I just upgraded to Firefox5, and it no longer saves my tabs. I done all the things that your help section suggests, but it still only gives me my start page, and not my tabs

I don't know what else to tell you...my comp used to automatically save whatever tabs I had upon closing. I could click in the top right hand corner: and, when I would open firefox, my tabs would be there.
I have done all the things you suggest. Tried closing from the File menu...nope, went into options and made sure that "save my tabs" was checked (yes it was) no it didn't help.
Also, a lot of my regular pages that I leave open, needed to be (continually) renewed...
Why do upgrades always screw things up?

The only "Firefox symbol" I see is the one with the blue fox 'spanning" a red globe. Neither left or right click brings up options.

You must first make the purchase, then you will receive the serial number you are asking about. YOu do not acquire the serial number thru the software. You acquire it thru the purchase, possibly via a follow-up confirmation email.

I'm overwhelmed by the number of available programs, all the things that each program can do and perplexed by the arguments for and against each feature in each program.
My needs are relatively simple for my small business: 1) I need to be able to import years worth of Quicken data into the new program 2) I need to easily print checks 3) I need to easily reconcile my checking account each month and 4) I need to generate basic reports for my accountant (e.g. P & L statements, category summaries).
I have been a FileMaker user since 1.0 so I don't need (or want) A/R, A/P, inventory management, invoicing, etc.
I just need a solid, dependable electronic checkbook per above.

I would recommend you continue with Quicken Essentials. As noted by others, it performs well on Yosemite.
My personal experience is Quicken 2007 for Mac also on 10.7.5 (with many reports of it both updated and successfully running on Yosemite) and I personally would not touch Quicken Essentials with a 10 foot pole -- BUT, if it ain't broke for you, don't fix it!

There is a similar setting for Videos on that Settings screen, so if you leave that 'on' you may have similar happening in the Videos app

I found an answer to this on another page (I was having the same problem) This worked for me:
Double-click the Home button.
Swipe left or right until you have located the app you wish to close.
Swipe the app up to close it.

My kids ipod nano 5th gen does not sync to music and gets error 13019 message. So far done all the suggestions - and now it has NO music. It seems to download all the music and then error after the last song.

Kid is mad now there is NO music on the ipod. At least before it had the old music and just would not download new songs.

I've encountered the same problem as this recently, but unfortunately i haven't worked out how to fix it yet.
I tried to fit too many songs on my ipod nano from itunes, and it told me it would create a selection of these (titled my songs) and put them on the nano, which it did. I then went back onto itunes to delete some songs so that they would all fit on the nano. I also deleted the "my songs" playlist, knowing that all the songs were still stored under Music on itunes. When i tried to sync the nano it said that it couldn't be synced as the required disk cannot be found.

I have reset the settings ..turned it off and back on, all the things on the page and it is not working ..used to work perfect but always after an update it doesn't work anymore...and the phone company that is supposed to support with problems they were asking me about facebook don't think they even know what face time is ...and It was a person working on Iphone 4 technical support I know it is not the camera or the microphone cause skype works perfectly ..but I want face time

Firefox 4 and 5 load fine but will not start. I have done all the things it says in help including removing the firfox items in the Proceses tab but it still will not run.

Latest revision of firefox.
After using firefox for a while if I exit, parent.lock is locked and i have to reboot to reload firefox.
I have killed all firefox applications from task manager (usually there are none). and I have tried 3 different "file unlock" programs including unlocker to no avail.
I also recently installed a program that shows -all- open files, and parent.lock is not listed, and thus not closable/unlockable from there.

Clsing Firfox 4.- for Yahoo does not save tabs on close like previous versions. Your help says settings but does not tell me what setting...

In all the previous versions of Firefox, when I close Firefox, I was asked if I wanted to save my tabs. The latest version is not allowing that option. Why not and what setting will bring this function back. I should not have to pull down the History menu and request Previous Session, I should be able to start with my previous session if I exit and not close the tabs.
Upgrades should increase functionality and NOT completely change the look and feel of the program.

How do i fix all the things that say "The song "Song name here" because the original file can not be found." It does the same thing with more than half of my apps and WAY more than half of my songs. Please help me.

First, I would try the following suggested steps for when you don't see content in iTunes after updating:
Quit iTunes.
Download and install the latest version of iTunes.
Use the Finder (Mac) or Windows Explorer (Windows) to go to the iTunes folder that contains the iTunes library files:
Mac OS X
/Users/username/Music/iTunes/
Microsoft Windows Windows XP and Windows 2000
\Documents and Settings\username\My Documents\My Music\iTunes\
Microsoft Windows Windows Vista and Windows 7
\Users\username\Music\iTunes\
Drag the iTunes Library file from the above location to the Desktop.
Open the Previous iTunes Libraries folder in the iTunes folder.
Locate the file named iTunes Library YYYY-MM-DD where YYYY-MM-DD is the date you upgraded iTunes (Year-Month-Day).
Drag this file to the iTunes folder (the enclosing folder).
Rename this file to iTunes Library.
Open iTunes.
You should now see your missing content in iTunes.
