I rented a movie from iTunes and now it's not working

I rented a movie from iTunes on my iPad and it started downloading. For some reason it stopped. The movie is showing up in the video app but when I hit play or the download cloud it tells me I have rented the movie but have not downloaded it. I go back to iTunes and the download section is gone. I go back to the movie, where you can buy or rent, and it says watch....which if clicked on takes me back to videos. And then it again tells me I have rented the movie but have not downloaded it and to go to Downloads to manage my downloads. THERE IS NO DOWNLOAD SECTION OR OPTION IN ITUNES....IT IS GONE!! I have closed iTunes and restarted my iPad several times and am still having the same issue. I have rented movies in the past with no issues. I have NO IDEA what is going on and am very very frustrated. Hopefully someone can help.

I would ask iTunes Store support for help with this. You may never be able to get the movie to download on your own now.
Go here and then tap on Connecting and downloading, then tap on Movie Rentals. You can have someone contact you, you can chat online or you can get email support. I would opt for the phone call or online chat.

That won't be possible. You can only view a rental on the device used to do so, unless it is done via computer (in which case you can stream using home sharing)

I have rented ten movies from iTunes store and to my chargin they don't play on my iPad after it indicates it's been already downloaded. This has happened to me a couple of times and I just ignore it and rerent the movies. But now it's all the eight movies I rented and two tv shows, one of which I bought a seasons ticket. Trying to figure ot how to rent movies from iTunes and watch w/o being connected to web. The dude at the apple store said that when I download it I can designate if I want it downloaded to my device (ie: MacBook) or my Cloud...but I don't see that option being given. Any help? I have connected my friend's ipod to my itunes and now it is not working

I tried to connect my friend's ipod to my iTunes(from my id) and i tried to update his operating system. iTunes started downloading new OS but, when installing there occurs a problem and now ipod is not having any OS also it can't be connected to my laptop(iTune).
Now what should i do?

I just recently got an iPad (4th generation) and I've recently rented two movies off of iTunes, and they loaded and worked perfectly fine. Ever since then I haven't downloaded any new apps, or made any changes to my iPad. Just tonight, I rented ONE movie, and it won't let me download it now cause I apparently don't have enough storage?? Like I said earlier, I rented TWO movies and was able to watch them, and haven't downloaded or made any chances to my iPad to make the usage of it change.

How much free space do you currently have on your iPad : Settings > General > About > Available ?
And how big is the film - it should be on it's description page in the store. Some films are over 5 gig.
And do the previous rentals show in Settings > General > Usage > Videos - if they do then try deleting them from there.

I rented a movie 2 days ago off itunes. When i try to play it now, it says it runs out in 47 hours and is so blurry that i cannot make out the movie. Please help, this is a brand new laptop.

Once you start to play a rental you have a finite amount of time - in some cases it is 24 hours and in others I believe 48 hours. You can play as many times as you like during the period.
You have up to 30 days to start to watch the rental but one you start you have 24/48 hours to watch the rental.
Check that your display setting are correct in System prefs.

I just rented a movie today of itunes and it is in my rentals however this is my first time renting a movie and i tried to sync it onto my ipod touch version: 4.2.1, (I am going on holiday tomorrow and need it on my ipod before then). I go onto my syncing page and go to movies and my rentals are there and i can move them across to my ipod but underneath it says - 'You must be connected to the internet to transfer rented films' but the thing is i am connected and when i click apply it tries to sync it but then they go back to where they were. I rented a movie and it won't play...it shows that time has elapsed on the movie but it is just a blank white screen.

If you've downloaded it on the iPad then it should be in the Videos app. If it's not in there then have you got a film age rating set in Settings > General > Restrictions that is hiding it ?
