What is showing on your iPad's screen ?
If it's on the progress bar which hasn't moved for a while then try a soft-reset and see if that gets the update to complete : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds, after which the Apple logo should reappear and it will hopefully boot up properly.
If it doesn't then try recovery mode and restore to your backup : If you can't update or restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
If it's showing something else ... ?

The other day, I had charged my iPad overnight so that I could take it to university with me for the day, and when I had switched it on the next day the battery was on 5% and I had not used it since charge.

Your battery may be dying. THey are only good for so many charges/discharges. If you have an apple store near by make an appointment and have them check itout

Connect the device to the computer with which you normally sync and open iTunes.
Note: If iTunes asks you to enter the passcode, try another computer that you have synced with. Otherwise, go to "If you have never synced your device with iTunes, or you do not have access to a computer" section below.
If the device is still disabled, or if iTunes does not automatically sync your device, sync the device with iTunes.
If you have chosen to encrypt your backup, it will contain the passcode. Disable backup encryption before restoring from backup. Learn more about iOS backups in iTunes.
When the backup and sync is complete, select Restore from Backup and choose the most recent backup of your device.

FORCE IPAD INTO RECOVERY MODE
1. Turn off iPad
2. Turn on computer and launch iTunes (make sure you have the latest version of iTune)
3. Plug USB cable into computer's USB port
4. Hold Home button down and plug the other end of cable into docking port.
DO NOT RELEASE BUTTON until you see picture of iTunes and plug
5. Release Home button.
ON COMPUTER
6. iTunes has detected iPad in recovery mode. You must restore this iPad before it can be used with iTunes.
7. Select "Restore iPad"...
Note:
1. Data will be lost if you do not have backup
2. You must follow step 1 to step 4 VERY CLOSELY.
3. Repeat the process if necessary.

HT4623 I updated to iOS 6.1, now the mail application will not load. My settings for each email account are still in there, I have synched several times, and rebooted several times. Sill nothing. Why is there no support for upgrade issues ??

I refuse to pay for support for an issue caused by an upgrade. That is just ridiculous.

I'm having the exact same problem. When I select an email the mail application pauses for a couple seconds, the screen goes black and then I go to the home screen. Have you found anything more on this issue? Didn't have this problem before upgrading to 6.1.

My computer says firefix is running....I can not find it and when I click on the icon it will not open. What can I do?

I can not get firefox to open when I click the icon. A box appears and tells me firefix is running but I can not find it anywhere. I have tried to delete it and everything else I can think of and it will not open. Please tell me what I can do.

I used to have this problem on my old XP computer, too. The easiest way to fix it is to restart your computer. Use Shutdown and restart. This will stop the firefox process that is hanging and won't show up on your screen.
If you are somewhat computer literate, you can look at all your running processes by pressing Ctrl Shift Esc all at once using the three finger salute. Look at the list of processes to find firefox, highlight it, and select end process. Then go back and click on your shortcut to your firefox to regain control and display it on your screen.
Be sure to upgrade to the latest version of firefox, Version 5. It works much better than previous versions.

More then half the Time, FF will not completely close and remains open in processes

In order to open FF, I have to go to task manager and close the process from the previous usage.
I just recently installed FF (few months ago) after a long time away from this product. I have reset it a few times to no avail. I dont use 3rd part tool bars, or search add ons.
Only have 3 add ons, ADblock and flash block. divx

#Make it a habit to close Firefox with Exit or Close, not the "X" close button in the upper right corner. That really applies to all applications, as it allows the application to close properly.

I don't know if I'm repeating my question. I can't restore my ipad after updating to latest ios. The battery went low, I had to eject and plug in to charge. The set up will not complete without resoring from icloud or itunes (i backed up to computer using itunes) or setting up the ipad as a New ipad. I want to restore all my stuff but the message I get in itune says "Find my ipad must be turned off before 'ipad' can be restored". Go to icloud settings on your ipad and turn off Find My iPad before restoring your iPad.". I cant' get to this setting on my ipad because the set up is not complete!!! I'm stuck. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm afraid if I set up the ipad as new it will backup the new ipad over my previous backup and then I will loose all my photos, songs, aps, notes,......

I have the same problem and we can't simply just restore from the backup. It says that I have to set up my iPad through restoring. So I tried restoring it in iTunes but it won't restore until I have to turn off this **** "Find My iPad" crap but I couldn't because the set up's not complete and it won't let me go to my settings unless I set it up. So basically it's asking me to go to my settings but before I could go to it I have to restore, and in order to restore I have to go to settings. Get where I'm at?

Yes, and, I try to restore. I have the T-Mobile sim card in it just to clarify. It will not let me get passed that, it does not accept the t-mobile sim card. i tried restoring it using wifi, cellular, and i cant get i tunes. Is there a way (or a setting) for my individual folders in Mail to automatically update across all devices? For example, if I transfer an email to a folder for follow-up on my PC - say 10th of the following month - the same folder in Mail on my iPhone doesn't update until I actually go into the folder and update manually. Interestingly though, if I create a new folder on any of my devices they automatically appear on the other devices so it is just the actual contents that I am referring to here. Appreciate any help or guidance.

You can turn mail off in the settings but then you can't use it for anything, including the "test" that you want to perform.
Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars>Account Name>Mail>Off. That totally turns off the mail account.
As long as mail is turned on and you launch the app, it will look for an download new mail.
