Yeah it does have that on/off switch and it's turned on. Siri won't work for some reason, I don't know if it's to do with this E thing?

ITunes help isn't working - anyone know what to do?
When I open help in iTunes I get the usual template but it's blank. If I type in a phrase in the search box it will show the rotating bar thing to show it's busy but never comes back with anything. I get the same thing in Mail as well. has anyone come across this? Tried a search of this discussin group but didn't see anything.
As the problem exists also in other programs, it might be a corrupted preferences file.
Go to ~/Users/yourusername/Library/Preferences and trash the following files:
com.apple.help.plist
com.apple.helpui.plist
com.apple.helpviewer.plist
I suspect the first one is the culprit, but it does no harm removing all three.
After restarting 'Help', the Helpviewer makes new ones.

Check you are logged into your store account properly (settings > store). Also check there are no restrictions set that might be causing this (settings > general > restrictions) -

As deggie said, you are the victim of Activation Lock. Activation Lock is described here:

Either you need to contact the previous owner to release the phone from Find My iPhone, or if you cannot contact the previous owner, it is likely you received a stolen iPhone and it will be useless to you. -

I have an i-pad and have just got an i-phone but want 2 use a different I cloud? I've set up new email account and apple ID, but I can't change the I-cloud settings, can u help PLS??
The procedure is Settings>Messages>Send & Receive at>You can be reached by iMessages at>Add another email address. The email address has to be a valid working email address, obviously. Apple should verify the email address and you have to go to the inbox of that email account, read the verification email from Apple and follow the inductions in the email in order to complete the verification. Then you go back to the settings, uncheck your email address and check the new email address to be used as the contact email address.

i just got this phone and im so lost im having problems puttig my pics and music on the phone from my memory card from my previous phone
Import the music and photos from the memory card with your computer and place the music in your iTunes library.
Place the photos in a folder to be designated for transfer to your iPhone.
Select Sync Music under the Music tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes to transfer this music and any other music in your iTunes library and select Sync Photos under the Photos tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes selecting the folder where these photos are located followed by a sync. -
I keep getting the message "The backup disk image “/Volumes/Donald Baker's Time Capsul/Donald Baker’s iMac.sparsebundle” could not be accessed (error -1). does anyone know what this means? My time capsule refuses to back up.

I have bought Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 last August 2013 and having problems with installing it on Windows 8.1. Why am I having this problem?
You can check you Adobe account online to see if the serial number is registered under your account. If not then your only option will likely be to contact Adobe Support directly thru chat to see if they can provide you with a/the serial number. For them to do so will require you being able to prove ownership.

i have just got my 3gs back from my daughter and i have put my sim card in and it comes up as emergency calls only. That is my first problem then when i plug it into itunes it only recognises it as her iphone can anyone help my please ?
I agree with wjosten. Sounds like a sim card issue. Was your sim card removed from a working,activated phone? I've switched sim cards in an iphone multilple times and never had a problem. You might try removing the sim card and reinstalling.

I have just got a new mac book pro. When I synced my iphone 4s with it my audible book files were deleted from my phone though they are on the computer still. A pop up said my iphone was not authorised to play on this computer. Everything else is there just not my audio books from Audible. I'm half way through a book, what do I do?
The iphone is not a backup device.
You need to copy everything from your old computer, or your backup copy of your old computer to your new one. -

If the Settings app on your iPhone is not behaving correctly, first force close the application using this method:
Double-click the Home button.
Swipe left or right until you have located the app you wish to close.

I have an Ipod Touch 4 gen. and I'm having problems with audio when I use other than Apple brand earphones. I'm talking about music only so far, when I use apple earphones all is fine, but if I use other type of phones ( sony for exemple ) I can only hear the music and the background but not the lead singer voice, can anybody explain this to me? thank you.
- Try cleaning out/blowing out the headphone jack. Try inserting/removing the plug a dozen times or so.
- If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

I have been into Icloud and under 'Storage & Backup' and 'Manage Storage', I can see that my last phone was backed up a day before it was broken. I just cant find the option to transfer that data such as all my pictures and videos onto my new phone. My Notes and contacts have just transferred automatically and strangely, my old photo's that were taken and assigned to certain contacts are now assigned to my new phone as was, but they dont appear in my photo library anywhere. What do I need to do?
Hello again. Just to let you know I have solved the problem. Backed up my new phone. Then wiped all settings and everything off it to start again. When it relaunches it gives you the option to download from Icloud and you can pick from which back-up date you want to download it from. Picked the one from the day before it got trashed and HEY PRESTO, we have all the pictures and videos back!!! Iphone 0 - 1 Voodooboy78
