I need to be able to talk to a real person at apple, not a service tech.

I have taken my 8 year old mac book pro to apple and also to an independent apple authorized repair business. The screen will not work. Apple told me that they could not fix it even though I was sure it was the same problem my son's mac book pro had, which they fixed for free (bought both at the same time).  We had dealt with this problem before so I knew how to check all the obvious stuff. I told apple that I thought they could fix it and they were just choosing not to fix it. The apple tech said sorry no can do. So I took it to the independent repair place and sure enough it is, as I knew all along, a faulty graphics processor on the logic board.  The tech said our mac book pro models were notorious for this DEFECT but apple no longer supports their extended warranty program to correct the problem.  My problem: I need a phone number to the apple people in charge of making decisions about this kind of problem.  I would like to work this out with them before I use my option of last resort -- I sue them in small claims court for the rather hefty repair price. Bottom line: my old mac book pro would still be working right now if they had not originally sold me a product they knew had a defective part.

    That's because the Discussions are user-to-user only; Apple does not provide technical support through these forums. If they have something blanket to say, they do it through an article in the KnowledgeBase.
    As to your problem; it is just with some tracks, or with any track you import or purchase? If it's just certain tracks from the iTunes Music Store, they may well have arrived corrupted from the record company (the record companies provide the tracks; Apple doesn't handle the compression themselves). In such a case, you need to contact the iTunes Music Store customer support department through the form at the bottom of this web page and explain the problem to them. There is no telephone number; Apple, as is the case with all download music stores I've seen, doesn't find it cost-effective to provide telephone technical support.
    If it's all tracks that are affected, then perhaps this KnowledgeBase article will help:

    So just authorize that second system. All you need is to have it connected to the Internet long enough for it to contact the iTunes Music Store. If the track stutters on that system as well, then the track is almost certainly defective. Contact the iTMS through the link I provided above.

    I am showing $50 in my account balance, which is my monthly fee, but for some reason it is saying my monthly unlimited plan has expired. I have been trying to get a real person on the phone for over an hour now to no avail. 611, even if I push 0's, eventually says "We're sorry YOU'RE having trouble, goodbye", as does 1-888-294-6804 and 1-800-922-0204. Someone please help! I am furious and in tears! This is my only phone and can't afford to pay by the minute. I shouldn't have to drive to a store, in tears and angry, to talk to a real person. I am VERY disappointed in Verizon Wireless customer service.

    Try this it usually works for me Dial the Prepaid Customer Service 1-888-294-6804 when the 1st recorder message starts push # 4 then when the next message starts  push # 4 again,  when the mext message starts push # 5 this will take you to a human voice.  You don't have to lesson to the whole message just click the numbers as soon as the message starts, it saves alot of time. Good Luck.

    How does a person talk to a real person at Verizon these days.  I have been trying for three days to get help.  I am on hold an average of 45 minutes before I hang up feeling frustrated.  I can't get a live chat or send an email, so what can a customer do?  I am so fed up with Verizon and there bloody contracts are ridiculous.  Every little change requires a contract renewal.  I am soooo frustrated!!!!

Why when I call to set up a payment plan I get an auto response the sets up my payment date with no option to decline? Why hasn't the FCC shut this company down for breech of contract and lying to its customers?

    Breach of contract? You are in breach of contract by not paying for services rendered.
    Why should you be late paying an invoice and yet expect Verizon to keep your device on? You are breaching the contract.
    #PMT from your device gives you an option for payment arrangements. The system more than likely can only extend the due dates by a certain number of days.
    *611 or 1-800-922-0204 and ask to speak to financial services and ask them to extend the date.
    Verizon would be out of business if everyone just paid them when they please.

    Yes, . . .Customer Service has been awesome most times, . . this shortcut should help bunches with the phone tree, which may need revamped some also.   It's Telesales, Shipping,  and  Returns that need an overhauling!

    The login keychain is just your stored passwords. Mac OS calls any set of stored passwords a "Keychain" which is viewable in the "Keychain Access" application. Your basic, catch-all keychain is your login keychain. Basically, you should grant Safari access unless you have a good reason not to.

    I finally got a gmail account and have tried to create a calendar for my family using google calendar.  The calendar appears on my Torch 9810 but will not sinc with google calendar.  I keep reading that I need enhanced google mail plug in but can not find where to get this plug in.  I am not tech savy, so any help would be appreciated.  I am a long time Blackberry customer (15 years) and in the almost 2 years of having the Torch, I am ready to huck it out the window and give up.  I loved my Bold, the Torch does not compare in my ease of use.

    From what I understand, Google discontinued support for the Enhanced PlugIn as well as many other things...but that's a change that Google made, not BlackBerry. Further, via the available OTA sync capability for Google Calendar, only the primary calendar can be synchronized...no others.
    So, I'm a bit unclear about your specifics...it sounds like you created (on Google) a sub-calendar for "family", and somehow got that to appear on your BB, but cannot get it to sync OTA with Google. But all of that sounds contradictory to what I understand...in that you should not have been able to get that sub-calendar to appear on your BB at all since Google only supports the primary calendar.
    So some further details about all of that will likely help greatly in understanding, and hopefully then providing you with useful guidance.

    I've looked on the contact us page a couple times, everything just redirects to more pages that do not seem to help. How do I call to talk to someone regarding billing? I recently merged my wife's plan with my previous family plan and was assured (with actual numbers displayed on a screen) that the billing would save us money. So far, it appears to cost us significantly more than the previous two plans we had (with two lines of unlimited data, to boot). Even if you discount the two unlimited plans to 2GiB of data, our new plan is only 6GiB combined, and approx. 30 dollars more than the previous separate plans.
    If this is not actually, cheaper, I'd like to know how to reverse the damage Verizon store sales personnel did to our accounts and get back to what we had. I feel extremely ****** off, and the fact that I cannot find a number to call customer service does not help in the slightest.

    Starting with your last statement,  you will not be able to switch her back to her old plan. It doesn't exist anymore. Also if this is your first bill after the switch it's gonna have prorated in advance charges and it's possible there will be a refund in her old account.
    As far as contacting VZW there's a big olé "contact us" button at the top of this screen....then in the middle right click on phobe, then account, and it shows you the number 8009220204. Dial and follow the prompts. Easy peasy.

    Providing you know your ID and password, you should be able to rewrite your security questions. Start here, change your country if necessary and go to manage your account > password & security.
