I've been using firefox for my macbook pro for the last three years but lately when it starts up, I hear a strange piano chord play. Have others experienced it?

Only recently has Firefox for my macbook pro been acting strange when starting up. I will hear a piano chord play only once when the tabs are loading. Over the past two-three weeks on daily usage, this has happened three times. I'm just concerned my macbook has a virus/bug or if this can be resolved with changing a preference/setting in Firefox. I don't believe this is a problem with my computer itself and I have checked the notification alert sounds and none are the piano chords I'm hearing. I am currently using two add-ons: Tabs-mix plus and FVD Speed Dial if that helps.

Does it happen when you start up in Safe Mode?

Getting an error that the iMessage cannot be initialized - why now, I have been using it for the last 3 years?

I cannot send iMessages anymore (have been able to do so for the last 3 years) and when I go Settings / Messages / the iMessage is OFF so when I turn it on it returns an error saying that iMessage cannot be initialized and that I should sign on with my Apple ID, which I did, but it still gives me the error.
Why is this happening and what can be done?

It won't be anything to do with Acrobat.
It may well be something with whatever created the PDF, the settings in whatever made the PDF, etc.
Does this happen with every PDF that you do not recreate by printing to PDF (I presume from Acrobat)?
If this is limited to particular PDFs from a particular application and the creator of the PDF is not an Adobe product, what created them?
If it is just some PDFs, can you upload one to dropbox.com and provide a link to it?

I have windows 7 and have been using Firefox for the last several months and now I can' open it up for some reason.

I've been using firefox as my principle browser for quite some time. I normally just click on it once and it opens to the home page with google search in the middle of the page. I downloaded some e-mail attachment about a job and that's when it seemed to act up. I ran a scan on my computer and it says there is no problems but I still can't open up Firefox home page by clicking on the fox/world icon.

I have been using my appletv for the last 4 months, gone to ue it today and the airplay icon dose not appear on me ipad2 running iso5 where is has been. I have also tried on my iphone 4 running iso 5 and again no joy.

Thanks Winston, restarting my router worked for me too. Seems that somehow the DCHP (maybe due to the Mountain Lion upgrade?) had assigned the same IP address to both the AppleTV and my iMac. The AppleTV stopped appearing as an AirPlay device for my iPhone and Mac, but still the AppleTV had Internet access.
Restarting the router reassigned IPs and without fanfare, the AppleTV is now available to AirPlay.

It's not that the Flash plugin has crashed, it's that Firefox will not play the code written - IE9 does, Chrome does, Safari does - what's up with your Flash support - it's been brain dead for the last three releases - ever since v4 I think

Enter this url in any modern browser IE9 (I never would have believed that I would be complaining about Firfox not working and IE does! - it that how far you've gone down?), Chrome (no wonder people are switching to it in droves) and even Safari - and it plays, but not in Firefox v6.02 - it used to play fine when I first uploaded it back in July 2010 (v3.6 Firefox I think)

i think it did this about 5 times, the first time it did it and I turned it back on
eeverything was fine , but then my wifi button went blue and even in settings the option to turn it on isn't available

Try doing this:
Settings -> General -> Reset -> Reset Network Connections
Phone will reboot, you will have to enter your WiFi Passwords again - BUT should resolve the problem.

I cannot open any Word document or even Powerpoints or anything related to Office 2008, which has been working fine for the last 2 years. I need help...

I installed an application called "You SendIt" because some audio files were sent to me and I had to access them through it. My Mac is running Windows and OS-X. I bought an version of Office 2008 separately. I tried to uninstall it, to get rid of all my downloads and also to reinstall Office 2008 but nothing works...
Whenever I try to open a Word file, for example, it says:
"The application Microsoft Word quit unexpectedly. Mac OS-X and other applications are not affected. Click relaunch to launch the application again. CLick Report to see more details or send a report to Apple"
Of course I have tried to reset and relaunch... But it does not work. I realized today I have the same problem with Powerpoint.
I have looked at Mac help forums... but no results...
So, if you or your friend had any idea on how to solve this, it would help me A LOT!!

Well, I tried to delete the Caches and I threw all the .plist files related to microsoft in the trash -- athough I don't know if this is the way to delete files but I haven't found another yet....
From your other suggestions, it seems to me that you have the impression that I want to stop using Microsoft Office (it was 2007, I made a mistake) though... but this is not the case.
So... tell me if I misunderstood correctly or if I did anything wrong, or if you have anything else to suggest...
