I need crystall report print button support insted of exporting to pdf then print

Crystal reports are the most widely used reporting software.its print button is working on active X controls. due to the i am not able to use direct print button.
so please help me to provide a plugin for crystal report

InDesign documents, exported to .pdfs then printed on PC and Mac laser printers - what are best settings?

Our in-house creative department produces a lot of materials that are no longer going to our commercial printer.
Projects are created in Adobe InDesign, exported as .pdfs and stored on a site, where marketing partners can then download the .pdfs and print.
Usually from laser printers, usually pcs.
I would appreciate any advice on choosing settings for the .pdf (export) to help manage color etc.

If you are printing to laser printers by people that are not knowledgeable about color settings and device capabilities. I would not use Color Management. I would stick to something simple like Press Quality so that all the fonts used in your document will be embedded into the pdf so that you do not have to worry if the person printing the file has the fonts used in creating the documents.

Crystral reports viewer activex control 11.5 - export to pdf - misaligned

good morning
i have been advised to post here for a better response
i have a slight issue im trying to get an answer for with crystral reports viewer activex control 11.5
when exporting data from the report on screen to pdf, everything is mostly ok except for some lines which are not correctly aligned with everything else
when i do a print instead to software such as primopdf, the alignment is fine, its exactly as it looks on the onscreen report, howeverm primopdf is unable to print the whole report due to a control error & it also takes far too long exporting the data out of crystal reports
obviously, getting the activex control export to pdf working is the preferred option, else why bother using it
has anyone else had similar issues & what did you do to resolve?
i wouldnt be suprised if the answer is simply to update to the latest version

Well, perhaps not the latest version, but certainly the latest Service Pack would be the place to start. For CR XI r2 (11.5), the latest SP can be downloaded from here:

Now, the above was created for CR 10.2, so the registry for CR XI r2 is:

You may have to create the "Export" folder and PDF folder so that this looks as:
HKLMsoftware usiness objectssuite 11.5crystal reportsexportpdf
Now, Right-click the pdf sub key and click New > DWORD Value. Name the DWORD value "ForceLargerFonts" and set it to the value of 1.
Restart IIS, and try the application again.
If this does not help, let me know if this is a web or a win app.

Crystal Report 2008 SP2 & InfoView: Custom XML Export doesnt work

Hi,
I have created a Crystal Report .rpt and want to use the custom xml export function to output a custom xml file. For that, I created a custom transformation file (xsl) and imported it into the .rpt . On the client machine, if I open the .rpt with Crystal Reports 2008 SP2, and select to export it using the custom xml output, all runs fine. (under SP1, only half the file was created...)
If I upload the .rpt file to Infoview (server-side: BO Enterprise 3.1, SP2 as well) and schedule it, I can select xml, and then my custom xml as output format, but I am getting the error message u201EUngültige Exportoptionen" (="invalid export options"), in the instance history. No output file is created. I use file system as destination. Other output formats like .pdf and .rpt work fine and files are created.
Ideas:
-Are there any more settings needed on the server (e.g.CMC - Crystal Server Jobs, other Processes, ...) so I can schedule the report and successfully create the custom xml format file as output?
-Do I need to upgrade to a specific SP or FP on server-side so everything runs smooth?

When i unistall and again install a fresh Crystal report for .Net 4.0 Its ok to generate only to pdf option when click to the print icon on crystal report viewer but in another computer it is promting the old fasion like "a dialog with many option" ,But if want to have a only option to generate only to pdf option what should i have to do when my project and crystal report is at Window server 2008 R2,Please suggest a requred answer?

Firefox will update in increments when you use such old versions. The best thing to do is to go to www.getfirefox.com, and download Firefox 19.0.2. This is going to be much faster than updating to 3.0.19, then to 3.6, then 12, then 19 (which is the current process).

Crystal Report Portuguese language support

Hi I am using Crystal Reports 10 with IIS Server. I wish to display some of the reports in Portuguese language. How can I configure Crystal Reports to display data in Portuguese ? I guess I will need to download a language pack for this but will it allow word-by-word conversion from English to Portuguese ? Grammatically correct sentences are not currently my concern. Any inputs will be greatly appreciated.

Need more info. Crystal reports by itself does not use IIS. Are you using CR Enterprise 10 or did you develop an application using CR 10 runtime?
I don't believe CR or CE 10 supported or had a language pack for Portuguese. CR 2008 and BOE 3.1 now does though.
Also, CR/CE 10 had all of the language packs included so it you don't see it it wasn't something you could download.

Crystal report close button hangs the application

Dear All,
I am working on 2005 B PL 46. we have developed an application to open a particular crystal report when a button is pressed in AR Invoice form. this works fine and the data is loaded properly. The problem is, when I close this report, this hangs the entire application and I have to kill the exe from the task manager then only I can go back to SAP. (one of the oldest problem we encountered with crystal report-SDK). this does not happen always. it does close the report 5 times out of 10 without hanging the application.one more thing is, if I debug the application with pressing F11, it never hangs the application and woks fine.
The report is getting loaded in the Crystalreport Viewer control dragged on a windows form. any one has any idea? I have tried this on 2007 B version PL 08 and the same problem persists with lesser frequency.

VB6 Crystal Reports 8.5 - RDC Component to Export Reports To Printer

Hi,
We have an application written in VB6 that uses the RDC in Crystal Reports 8.5 to export reports the printer. We are currently making some security changes to lock down several of our servers. Currently our custom print queue for Crystal runs in windows services as administrator. All the printers are installed as administrator. As soon as we change our application to run as a different account (ie. CrystalService) it no longer can find the printers. I was wondering if there is a way for the windows service to recognize the printers installed as administrator without re-installing all printers on all servers as the new user Crystal Service.

Other than re-installing under the new user account you can search Microsofts web site on how to change printer permissions. There is an article there that explains how to copy the Printer registry keys into the local user account.
Then it should all work for you, this is all a Windows permission issue, not a Crystal Reports Issue.

Correct, it is a no. But typically they do work, we've always supported Oracle in all of our connection methods but if they change something that CR 10 can not handle then no way for us to fix it.
Also, CR 2008 and above are the only fully supported versions at this time so you could look at updating. If it's an application you are writing then have a look at the[ .NET SDK forum |SAP Crystal Reports, version for Visual Studio;for more info on using CR for Visual Studio 2010. It's a free plug into VS 2010 and is the full version of CR, only thing missing is the standalone Report Designer...

Need Crystal Reports Excel Export Compatibility Patch

I seached the threads and found that the person that started this thread:
Crystal Reports.NET Export to Excel
has the same issue/needs that I do. We have over 1000 crystal reports all written in 8.5. We MUST have the ability to export them accurately to Excel in the clean manner in which they were exported back in version 8.5. Apparently (for whatever reason) you guys have gone away from the old methodology of exporting to Excel, however I read that there is a compatibility patch that can be provided that would allow me to be able to export the reports to excel the way it use to work. What do I need to do to aquire this patch? Thanks.

Thanks Don for you reply. I noticed you said this was low priority for him, but to us it's a major priority as I said, one of our biggest clients is very upset about it and we need it fixed asap.
I understand what you are saying when you say that we "had 10 years to update it." However, please understand from our vantage point. We didn't upgrade b/c you're user license agreements were so expensive for us until you recently reworked it so as to be affordable. So we couldn't upgrade until recently. So now we "upgraded" to a newer version of Crystal which usually means things are enhanced and work better. However, in this case the newer version is causing us major problems in an area that use to work great. So we're finding it hard to blame ourselves for this.
I guess I am ignorant as to why SAP would go to an entirely different exporting methodology when the old methodology was working so well.
Anyway, thanks again and anything you can do to speed up the process of getting us a patch would be greatly appreciated.
