I really need help with my wifi on my iPod touch 4g?

I do not know much about technology, so I dont know what to do. Anyways, my iPod touch will not connect to the internet. Apps such as iFunny, Pandora, Safari, Facebook Messenger, etc. all say that I am not connect to the internet, even though that the signal strength bars in the top left corner shows that I am connected to my wifi at my house. I have had this iPod touch for a little over a year now, but I would think that it would start to die this quickly. I have also tried to restart my iPod. Wouldnt work. I have tried to turned the wifi on and off. Wouldnt work. I have tried to troubleshoot and have the iPod forget the network and put my information back in. Wouldnt work. I really dont want to fully reboot my iPod until I absolutely know that that would resolve my wifi problems. PLEASE HELP! Thank you in advance. :/

Does the iOS device connect to other networks?
Does the iOS device see the network?
Any error messages?
Do other devices now connect?
Did the iOS device connect before?
Try the following to rule out a software problem:                 
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Power off and then back on your router
.- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
- iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
- Wi-Fi: Unable to connect to an 802.11n Wi-Fi network       
- iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points
- Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem and it does not connect to any networks make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

    I have the original MacBook (2GHz Intel Core Duo) and I just installed Snow Leopard.  My software is all up to date and my system drive has 42 GB of space available. I have an iPod Touch 32 GB 3rd Gen and iPad 1 32 GB that I previously have been syncing with an iBook G4 PowerPC with no problems.  The iPod is running iOS 6. 
    Now, I want to sync them with this MacBook but when I open iTunes and connect the iPod, I go to click Backup (to this Computer(or even to iCloud)), it gives me an error message that my computer does not have enough space to backup.  The iPod is only 17 GB full.  So, I tried clicking Sync, in an effort to just get my iPod data into my iTunes and on the computer that way.  But it only did a 3 step sync and didn't actually transfer anything from the iPod.  My iPod was NOT wiped clean however(which is what I was actually worried would happen).  So I gave up on the iPod. 
    Moving on to the iPad, I clicked back up and it WAS able to backup.  The Available space on my system drive went from about 42.8 GB to 42.25 GB, so I figured it may have done something.  Then I tried to Sync and it did the same 3 step sync and nothing was transferred to the computer and the iPad left untouched.
    I am extremely new to Snow Leopard, so maybe I am missing something.  Does anyone have any idea what is going on?  Ultimately my goal is to just get everything from my iPod and iPad onto this MacBook.

    Make sure that you click on each tab on the top of the iTunes window and select what you want to be synched.

    IF you do decide to replace the hard drive you might consider a solid state drive, less power, less heat and WAYYYYY faster. I replaced mine with a Samsung 840 250GB SSD and it's the best upgrade I've ever done to a computer.

    That is correct. You have a 2G iPod that can only go to iOS 4.2.1. Fpr automatic downloads you need iOS 4.3 or later.

    I really need help with my brand new MSI R7970-2PMD3GD5/OC. I've purchased it two days ago and I didn't really have time to test the card until yesterday. The card is I think way to hot for my "liking". It idles at 56c-60c, at full load in Heaven benchmark 3.0 in 1920x1080, extreme tessellation and 8xAA card reaches 95c-97c. Stock cloacks are 1010Mhz/1375Mhz and stock voltage is 1,174v. Case is being cooled by two Noctua NF-P12 fans. Also I tried lowering the voltage and "underclocking" the card to a standard 925Mhz in small increments, but it doesn't help at all. Each and every time it results in BSOD and dx dll errors and complete system failures. Replacing the card wouldn't be a problem if I lived in a "normal" country that has access to a steady supply. Retailer that sold me a card told me that only 5 cards total have been imported from the launch day and told me that i bought the "last" card in my country. They could order a replacement but it would take them more then a month to do so.:( Ohhh and one more thing I don't overclock, everything in my case is at their default values.
    Recently, I read that "Amd released" a bios update for a standard reference boards that turns them into a "GHZ editions". Also lot of users report a lower voltage requirements and lower temps with that "boost bios". As I understand this card pcb is not Amd's reference board design, I could be wrong it's not that uncommon.. So I didn't want to risk warranty by flashing it to a position 1. Will MSI release the boost bios for this model of card? I am humbly asking MSI staff on how to proceed regarding this problem. I would be immensely grateful for any help you could provide.

    They get better for other components, but not for gpu. Two Noctua NF-P12's are cooling the case, first one is positioned above gpu, left side next to cpu. Other is right beneath the gpu, right side of case. Just under the hdd section of the case. I tested each and every component with my backup card nv 8500gt. They function within the specified parameters. I'm getting somewhat worried.

    I really need help with re-activating my little sisters iPad, i already set it up a couple of months ago when i bought it,but unfortunately she disabled it by forgetting her password. i followed the necessary steps to reset it again, when the iPad came back on and we put the apple id and password it kept refusing it, i even reset the password, which sent the verification the email account,  i followed the steps to reset, But then i noticed the message at the top of the activate screen with the message “this iPad is currently linked to the following apple ID _______ with a a few hidden dashes, but at the end of the email it says co.uk, but the problem is the email ends with .com. I have no idea how this happened,  and its driving me insane and my little sister only used her iPad for a month before this happened. for some reason the the iPad email address ends in co.uk when the actual email ends with .com

  • I REALLY NEED HELP WITH MY CURVE 9300'S WIFI!

    i have a blackberry curve 9300, OS5. I got it secondhand. It worked really great, but the problem started when I've done that thing within the host routing table. Though my wifi is connected, I can't use the internet. whenever I tried the BB browser and any other application (e.g. facebook, opera mini, etc.) i get a message that says 'i am not in an area that supports blah blah...' or 'unable to connect to internet please try again later'. I checked the browser under browser config and it is set to my local network provider. i changed it to hotspot browser, saved it. But whenever I go back it also goes back to my local network provider. i have tried almost EVERY troubleshooting I've read on this forums and in other forums but still no luck. The problem worsened when I did a security wipe on the emails, contacts, etc.
    -APN settings are disabled
    -default browser set to hotspot browser
    -firewall disabled
    -data services are on
    Everyone said that it has nothing to do with that activation enterprise so I did not configured it after wiping.
    I also tried doing a hard reboot (pulling the battery out and waiting for 5 minutes before turning it on) but it will only fix the problem for sometime and it will go back again.
    Calling my network provider would just suggest to get a plan when in fact, I was able to use the device's wifi well before without any plan.
    I don't want to upgrade my BB to OS6 coz it easily drains the battery of device and I cannot afford doing that because I go out a lot.
    I also tried changing my sim card and network provider but wasn't successful.
    I also tried deleting the name of my local network provider in the service book under options.
    What do you think could be the problem? Any suggestions? I really, really, REALLY, need help.

    A supported data plan from your mobile network provider may actually be required to use the Facebook for BlackBerry smartphones application as well as the browser. I would recommend verifying with them which services they support over a Wi-Fi connection without a data plan.

    My first guess is you're simply generating an error. You'll always want to load this on your device in quick debugging over USB so you can see any errors you're generating.
    Outside that, if you plan on accessing anything inside the SWF you should be loading the SWF into the correct context. Relevant sample code:

    If you're doing this on iOS you'll need to stripped SWFs if you plan on using any coding (ABC) inside the files. You mentioned iOS so I won't get into that here, but just incase, here's info on stripping external SWFs:

  • Really need help with this, can't use safari on my ipod

    I clicked on a link on a website for my school, and then it opened in another page. idk if i clicked something or this happened on its own, but then a video tried to open from the image. I've messed around with my settings, and i can't seem to be able to get a youtube video to open on my ipod if it's from a website, i always have to go directly from youtube to find anything. So it says "could not load video", the only option is to click okay, so I do, and then it gives me the main ipod youtube page, with history and search and all that stuff. I give up and decide to just look at something else, and click safari, except it goes straight to the image, which goes straight to the unloadable video on another program, and then i have to close the page. It goes in circles, but it means that safari is unusable, and my computer is broken, so i really need it for internet.
    Also, is there a way to make youtube videos viewable from a website link?
    And why, when I search up a popular song on youtube on my ipod, and type in that i want the lyric video, i only get live versions, and there is never any lyric videos, and i usually detest live versions of songs?? and then when i search the same thing on someone's computer, i get my lovely lyric videos? Is Youtube angry at Apple or something?
    aand why were the older ipods less crash-prone?

    A lote of sitesuse the Flash version of YourTube. no iOS devices support flash. The you have to either use the YourTube app or Safari to go to YouTube since Safari tells the YouTube site to use HTML5.
    For other problems withwith Safari try going to Settins>Safari and clear Histor, Cookies and Data.
    Also reset the iPod. Nothing is lost.

  • I really need help with my decision in purchasing an iPhone 4! =(

    I will just go to my main concern.
    I lost the phone of my aunt which is an iPhone 4. It was stolen from my bag. Out of common sense, I have to find a replacement because I know the my aunt invested money on it. However, brand new iPhone 4 here on our country are still pretty expensive for my budget. It is also hard to find becuase mostly stores no longer carry it becuase there is now iPhone 5. So, i have no choice, but to purchase a second-hand iPhone 4. So far, the second-hand iPhone 4 that I saw are from Singapore and Japan.
    Now, my question. How can I be sure that the iPhone 4 that I purchase will work in the United States when my aunt will go back to the US. She works and live in the United States. I want to make sure that she can use the phone when she goes back to the United States.
    Please please please I need help.

    The $8 a month is nominal compared to the benefit and peace of mind. I have had it on all my phones and typically you have to ask for it.
    Over the past two years I have used it twice. My phone at the time was an HTC Evo, about a $500 phone. To replace outside the 2yr contact you must pay full price. That is $1000 for 2 phones.
    The insurance cost me a couple hundred plus the deductibles. That's under $500 to replace two phones, or a savings of about $500 or 50%.
    Even if you replace 1 phone in two years, your saving a few hundred- more if its an iPhone which retails starting at $700.
    It all depends on where and how you use your device. If you never replaced one before the you may be better off without. I also don't put cases or screen protectors on my phones. I wouldn't dare put one on my beautiful iPhone 5.
    Just a thought, if you don't have insurance, you should be ready to drop $750 at any given time for a new iPhone. Otherwise you end up with a temporary flip.

    hi all im posting here in the hope that some one can show me some light at the end of the tunnel as to my bb problem as its starting to get depressing now!
    long story short ive had bt bb for 4 weeks now and im paying for 8mg as thats the fastest my area can provide but my transfer speed is locked at 2mg maximum. countless phone calls later they said its a throughput issue and they will put a request in to reset my profile and everything will be fine. as i thought it didnt work. lots of phone calls later they said i had to wait 10 days after the request is put in for my speed to increase. waited 12 days and still nothing! more phone calls later they eventually sent an engineer round who said himself he cant see why my downloads are locked at 2 mg when after his own tests he said the line should be giving me at the very least a stable 6.5mg so he proceeded to put a request in of his own to a bt computer thats codenamed "rambo" to increase the speed to my house. he said i should see results after 4 hrs but in some rare cases its taken 72 hrs to kick in. so i ended up waiting 4 days and still **bleep** all. im so so sick of bt and all the **bleep** they are feeding me as they keep telling me every single time they say there gonna fix it that this time it will 100% fix my problem and it never does. really feel im being ripped off cos im paying for the top package in my area and im not getting anything anywhere near what i should be. can anyone please help with my problem it would be very much apreciated.

  • I really need help with my internet on my mac

    Okay I have a 13 unibody mbp 2009 and i cannot connect to the internet in any way (either airport or eithernet cord). I have reset everything and it still doesnt work. All the other computers in the house do. Even the bootcamp windows side works on my mac just the mac side doesnt. I am running 1.5.8.

    Open System Preferences/Network
    Select the location you want to fix (e.g. Home) in the top selector
    In the left hand column delete all the Services except Airport (which should say Connected ?)
    Click the Advanced button
    In the window that opens delete all Networks except your home/router named one
    Click TCP/IP
    Set Configure IPv4 to Using DHCP
    Click OK bottom right and you should see the Router fill in the number 192.168.2.1 (or similar) and your IPv4 address as 192.168.2.2 (or similar)
    Click the DNS button and add 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4
    Click OK
    Click Apply
    Close the panel
    You should have an Internet connection through your router

    I am trying to sync a single band from my laptop to my iPhone. This is my new laptop and I have no transfered all my music from my old computer onto here, so I can not sync through the cable or else I will have to remove all my exsisting information on my phone, I do not have all my music on my laptop yet. All I want is to simply transfer a few songs from my iTunes to my phone wirelessly and I can't. I enabled the button when I plug in my phone that tells me I can sync wirelessly but when I disconnect it refuses to work. Please I need help.
