ECM - roll up functionality in ECM when a manager left the company

Hi Experts,
When a Manager B reports to Manager A.  Manager B leaves the company and has 5 employees reporting to him; his position is now vacant in SAP.  Should Manager A now see the 5 employees that reported to Manager B in Manager Au2019s list of direct reports in the initial planning screens? I meant automatically roll up to the one-up manager.
Currently, this is not happening in my system, the manger A need to go search from the Org Unit dropdown to find manager Bu2019s employees. Is there a configuration setting for this?

Hi Susan,
The recently released EhP4 constitutes "Multilevel Approval Process" centered upon the organizational structure of the enterprise, rather than the employees assigned to the units within it. Because the Multilevel Approval Process is based on the organizational structure, it is designed with the intent of simplifying, for each successively higher-level manager within that structure, the administration and execution of the entire compensation planning cycle.
Within the Multilevel Approval Process, the planning manager of an organizational unit is understood to be the manager who is responsible for submitting compensation planning data for employees of that unit who are not managers themselves.
Under normal circumstances, the planning manager of an organizational unit is synonymous with the manager of that unit u2013 provided that a corresponding user is assigned to that manager in the system. However, if an organizational unit has no manager, or if the manager of that organizational unit has no user in the system, then the next higher-level manager who has a user in the system becomes the planning manager for that organizational unit.
This is a completely new functionality. I don't think we have any option uptil EhP4.

    Dear Gurus,
    We are working on SRM 7 and we would need to be advised for the followig.
    We are facing an issue when users leave the company, if they where requestor for some documents, this documents cannot be processed anymore. Error "The attributes of other user are incosistent or not defined. See transaction PPOMA_BBP".
    Currently these user are deassigned from the PPOMA and a standard interface update the field "valid to" in the BUT100 when they leave the company.
    We tried to assign again them to the PPOMA. But the error has not been solved. Maybe that value "valid to" in BUT100 should be maintened in a different way.
    We are using HR and standard interfases as far as i know.
    Could you please advise regarding the best option to use in these cases of SRM.

    I have seen this error many times, the user was probably deleted from the SRM system and so no subsequent actions can be taken on open documents linked to this user.
    The SRM system behaves like this
    In Standalone scenario:
    SRM system is standalone system not connected with HR system
    If we try to delete the user locally the system will check is there any
    open documents if any open document exists
    then the system won't allow to delete the
    users which inturn won't delete the associated business partner
    relationship.
    So the user as well as the business partner relationship (BUT050 ,
    BUT052) won't be deleted.
    SRM with HR Replication scenario:
    All the users are maintained in HR system and the HR system is the
    leading system.
    If the employee leaves the organisation, from HR side the requirement is
    that the user has to
    be deleted immediately. So here we can't check whether the user has open
    documents in child system (i.e, SRM system), even if
    we check and block the deletion of user in HR, from HR side this is not
    acceptable from HR the user should be removed immediately. If the user
    is deleted or delimited in HR side when the user is replicated to SRM
    system the BP relationship will be deleted this is the reason that the
    open documents could not be processed.
    So the please follow either of these options,
    1. Before deleting a user from HR make sure that all the open documents
    are completed or assigned to some other
    active requestor / recipient.
    2. All the open documents associated to the deleted business partner or
    user should be archived.
    3. If the user is deleted in HR before closing the documents and still
    want to access the open documents of the deleted user / Business Partner
    they can use the Z Report which will replace the deleted Business
    Partner with active business partner.

    business partner.

  • User is getting email delivery failure when processing via SAP as it tries to send an email to a user who have left the company

    Hi Experts,
    I need to remove a name on a group list in Outlook as the user is getting email delivery failure when processing via SAP (He sends the invoice for approval and emails get sent to different users for approval.) One of those users has left the company and so the user gets a email delivery failure error.
    How do I remove this user who is no longer with the company?
    The user is saying: When I approve an invoice in SAP it sends an email notification through outlook. One of those users is no longer with the company so it cannot deliver the notification, and in return send a delivery failure (in outlook). I am approving the invoices from my SAP Workplace inbox.
    How do we know what group the email is going to?
    Please let me know if you have seen this issue before. Greatly appreciate your help.

    Hi,
    Please check whether you are using a custom z program for sending emails of approved invoices to users. If yes then either the user email ids are hardcoded in the program else a ztable is maintained for them.

    hrmmm..... I don't see any "Pan Law". I'm running Logic 7.2.3 btw.
    I think it might be my audio drivers.
    "I have a FW 410 interface, everything seems to work fine except for the panning. Instead of panning properly, the volume is turned down when I pan left and volume is raised when I pan right. This only happens when I have the FW 410 interface selected in the audio/hardware setup. Panning under the built-in audio works fine so I would imagine it's the M-Audio drivers for the FW 410 that need a working update for Leopard."
    Can anyone confirm this?

    If you have the original receipts, you can take them to an Apple Store and they may be able to remove the activation lock. A good lesson learned to have an employee clear a device when leaving.

    You can reset your Apple ID password via the steps in the first article below.  I would try the option to answer your security questions.  If those steps do not work then you may need to reach out to our account security team to reset this old Apple ID password.  Once this is done you should be able to access your old DRM protected purchases.

  • ECM spent budget was clean up when approval manager reject an org unit?

    When an approval manager rejects an org unit, the spent budget of this org unit is clean up but the budget still distributed to each employee in that org in the infotype 0759 therefore leads to inconsistency of budget in ECM.
    Is there any body experience this issue?

    i lived through this painful process very much, we made a quick SM30 tcode transaction to be able to do data maintenace on HRPADPM - this is where the budget spent amount is actually saved. 
    the key for this table is stored on the budget unit to org unit relationship in HRP1001.
    if anyone has a better process to fix out sync spent budgets please let us know...

    SAP MDM offers change tracking. Unfortunately I read in this forum, that MDM does not seem to offer a roll-back functionality. In other word, there is no standard function for undoing changes. Is that correct?
    Would I have to write my own roll-back tool then?

    Ans: yes you can use the checkin/checkout functionality. once the records are checked out, you can go for roll back.
    Can I also roll back more than one import? In other words: assume I have run 3 imports since the beginning of the month. Can I roll back all 3 of them so that I have the data from the beginning of the month?
    Ans:  for all the 3 imports you have checkout records, select all those records and you can go for  roll back.

    Languages usually provide more than one way of doing the same thing. This encourages different styles of coding.
    I have found functions returning Boolean values useful in telling me whether the functionality in the code encapsulated in a function has worked successfully or not, in addition to returning OUT parameters that I need to use in the rest of the program. This way I can include the call to the function in IF ... Then ... end if; logic. By using this contstruct the code reads logically and is able to document the flow of control also. It helps in "killing two birds with one stone".
    As one becomes more adept at using a language, one appreciates the facility of doing something more than one way, to suit one's style, I guess ...

Those parts of the 0001.MTS clip in the timeline were Danger Striped and can be relinked but now have no edits anymore. The edits are apparently only linked with the original 0001.MTS source clip but extend beyond the actual range of the actual source clip. At the time I thought it was weird that premiere displayed the whole string of clips as one (with one name and no breaks) but it all works in the original project file but cannot be transferred to another location without multiple clips showing Danger Stripes.I need to move it and preserve the dozens of motion and opacity edits linked to the apparently oversized timeline clip. HELP!! any ideas?

  • When an employee is no longer with the company and their iPad is still linked to their iTunes account, how can we unlink it when we cannot contact the employee?

    I am the IT support for a big company and we use a lot of iPad's. The one problem we are running into is when an employee leaves the company and their i Pad is still link, we need to use this iPad for another employe but we are unable to wipe it and start from factory cause it wants us to log into their itunes account.  If they used their work email to set up their iTunes account this is not an issue as we can access their work email. But if they use their personal email and we do not have a way to contact them then this becomes a big issue. Is there any work around with this at all?

    Did you try to reset the device by holding the sleep and home button until the Apple logo comes back again?

  • Epson Stylus Photo 2200--Roll Paper function not found

    After I reset my printer function for another problem, I lost my ability to print on Roll Paper altogether. The other fuctions that go along with the Stylus Photo 2200 driver are not made available.  I cannot print my panoramas.  I have gone around and around and around with Epson who finally seemingly gave up.
    When Stylus Photo 2200 is listed as the printer only Epson (SP2200) comes up as a companion printer.  No matter what I do, and I have done everything from dumping everything Epson and starting completely over to every thing Epson suggested. 
    It seems the menu Printer Setup Utility has changed and when the printer is listed, it only offers only "Printer Model" that stays greyed out instead of "Page Setup" which was what gave me the functions I needed to add in the past .  Is there a way to revert back to the old Printer Setup Utility?  Using the Epson Printer Utility doesn't work because, although it shows the printer driver, it offers no way to add the Roll Paper function.  I hope this makes sense and that someone can figure this out!  Thanks

    Known bug.  Quit the Camera App, double-tap the home key and delete Camera from the recent apps bar. Fire it up again, should be good.
