If you've downloaded it on the iPad then it should be in the Videos app. If it's not in there then have you got a film age rating set in Settings > General > Restrictions that is hiding it ?

That won't be possible. You can only view a rental on the device used to do so, unless it is done via computer (in which case you can stream using home sharing)

This has happened to me a couple of times and I just ignore it and rerent the movies. But now it's all the eight movies I rented and two tv shows, one of which I bought a seasons ticket. I rented a movie from iTunes on my iPad and it started downloading. For some reason it stopped. The movie is showing up in the video app but when I hit play or the download cloud it tells me I have rented the movie but have not downloaded it. I go back to iTunes and the download section is gone. I go back to the movie, where you can buy or rent, and it says watch....which if clicked on takes me back to videos. And then it again tells me I have rented the movie but have not downloaded it and to go to Downloads to manage my downloads. THERE IS NO DOWNLOAD SECTION OR OPTION IN ITUNES....IT IS GONE!! I have closed iTunes and restarted my iPad several times and am still having the same issue. I have rented movies in the past with no issues. I have NO IDEA what is going on and am very very frustrated. Hopefully someone can help.

I would ask iTunes Store support for help with this. You may never be able to get the movie to download on your own now.
Go here and then tap on Connecting and downloading, then tap on Movie Rentals. You can have someone contact you, you can chat online or you can get email support. I would opt for the phone call or online chat.

Trying to figure ot how to rent movies from iTunes and watch w/o being connected to web. The dude at the apple store said that when I download it I can designate if I want it downloaded to my device (ie: MacBook) or my Cloud...but I don't see that option being given. Any help? Traveling Tues and I'd like to get a few movies set for my trip.

I just recently got an iPad (4th generation) and I've recently rented two movies off of iTunes, and they loaded and worked perfectly fine. Ever since then I haven't downloaded any new apps, or made any changes to my iPad. Just tonight, I rented ONE movie, and it won't let me download it now cause I apparently don't have enough storage?? Like I said earlier, I rented TWO movies and was able to watch them, and haven't downloaded or made any chances to my iPad to make the usage of it change.

How much free space do you currently have on your iPad : Settings > General > About > Available ?
And how big is the film - it should be on it's description page in the store. Some films are over 5 gig.
And do the previous rentals show in Settings > General > Usage > Videos - if they do then try deleting them from there.

Try closing the app completely and then see if it works when you re-open it : from the home screen double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Angry Bird Seasons app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
If that doesn't work then you could try a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.
A third option if neither work is to delete the app and then re-download it

I just bought Apple Tv. Everything is hooked up and home sharing is turned on (imac, ipad, apple tv). When i play my itunes through my tv the song will play for apprx. 45 to 60 seconds and then cuts off and goes back to the main menu.
