As per the error it shows that the Recovery partition on the unit is corrupted. Please contact HP Technical support and order for the set off Recovery Disc.

I'm using an i Mac O sx 10.6.8 Even though I'm using wired ethernet access, I can turn airport on and let it run while using the wired connection. I suppose that condition may cause the errors you're getting. Is it at all possible that you have your Airport wireless in your Mac Pro turned ON?

I'm almost certain the white colouring is underneath the glass, so it wouldnt be coming into contact with your sweaty hands

My Ipad mini displays the message disabled. I tried to reset on itunes but no luck. It gives me an error message that ipad has been locked with passcode. Tells me to enter the passcode I dont remember it. How can I reset without passcode.

Force iPad into Recovery Mode (Step by Step)
1. Hold Sleep/Wake button down and slide to turn off iPad
2. Turn on computer and launch iTune (make sure you have the latest version of iTune)
3. Plug USB cable into computer's USB port
4. Hold Home button down and plug the other end of cable into docking port. Do not release button until you see picture of iTune and plug.
5. Release Home button.
On Computer
6. iTune has detected iPad in recovery mode. You must restore this iPad before it can be used with iTune.
7. Select "Restore iPad"...

Doing a number of searches on this error, it is related to VMWare.
In retrospect, these errors seem to appear after I installesd VMware Player.

There are two fairly simple ways to eliminate the warning.
Remove the .gtkrc file from your home directory on the host.
Note: This causes all applications based on GTK+ to use the default theme. Any settings stored in ~/.gtkrc (or in files that it includes) may revert to defaults. If you regularly use custom styles in your other applications, you may prefer the second solution.
Contact Red Hat for a 32-bit Bluecurve theme engine compatible with GTK+ version 1, or locate the Bluecurve theme on the Web. (Bluecurve is found in the redhat-artwork RPM.) Installing a compatible Bluecurve theme allows VMware Workstation or the VMware Console to use the default Bluecurve theme specified by the .gtkrc file.
If, in your case, the warning message refers to a theme other than Bluecurve, you need to locate and install a 32-bit engine for that theme, compatible with GTK+ version 1.----

The crazy thing in this last part is:
- it opens the Clearlooks theme
- then, a few lines later, is looking for Bluecurve
To sum up:
It's related to VMWare Player, and themes.
Both themes are installed.
However, the installed theme is 64 bit.
VMWare wants 32 bit.
Any ideas on how to solve this issue?

Trying to add a new user, but gives unknown error

Hi Guys,
When I go to site actions >> site setting >> site permissions >> and try to add a new user, it gives me "unknown error". Any ideas why this is happening? This is happening only on some of the sites. Thank you.

PDF App works fine on Acrobat 7 but gives compilation Errors in Livecycle

I have a PDF application that has been working fine in Acrobat 7 for years (for a Fortune 50 company). We had to upgrade our environments to Acrobat 8/9 and the same app either HANGS or Shuts Down when opened in Acrobat 8/9 (Reader and Professional). When I timed some sections of the code, I got down to the following statement (Click action of a button):

Where Home is a subform on page 1 and APHomeSF is a subform within Home form. This statement takes a fraction of a second in Pro 7 but 18 seconds in Pro 8. The APHomeSF subform has a checkbox, text field, date field and a button. Even when I changed the reset statement to resetting ONLY the checkbox:

Pro 8 still took 18 secs to reset the data. My question is that have any BASIC things changed in Acrobat 8/9 from Ver 7 that are deprecated or not supported, which may cause our application to take longer to run or just shut down.
I am using Livecycle Designer to edit the application. When I open the application in Livecyle and just save it, I get many "Argument mismatch in property or function argument" errors. Following is one of the places:

Now, when I delete the line "var name = CopyElementName.rawValue" with the comment PROBLEM LINE, the error goes away. CopyElementName is just a drop-down list.
I don't understand what is wrong in this line for it to cause the Argument mismatch error.

Using parameter fields gives an error in InfoView asking for prompting1.htm

Hi,
We have a number of Crystal Reports available to staff online via InfoView. The majority of these reports work fine. However, where the report uses a parameter field and allows the user to select certain criteria an error box appears looking for a html page called prompting1. It is looking for the html page in the CrystalReportViewer folder within the Temp folder. Having looked in the folder there is no such html page. I have created a blank prompting1.html but then the when the report is refreshed, it prompts for prompting2.html. When run using the client software the report runs as it should with no error message.Has anyone else come accross a similar problem?

VI runs from one account but gives an error 37 from another account

I'm still running LabView 5.0 on a Solaris Server, 2.8. This is really weird. I have
a VI that will run just fine under my account, but another user tries to run the same
VI and gets an error 37, device not found. We are using NI Serial Port Init.vi and when
I run it from my account which is unprivilege without using sudo, no errors, but when
this user runs its, error 37 occurs. Any reason why this happens? It sounds like a
permission problem, but I do not know where to look. Suggestions welcomed.

Hey guys, I found the answer in this post. I guess I did not look hard enough before I posted. Sorry.
In the .labviewrc file make sure this line is included.
labview.serialDevices:/dev/ttya:/dev/ttyb: . . . .
This sets ttya as port 0 , ttyb as port 1 etc etc.
You may have them set as root but not as a regular user.
Also for Solaris 2 , Labview expects the ports to be /dev/cua/a , /dev/cua/b ,
etc etc.
You may need to change / add those links. ( I am a labview programmer not a
Sys Admin !!)
Make sure that the line in the .labviewrc matches what ever these are set to.
Note that the first dev listed will be port 0, the next port 1 etc. so you can
set them in any
order that you wish.

ITunes recognizes iPhone but gives me error message iTunes can't sync

I always sync iPhone and iTunes on the same Mac computer. This is the first time I received an error message on iPhone that says iTunes cannot sync. Check iTunes for reason why it won't sync. Except, I don't see anywhere in iTunes that it shows he error message or gives me a reason why it didn't sync?
Is there a specific place in iTunes that I would locate an error message?
I checked category iphone 4 GSM, but notice there is a category iPhone 4 CDMA. Don't know the difference, so I just checked one.

Like most IDEs JBuilder too can be configured to not only use several compilers (in fact it can use a lot more than can Eclipse, basically any compiler you want it too rather than just a few built-in ones) and can also be set to accept different language compliance settings for each of them.
So even if your teacher has a 1.5 compiler installed it doesn't mean JBuilder will use it (it has to be told to use it) nor that his project settings will use 1.5 language compliance.
If he has a version older than JB 2005 he won't get syntax highlighting and things like that for 1.5 whatever he does, and won't get 1.5 level language features either (as those versions predate 1.5). He can plug in the 1.5 compiler but the IDE will reject the new language features because it simply doesn't recognise them.
Pre 3.1 Eclipse versions do the same.

Connecting to Exchange Server 2013 using IMAP command gives authenication error

My application (it is a C# code) connects to Microsoft exchange server 2013 using POP3 and IMAP, processes the emails, marks as read and move to particular folder if it is processed successfully else to an different folder. In this sometimes,
I am getting authentication failed error from IMAP however same mail is processed when it is executed next time. Few times it is processed with out error. I am not sure what is causing this issue.We are connecting to IMAP using tcpIMAP command.
This is the same application which we used with exchange server 2010 now we are upgrading to exchange server 2013. I have verified that the setting of exchange 2010 and 2013 are the same.
To verify the IMAP command I created a sample application using C# which will try to connect to IMAP service and log in to exchange server 2013; it fails to authenticate the user after connecting for few times and then it starts to authenticate
successfully then again fails for few times and then authenticates. I am not sure why this is happening.
Please suggest how can I resolve this.

Since I've upgraded to Snow Leopard I've also moved from Entourage 2008 to Mail, iCal & Addressbook with the new Exchange support.
My company exchange server is Exchange 2007.
Mail works fine except the occasional Mail crash.
iCal worked fine the first two days and then it came with an error the it cannot connect to the Exchange server and asks me to type my email address again. Doesn't work so I need to put my exchange calendar in iCal in offline. But now there is no syncing with the Echange server.
This only occurs when I add a meeting request in iCal.
My Exchange administrator has reset my mailbox on the Exchange server.
This helped for about 4 hours. Now it's the same problem.
I have a feeling the when you setup your exchange account in Mail it uses different settings for Mail and iCal with the autoconfig.
Anybody has a solution? My Exchange admin cannot find any problems on his side. Do I need to make changes on my iCal client or do we need to wait for OS 10.6.1 ?
