 1316. A network error while trying to read from the file C:\windows\installer\adobe photoshop elements 8.0.msi."
That is the details of the two screen dumps which I have.
Please advise.

Thanks for the question. Start with completely uninstalling iTunes and all of it's components in the order specified in the article below. Once this is done, download and install iTunes.

Hi there,
It sounds like there may be an issue with the quality of the PDF. Not all PDFs are created equal, and especially those created from scanned documents can be problematic if the scan quality isn't the best. Is there a dark background on the PDF, or stray marks or smudges?
You can try converting with OCR disabled at outlined in this document: How to disable Optical Character Recognition (O... | Adobe Community. But, while that's a good test to find out where the problem lies, you'll end up with a Word document that isn't editable, so it's not an optimal solution.

I think when uninstalling you may also have to choose (tick) to delete the preferences and other personal data like the bookmarks, stored passwords etc. to erase completely. If you are installing afresh, please try right-clicking on the file and '''Run as administrator''' to install. And when uninstalling, please also make sure choose to delete all data and also manually delete any '''Mozilla''', '''Mozilla Firefox''' or '''Firefox''' from %appdata%, %localappdata% and %programfiles%. You can open a location by typing for eg. %appdata% in the '''Run''' box (Windows key + R). You may also have to check the '''VirtualStore''' folder in %localappdata%. Files in the VirtualStore can be problematic. I think a clean installation may help.

I have had this problem with Windows 7 and iTunes updates for some time. Each time it takes hours to solve but with the over the air upgrade to IOS6 on my iPhone and iPad, I was determined to solve and remember what I did, So here it is:

You can't import MPEG-2 files directly to FCP X.
Can you play this file in Quicktime Player? If so, then you can use the free program MPEG Streamclip to convert this to Quicktime. Use the ProRes codec.

I have tried all the steps given to remove my I tunes player but in my control panel, add and remove programs it does not give me an option to remove any of the apple/ I tunes. I tried to go to program files and remove all the files but access is denied. This all started about 1 1/2 years ago and with every i tunes update i got more and more errors or problems until it stopped working. At one time i could remove and reinstall i tunes to try to fix it but now i cannot do anything. I believe one of the last was i could not open i tune because it was being used or was on another network, not 100% sure its been so long and frustrating I quit trying 6 months ago. Hopefully someones got some help !!!

My name and/or password are not working on start up page. Got given used macbook pro and new to apple so please help!

My brother gave me his macbook pro and I'm having trouble getting past the start up page that asks for my my name and password. I have an apple id and password but these don't work nor does me typing my actual name and the same password. I've rung apple twice and the first person said I had to reset my uusername account and told me I could do so by visiting the support part of the apple website using the link he gave me. The information tells me how to do this but I have to have the computer up and running to reset/change the account username and password. So no joy. Second time I spoke with a lady who told me the name and password should be the same as the one my brother used when he had the computer but having entered the name and password he gave me it still doesn't work. I've tried all the different name types of my name e.g. full name, no spaces, capitals and no capitals etc but every time I click on the right pointing arrow thing or press the enter button the password does a quiver/shake thing and nothing happens. My bro says he has a relatively new lion operating system. I haven't a clue what to do as I'm new to using apple computers and I've spent ages looking through the support section with no success in finding the solution. Resetting User Password in Lion and Mountain Lion
Boot into your Recovery Partition by holding down the Command and R keys whilst booting.
When the Recovery screen appears, go to the Utilities menu and open Terminal.
In Terminal, type:
resetpassword
...a small app will open and allow you to choose the user for whom you want to change the password. If you are the admin, be certain that you choose your admin user. Type in your new password twice and give yourself a good hint. Click OK (or Done or whatever) and reboot, enjoying the use of your new, hopefully memorable, password.

The default is "Use system proxy settings" which should piggyback on IE's LAN settings, but you also can try "No proxy" to see whether that works any better.

Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
Check your settings. The iPads have a small switch on the right edge. It can be used as a rotation lock to keep the screen from automatically reorienting itself as you move around, but you need to have the tablet’s settings configured properly. That same switch, right above the volume buttons, can also be set to function instead as a mute button to silence certain types of audio.
If the switch is set to work as a mute button, you can change its purpose to “screen-rotation lock” by tapping the Settings icon on the home screen. On the Settings screen, tap General on the left side, and on the right side of the screen flick down to “Use Side Switch to.” Tap to select Lock Rotation or Mute to set the button’s function. Even if you set the side switch for your preferred use, you can still mute the Mini or lock the screen. Just double-click the Home button, and when the panel of apps appears along the bottom edge of the screen, flick the row from left to right with your finger. Tap the icon on the far left side of the row to either lock the iPad’s screen or mute the iPad’s alerts, notifications and sound effects. Music, podcasts and video are not muted unless you turn the volume all the way down.
